This restaurant did not honor the open table reservation. We got a confirmation and even a email saying that they could accommodate my daughter’s gluten allergy. But when we arrived they were closed for a private party. And they said that we shouldn’t have used opentable. They do not even offer dinner at the time we made the reservation for and the menu that I saw wasn’t correct. They turned us away. So this was a total fail.

Wonderful meal and excellent service! Would definitely return. We also enjoyed the live music in the bar after our dinner.

This restaurant essentially refused to seat us. We approached the very rude person standing guard at the gate and when we told him that we had a reservation, he said it was not possible and shooed us away with instructions to go to the other restaurant of the same name across town. We mistakenly took his advice, and were informed by the other restaurant (who actually took the time to look at our reservation information) that we were in fact at the wrong location. We returned to the man guarding the gate, who again stated that it was not possible that we had a reservation, and only after forcing him to look at my phone screen, did he take us to someone who I assume was a manager. She looked up our reservation and stated that it was for the bar which had stopped serving food. She told me the restaurant only serves lunch. I questioned why I was able to make a reservation for dinner. She then told me the restaurant was fully booked. I informed her that I made the reservation for dinner with standard seating selected and in no place on open table was there an indication that this was for the bar. In summary, we made a reservation for dinner that was not honored by the restaurant. We were treated incredibly rudely, and in a city that is otherwise very wonderful, this was an unfortunate way to end our vacation.

Visited this bar / restaurant as we were staying elsewhere and this hotel is meant to be amazing. The view is amazing and the hotel occupies a very nice plot and grounds; looks quality befitting its 5 star status. The waitress who served us was charming and welcoming. Other staff were equally helpful etc. The evening menu in this outdoor bar / seating area is basically snacks such as burgers etc. Even better if ….would have been a slightly broader menu eg salads etc. Choice of drinks was good. A couple of things to be aware of : slightly irritating number of people scrambling around our table to take selfies with the great view in the background. And be careful using the location address on your reservation with open table. The address quoted as of 12 April 2025 relates to a rooftop restaurant of the same name at the continental hotel in Sorrento , not the one at Vittoria excelsior hotel. We worked it out in the end with help of very nice receptionist called Salvatore at the continental hotel. His help and passion for his own hotel restaurant would have encouraged us to visit but this was our last evening in the trip so missed it. So a request to the excelsior Vittoria and Open Table please amend the address to the correct one. Thank you

Will always eat here when we’re near Sorrento. The food and service are amazing. The views are spectacular. Shout to Pasqualino and Castello.

Absolutely beautiful spot to sit and eat lunch. Magnificent views of the water from a wonderful terrace. Could not have asked for a nicer setting. Food was delicious, service was good. Can’t say a bad thing about our afternoon lunch.
