We believe that food that is inspired will translate into dishes that are the right blend of modern, yet approachable, familiar yet creative. This is the key to a memorable meal. Wine pairings ($95) and a bottle list will be offered, as well as some classic cocktails and non-alcoholic options. The atmosphere is intimate and modern. Business-casual or “cocktail” attire is suggested.
Tuesday - Saturday, 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Everything about this dinner was absolutely first class. From the eager to please staff and culinary team, to the thoughtful and delicious food, it was a home run. We will be back.
A divine dining experience from the expertly prepared food, to the outstanding service and chic environment. My husband and I have eaten here before and we will return again and again. This restaurant is a little publicized or spoken about jewel. A must for foodies and all those who love creative cuisine.
Temporis is among the Top 3-5 meals you can find in Chicago. The creativity of the menu was superb, the plating and execution were both beautiful. Sam crafted an amazing meal and Laura and Don were an absolute joy to spend the evening with. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
great evening for a special occasion. Each plate was more creative than the last. The presentation was beautiful and with some very unique touches. It was a taste bud celebration!!!!
Chefs Don and Sam have a great thing going. From the moment we walked in until we left we experienced excellent service and great food. The 10 course menu was exceptional especially when paired with the great wine selection.
We have been looking for a fine dining experience ever since we had a reservation at Grace that was abruptly canceled. Well we found it at Temporis!!!!
First the service. Laura’s knowledge of the wines was awesome. And James, Gustavo and Audrey were extremely attentive and super professional as we advanced through each course on the menu.
Next the food. Each course was the perfect size to experience the multiple flavors that were perfectly matched. The salmon and lamb just being two examples. And it was a nice touch to have a table centerpiece that was edible and actually added to one of our courses. And the herbs were homegrown. Awesome.
Finally, this is a small and quaint place in West Town with very nice decor that we will visit many times in the future. Keep up the great work Temporis!!! Can’t wait for your next 10 course menu.
Fabulous food and service. The tables are rather close and the two couples next to us were rather loud. It was quite distracting but we cannot day enough about the chef, the food and the service.
We would still gladly return during our next visit to Chicago and highly recommended the restaurant to our many friends who live in Chicago.
Phenomenal cuisine with equally phenomenal service. Looking forward to coming back in the near future.
Dining at Temporis was a wonderful experience! The meal was impeccable and interesting from start to finish.
Came here for my mother's birthday - the food was phenomenal and the service was equally amazing. Absolutely loved it and was worth every penny!
Fantastic restaurant the is under the radar in the fine Chicago dining scene. Strongly recommend this place.
Our experience this evening has been phenomenal. From the first moment through the door to the very end, Laura, Audrey and Gustavo were all very welcoming, and accommodating. The service was impeccable-not intrusive, very polite yet still warm and genuine. The food was simply amazing! Each dish was meticulously thought out and plated appropriately. Some courses were pure and quietly beautiful, while others were wildly delicious. The portions were appropriate for the 10 course experience and Chef Donald Young executed impeccably. I have a nuisance of an allergy yet I still received incredible dishes which did not effect the integrity of Chef’s vision for the course. Thank you! I would suspect that if he doesn’t already, a Beard nod/ award should be awarded. The restaurant is only shy of 2 years old yet the owner, Sam Plotnick, has a jewel of a restaurant in his hands. You can sense the passion and pride in the food and service. I anticipate a Michelin star going to this incredible restaurant in the near future. Our only regret is that we do not live in Chicago so we can dine here more often. Thank you for an incredible experience!
Amazing. Everything was perfect
Amazing food. If you are in Chicago. Go there.
Went for my wife's birthday. We found the food delicious top to bottom, didn't find any courses that were so so. Reserve wine pairing very good, only one of five that we felt missed the mark. Service was very good, but I would say not outstanding. Highly recommended.
I celebrated my engagement at Temporis and had a wonderful time. The tasting menu was a memorable journey. We were able to refresh our palate on fresh herbs served at the center of the table. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with a sophisticated palate and an interest in expanding their culinary experiences. The presentation is beautiful, the food is phenomenal, and the service exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend the wine pairing and dining for a celebration, special occasion, or a memorable evening.
I look forward to coming back before the restaurant becomes too popular!
Temporis is a hidden gem! The set menu is outstanding and changes every couple of months. They have a notable wine list and provide two options for wine-pairings. The service is always fantastic and the ambiance pleasant. The restaurant only has a few tables, so you should definitely book ahead. Having only a few tables also makes it a unique and enjoyable experience. Great for special occasions as well as business meals.
Excellent meal. Talented and creative chefs. Enjoyed celebrating our anniversary.
Very inventive dishes but the taste combinations did not always work. The dishes were visually stunning. Of the 10 dishes served, 5 were outstanding and 5 were less successful. The service was a little overbearing -- we were brusquely interrupted several times in order to let us know the wine pairing had been decanted for 90 minutes or something else of minor importance. The decor was nice and the bathrooms impeccable. For the price, I was expecting something more elevated and, for the venue, the service to be more attuned to casual elegance. They are clearly trying very hard but their reach exceeds their grasp. Wish I liked it more but my wife says she would be harsher in her appraisal.
Food is fantastic but service was very slow with too much time between courses. Also, portions were a little large for a tasting, so we were uncomfortably full after about 6 of 10 courses. We asked to speed thing up about half way, and we were still there almost 3 hours. Even though they knew we were there for my birthday, they didn’t do anything special (not even a candle). Also, soap was broken in one of the bathrooms, which we told them, but when we returned to the bathroom, they hadn’t done anything to fix it. Food is worthy of a Michelin star, but pacing needs to be fixed as does things like the soap issue.
