Established in 1939 Sussex is celebrating its 75th Year in business. We are proud to serve our award winning traditions like our Famous English Fish & Chips along side some new additions of locally grown wines. We pride ourselves on serving the best quality food to our customers while making your dining experience a pleasant one.

At Sussex we serve authentic English Fish & Chips and much more! Although famous for our Fish & Chips, originating in Sussex, England, we offer an extensive menu with all of your favorite seafood items along with chicken, steak, pasta, sandwiches & salads. Full liquor service is also available!

                                                    We were recommended this restaurant for the all-you-can-eat crab legs. SO WORTH IT!!! It's a neighborhood restaurant so don't expect fancy. The food is great. The service is awesome. The crab legs were big and fast to arrive. This location is 20 miles closer and $18 cheaper than Pickle Bill's!! Must try and go hungry!!! (Also, if you don't want ayce, they offer one and two pound options too.)

                                                    We both had the traditional fish and chips and the calamari appetizer. The fish and chips were great as usual but the calamari was exceptional! It was honestly some of the best calamari I've ever had.

                                                    We had another great meal as we celebrated my wife's birthday on Friday, Oct 28. The service was unusually slow this time, which put us in a time crunch for a theater performance we had booked after dinner. The food was great, tho. So we'll chalk this up to a busy night, I guess.

                                                    Had a nice dinner. The clambake was very good and certainly generous portions. Will go again to try some of the other entrees. We saw some lovely meals served to other patrons.

                                                    I really enjoyed my date here with my fiance. The crab legs were delicious and the setting was very intimate and perfect for our date. Our waitress was very helpful guiding us through the menu, welcoming and made sure we had everything when needed. I recommend this place to any couple for a date night.

                                                    The waitress was very attentive, friendly, and was able to make some recommendations after I told her this was our first time there. I think I may have had higher expectations than I should have. Nonetheless, I was disappointed with the quality of the crab cake dinner. I usually clean my plate, but left a full crab cake and picked through the first because the filler didn't have much crab and tasted more like a frozen crab cake then fresh. My wife had the fried fish and enjoyed it, but I doubt we'd come back. The prices on opentable also need to be updated.

                                                    Sussex is a fish place par excellence, but lobster isn't its forte. My wife and I had their famous col slaw. It is always so delicious with a sweet taste. We normally have the fish and chips which is world class. We should have stuck to that. Flavorless lobster leaves much to be desired.

                                                    This was our first visit to Susex and it was a good one. It was our granddaughters birthday. The service was excellent all during the dinner. The mussels and fried clams were great. The dinners were exceptional for all of us. The noise level was OK but a little noisy on occasion. The temperature of the room could not be changed due to the fan arrangement with the lights. Overall we were very pleased, we had a good time and felt that this was a place to return to for another occasion.

                                                    Wonderful waitress. Lobster bisque was more of a broth. Salad wilted. More of a local eatery not a fine fish house. But they could not have been nicer.
