Taste of Beauty in West Hollywood is easily one of my favorite restaurants, and I’m so happy they are now serving lunch on Saturday & Sunday from 12:30 – 3:00 PM. Their plant-based cooking is always deeply artistic and intentional, drawing from Zen philosophy to turn every dish into actual edible art. While dinner is a full sensory ritual, the weekend lunch menu is a great way to explore their Asian fusion flavors in a way that feels both elevated and accessible. What we tried: 🥗 Appetizers: Truffle-Grove King Oyster Mushrooms, Earthling Rye Lotus Rings, Violet Orchard Slaw, Almond Mist Broccoli, Matsutake Forest Edamame 🥣 Soups: Kombu Horizon Miso Soup & Osmanthus Winter-Glow Sweet Soup 🍝 Mains: Silk-Sesame Garden Pasta & Sunlight Tomato Pasta 🥟 Buns: Golden-Seared Matsutake Chive Tofu Buns & Steamed Red Bean Cloud Buns 🍡 Dessert: Midnight Sesame Mochi & Emerald Breeze Spring Rolls 📍 616 N Robertson Blvd West Hollywood, CA 90069 @tasteofbeautyrestaurant Follow @superanitaa for more unique LA dining spots and plant-based gems ✨🥬

If you’re looking for a unique vegan or vegetarian fine dining experience, look no further than Taste of Beauty. They offer an 8 course vegetarian or vegan tasting menu for $99 Standout dishes on the vegetarian menu were: 🎋the mushroom and bamboo fungus broth (Pearl Fresh) 🍃the perilla leaf rice wrap (Emerald Tide) 🍄‍🟫oyster mushroom infused in rosemary shoyu butter (The Forest) What I loved most was how nourishing the entire meal felt. Plant-forward dining like this reminds me that vegetables can absolutely be indulgent. Meals centered around mushrooms, herbs, and whole plant ingredients naturally bring fiber, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory benefits — and you leave feeling energized instead of weighed down. Service was a bit slow at times, but they’ve only been open about six months, so there’s definitely room for refinement. The potential is absolutely there, and I always appreciate seeing new concepts grow into their rhythm. 📍taste of beauty | 616 N Robertson Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069 . . . . . . #yummy #food #plantbased #vegan #vegetarian

This meal was absolutely stunning 🌿✨ Taste of Beauty in West Hollywood delivers a plant-based tasting menu that feels thoughtful, artistic, and genuinely unforgettable. Every course was beautifully plated, and each bite offered its own distinct textures and layers of flavor that continued to unfold throughout the night. The menu highlights the depth, creativity, and versatility of vegetarian and vegan cuisine, with dishes that are bold, balanced, and deeply satisfying. It’s the kind of dining experience that invites you to slow down, stay present, and truly appreciate food as both art and expression 🥬🍽️ Perfect for date nights, celebrations, or when you’re looking for a meaningful dining experience that feels elevated and unique within the LA food scene. @tasteofbeautyrestaurant 📍 616 N Robertson Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069 ⏰ Wed–Fri: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Follow @superanitaa for more LA dining experiences ✨

Taste of Beauty in West Hollywood offers a 6 course tasting menu. You can choose either the vegan or vegetarian option. I luckily got to try both options. Among my favorites were the pumpkin soup, eggplant, risotto, and oyster mushroom in charcoal. It was truly a memorable food journey. 📍Taste of Beauty 616 N Robertson Blvd Hollywood, CA 90069 #losangeles #la #vegan #veganfood #vegetarian #tasteofbeauty #weho #restaurant #veganresturant

Good attempt, but food not flavorful, not coursed out well, and too many fried things. Servers not very knowledgeable about portion sizes or details of the food.

this place is a scam. we came for soup dumplings (which they apparently only serve at lunch but they gave us for dinner which was nice), but unfortunately there is no soup in the dumplings. they were decent, as was the tea & tofu pocket thing, but the portions were for ants, which was not indicated anywhere. they gave us war rations of soy sauce for some reason, and they also sneakily charged $9 for still water, when the menu said $5, & we expected $0. we’re writing this from Tender Greens where we had to go immediately after to get actual dinner for 15% of the price.

Beautiful food and presentation. I asked for a cup to take the rest of the tea bc I knew my daughter would love it and instead she brought me a bunch of the tea bags to bring home. It was so sweet.

We thought this place was incredible! Our server, Lily, explained every dish as we navigated the menu as we decided to order à la carte. Each course was a work of art and the flavors were amazing. The mushroom and cheesy mashed potatoes was the ultimate comfort food flavor and I found myself licking my fork! I hope I get to eat here again.

TOB is a somewhat of an unknown RARE GEM! It’s truly a divine experience. It’s not your typical, standard menu. I ordered the 8 course Vegan tasting menu and was wildly impressed at the plating presentation, how innovative the flavors were and just how specifically crafted each dish was!! And this is not your typical tasting menu, the portions were more of appetizer size and we were surprisingly full by the 5th & 6th course! Making it a very reasonable deal. The service was top notch! Our server was so kind, sweet, funny and informative. Unlike all the restaurants in Los Angeles, TOB is anything but typical. It’s an elevated experience!!

Some years back, I studied the philosophy of Dr. Bach who gave us Bach flower remedies. His theory was that food should be esthetically pleasing, and that we would know what we should be eating by food meant for us being beautiful. Plant foods are beautiful, as Taste of Beauty demonstrates. There is nothing beautiful about the flesh of an animal on our plates, which is one reason among others that I am a lifelong vegetarian and most of the time, vegan. This is a thoughtfully designed spot. It is easy to find and park (garage in the rear for $2.00!) and the dining area itself is divided into the main room and some alcoves. In pleasant weather, you can eat on the covered patio. The place is clean, subdued, lovely, and calming. Our server was very polite and patient, explaining each element of the meal to us carefully. The descriptions of what we had, the 8-course Vegetarian menu, is on one of my photos of the menu. The dishes were delicately presented in order. Notice the exquisite artistry and the attention to tiny details in each dish. There were color, flavor, scent, and design considerations with balance being another governing factor of how everything was chosen and arranged. The selections are curated in just as thoughtful a manner as any museum. Everything we had was delicious. We do not eat large quantities at any one sitting, so this menu was perfect for lunch for two of us. One of the courses emitted a lovely smoke. Another gleamed with a gold accent, one other had fragrant sprigs of rosemary that I kept picking up to smell. All these facets made the food appetizing. See my pictures for a better idea. Be aware that you are asked to choose at least one tasting menu (there are three), and can then order a la carte from there. Dr. Bach believed beautiful food healed the mind and therefore the body. We can all use some of both these days. Please try it and I assure you, it will be memorable.
