Serving the finest in Steaks, Prime Rib & Seafood for over 60 years. Our founders Jerry and Lee Woods opened Sutter's Mill in 1958 on the corner of Foothill and Sayre in Sylmar. Sutter's Mill moved to Mission Hills in 1960.

Over the next 20 years two more restaurants and a night club were added. In 2007 the founders son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Salli, opened our current location in Simi Valley. While Joe and Salli are still active, day to day operations are run by their daughter-in-law, Marie Robinson. We are all working together to keep the legacy of our founders in tact and allow us to grow into new locations in the future to extend our 63 years in business.

Front desk staff were very friendly and efficient as was our server, Karen. Margaritas were great. All five us really enjoyed our entrees: ribeyes, salmon, chicken, ribs. Our three guests from Texas were very impressed with one of our local favorite restaurants.

Was a fantastic experience! Everything was perfect. Celebrated a Birthday and the food and service were top rated. Love to support a local place instead of a chain. First time here and we will be back. Thanks for a great meal.

Sutter Mill was INCREDIBLE!! We had such a great experience from start to finish. The service was amazing, and honestly, for the quality and amount of food you get, the price point is insanely good. I got the 12 oz prime rib and it was absolutely delicious. I did the loaded baked potato on the side (SO freaking good) and asked for butter on the side. I also got the wedge salad and when I tell you it was HUGE 😂 definitely shareable! Honestly, you could easily share the 12 oz prime rib and wedge salad with someone and have plenty of food. Everything was delicious, the portions were amazing, and the service made the whole experience even better. Such a great old-school steakhouse dinner without the crazy steakhouse price tag. We will absolutely be back! 🤍

The Prime Rib is always great. The server was right on everything. Great service and friendly too, a plus. Peach cobbler was a nice palet cleanser. And no corkage fee, the best way to have a great bottle of wine and not pay 3x’s its price.

Very attentive staff. Make you feel at home, and part of the family so to speak. The food was excellent, cooked to perfection. Love the decor with all the Tiffany esk lamps, table cloths, and great servers. All around a great place!

Love this hidden gem in Simi Valley. Brought a bottle of wine into the restaurant and no corkeage fee was charged. This is the best place ever. Will be back soon!!!❤️

Woman who seated us was very snippy. That was our introduction to the place . Our party of 6 asked to change tables. Became a small issue.. then.. no one -no other patrons came. — all other tables were empty.. no other souls except us/-on a Sat nite . Waiter was very nice , food good but not great for the price. . Not many people in the whole restaurant.. needssome updating and better menu and upgrading… disappointed. Prime rib was pretty good