We celebrated our 10th anniversary and it was a true delight. The staff was so friendly and the food was incredible. This is a unique spot and if you enjoy multi-course, exceptional cuisine, make a visit here!
Awesome performance and delivery on all levels. Bravo!
One word: Marvelous!
Very intimate setting, the staff was very attentive and helpful. Food was unique and the flavors were exceptional. Wining pairing was great and they were very generous with the pours! Food and wine was on par with similar, more expensive tasting menus we’ve done recently.
Absolutely fabulous!! Highly recommend for an amazing foodie experience!
Outstanding experience and food. The service was exemplary and the food was out of this world. There were so many nice touches that they did throughout the entire night. I have to say that the Foie Gras ice cream was such a fun a wonderful new experience. And as we progressed through each course we were really impressed at how they built on one another into just an amazing overall experience.
Where do I begin?! While I have had the opportunity to dine all over the U.S., and even globally, this incredible dining experience was singularly, utterly, and uniquely brilliant, even among many Michelin-starred restaurants. The first thing that I'd like to share is that the flavor combinations, complexities and matching (including the reserve wine pairings) were off-the-charts amazing. By the end of the meal, we had thrown in the towel, as our palates (and brains) could not possibly process another manifold, mosaic and marvelous course! I would wager that even the most sophisticated palates will be challenged (in the most surprising and wonderful ways) to take in the veritable bounty of intricate essences. Kudos, Team Temporis, for providing to us one of the most seminal and influential culinary experiences imaginable. Some highlights: the escargot, the capellini, the ONION(!), the venison. Oh, and just in case you were wondering, the dining experience itself is...well, sensual (yes!), from the dinnerware to the flatware, nothing is left to chance, and everything is strategic, additive, to the overall experience. The only note (suggestion) I would leave for the team: Perhaps consider revisiting the background music playlist...(it was just a bit too near rave-y / uptempo at times...). Otherwise, keep doing what you are doing, keep the course, remain brave, fearless - and absolute success shall follow!
Outstanding tasting menu, creative and simply delicious. As good as any tasting menu I've had.
The food was delicious, the wine pairing well executed and the staff delightful.
One of the finest meal I had in Chicago in a very long time.
Very special place. I hope it does well as it clearly deserves it!
Amazing culinary experience in a quaint yet high-class setting. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone that appreciates fine dining.
Fantastic dining experience, creative and memorable cuisine, personal attention and impressive wine list.
Fantastic culinary experience.
A wonderful experience for a foodie! Get to Temporis before it becomes as insanely popular as it deserves to be. Chefs Sam Plotnik and Don Young have done a superb job. The food is a wonderful 10 course meal. The service is impeccable. The ambiance is very contemporary and very conducive to a 2.5 hour feast for your senses. One of Chicago's best.
Temporis is the city's best kept secret. They have some of the most incredible food that will impress any foodie without being unapproachable. Each plate had thoughtful balance and aesthetically delightful plating. The food was inventive without forgetting that the flavor comes first. The chefs show a wide range of techniques across the menu. You would never know that there are only two chefs behind the curtain of the coziest kitchen. One would be in awe of the precision and inventive dishes that come out of the small kitchen. Each dish came out at the perfect temperature. (My worst nightmare is when food comes out cold when it should be hot, and you spend too much money for less than mediocre food.) Temporis thinks of every detail and timing. Excellent pace between each course. I cannot rave about the food enough.
The space itself is very sleek and cool without being uninviting. When first walk in you are welcomed by the most warm and friendly staff. The wine pairing (I did the reserve, high worth it) was perfectly matched and transitioned beautifully from one wine course to the next. The amount of information given was not too much and not too little.
Additionally, I included extra notes on my open table reservation. The chefs and staff went above and beyond my expectations. It was a personalized meal for me and my dinner date. If you are looking for a really special meal for any occasion, go to Temporis.
Excellent food and service. They adjusted nearly every dish to avoid an ingredient preference, which was far more than most similar restaurants will do for a tasting menu. Will be back!
Wonderful food, great service! Many favorites, and not a bad one in all 10 courses! Would definitely go again!
My third time at the restaurant and still wonderful. The food is very inventive with fantastic flavors and beautiful presentation. Drinks were great (thank you, Audrey), and Laura and Audrey do a wonderful job of pacing and describing the various courses. A terrific tasting menu that I would recommend to anyone. Also a very nice wine list with bottles in all ranges. Don't miss Temporis.
The service was excellent and the ambiance was quiet. The food was all prepared with care but days later I can't say anything really will last in my memory. The wine pairing, while generously poured, wasn't really a hit with every course. Therefore the value wasn't really there for me.
The food is really good. Last time I enjoyed every dish on the tasting menu was at Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare :) The fore gras ice cream is so good, it's so much better than the one in Band of Bohemian. It's not too fat or too sweet.
Outstanding cusine. Sophisticated without being over-the-top. Pricey, but worth it. We left happy.
We celebrated Valentines Day at Temporis and wow - I am so glad we did. Tasting menus are always a treat but this was something amazing. I had the premium wine pairing and my husband had the regular pairing. Both were perfect. Five wine selections perfectly complemented the ten courses. The attention to detail : spectacular. Sevice : awesome.
This isn't just an adventure for the palate but for the eyes and nose as well. I don't want to give away any surprises in my review. When L2O in Lincoln Park closed, I feared we'd never have such an intimate food experience like that again. Temporis didn't disappoint in any regard.
Some tasting menus includes one course (or more) that you could live without. Not so here. Everyone was excellent, inventive and worthy. Well done!
