Thara Thong serves authentic Bangkok fare in a grand traditional setting. Dine at charming floor seating and low tables beneath an ornate hand-carved teakwood pavilion with large, handsomely dressed windows. The dining room and outdoor terrace overlook serene views of the legendary Chao Phraya River, while the gentle sound of live Thai classical music adds to the unique atmosphere. Located on First Floor, Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers

Here, sublime regional favorites are served, beginning with rich and fragrant Tom Yum Kung—hot and sour soup with shelled prawns—and Yum Som-O—Thai pomelo chicken salad. Choose from a range of delicious vegetarian, meat, and seafood dishes. Entrées are prepared with care and served with flare befitting the Royal Court.

Thai classical music and dance performances are presented every Thursday to Sunday from 7:00pm to 9:30pm. Smoking is allowed on the Smoking area only.

Very nice venue that gives you that Thai flavour that very often is missing elsewhere. Friendly service but impeccable. Food well prepared and served. Very nice wine list. The music-and-dance show really interesting and well done.

Food was very good, but service was slow and disjointed. Hadn’t been back here for several years and was disappointed with the tidiness of the dining room…shoes strewn all about. Not sure why you don’t have a shelf or somewhere to store them. Not a good look! Also, obnoxious tourists were ruining the Thai dance show. Really made it feel not very authentic!

Great water views, we ordered three different Pad Thais. I got extremely sick from eating my soft shell crab meal.
