The food was not as good as other comparable restaurants and the portion sizes we're very small. I would not recommend.
All 4 diners enjoyed Bellemore our selections from the prix fixe menu. The soup was perfect for a Chicago winter day and the steak and avocado salad a generous portion with the right balance of protein and veggies. The staff attentive but not intrusive. Perfect to celebrate a co-worker's bday and new home purchase. Can't wait to return to try other dishes!
Spectacular meal, everything we ate from the venison tartare to the arctic char were perfection. I haven't had sea scallops that inspired me like this ever. Absolutely beautiful but not overly-formal space, it's all in the details and they are plentiful. I loved the return to a more traditional dining experience vs. the shared plates we've all seen for the last ten plus years. We will be back.
My wife loved it. Her birthday falls two days before Valentine’s Day, and we were also celebrating a big win for her at work. She loved the food, she loved the wine, and the staff was nice enough to all sign her birthday card!
Bellemore offers very good food: Well executed, creative, good balance of flavors. A couple of small slip ups on the service side but easily forgettable due to the quality of the food. Will be back for sure !
Great deco. Food was fantastic. We sat by the windows were it was a little chilly and tables there were tight. Their were tables that were very spacious however
We had only one small issue with scallop dish as they were a bit on the dry side. I think leaving them whole would've done the trick. Otherwise amazing food and service was fantastic. I'd recommend it for a romantic night or special occasion. Get the canale for dessert. It is sure to please.

Came here for an early birthday celebration. When we were seated, we realized there was a card in the table, a birthday card signed by the staff. Such a nice touch. Chris was our server. He was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He recommended two different red wines, both of which were excellent.
The menu is small, 4-6 choices for each category, first, second and third. We each ordered 2 courses. The venison tartare was very good, a little salty: one of their signature dishes, definitely worth a try. The scallops were very tasty: lots of good flavors with a little bit of crunch to bring some interest. A squid ink pasta with shrimp and chorizo was very tasty, and rich. The Arctic char with Brussels sprouts was incredible. Crispy skin and perfectly cooked.
They brought us a birthday dessert, chocolate mousse cake, which was very good as well. The portions are small, 3 courses would not be too much, and the food was excellent. A wonderful experience.
Food, service and atmosphere were a excellent. They still have their restaurant week menu at lunch, which was great.

The restaurant came highly recommended on all of Chicago articles on best eats. We were able to get a dinner reservation for a Sunday evening a few days prior. The restaurant has great staff, attention to detail, wonderful decor and an excellent menu. We were greeted and given a detail account of the menu and the restaurant history, as well as recommendations and substitutions. I have a dairy free diet and they were able to accommodate that with the menu options. We enjoyed all of the courses but my favorite was the spaghetti chitarra. I look forward to returning to Chicago and visiting the Bellemore to try their oyster pie.

Dined here for lunch during Restaurant Week. Everything that my boyfriend and I had was delicious. We had the sweet potato tatter tots, the carrot toast (almost too beautiful to eat), the steak salad, the chicken sandwich (the potato chips were addicting), and an apple pastry and chocolate mousse for dessert. The presentation and taste were equally impressive. Some of the portions could have been a bit bigger because anything ordered on its own would have left us hungry - that may just have been due to the fact that we're working on keeping our bodies well insulated post polar vortex though. :/
I would highly recommend to a friend and will be back soon!
We had an absolutely fabulous time at Bellemore on the last night of Restaurant Week. The menu selections for Restaurant Week were wonderful and the food was outstanding. Everything was extremely high quality. The best part of our dinner, however, was our waiter Chris. He was extremely knowledgeable and recommended excellent wine pairings with each of our dishes. I'm afraid we are quite spoiled now. I don't think we'll be able to come back and not have Chris as our "guide".
We enjoyed Bellemore during Restaurant week. The ambiance, service, food, cocktails were fabulous. The prix fixe menu was well balanced and generous. The wine list did not offer many "reasonable" options.

First time dining for restaurant week. Food was exceptional as well as the service. Can't wait to experience dinner. Could actually visit with companion although every table was occupied...a real treat!

My husband and I were there for the restaurant week. We tried most of the stuff from the menu and everything was very tasty. The rigatoni and scallops were outstanding. Highly recommend for a date night. I gave them 4 star for making us wait at the bar for awhile even though we had a reservation.

Came to try Restaurant Week menu. Chicken sandwich was delicious! The Latte way too strong and somewhat a disappointment but the dessert made up for it. Lovely presentation of the chocolate mousse.
Overall great experience. The cocktails were outstanding right off the bat. It was the restaurant week menu so it’s always going to be a given that the finesse and artistry level is slightly lower than normal— would love to go back and try the standard dinner menu. Definitely one of the better restaurant week experiences we had! Loved the ambiance and 2 of the courses were particularly fabulous.

Read many positive reviews on yelp and decided to give it a try during Restaurant Week. The chef really surprised us with his food! Everything was made very thoughfully. There is so much going on after each bite. You taste many different flavors and the ingredients are extremly fresh. This has become one of my favorite restaurnts in Chicago.
Bellemore is a ‘must’ go to! Great ambiance, good menu. We went during restaurant week so that’s the only reason we rated the service not perfect - they were super busy! We can’t wait to go back.
Beautiful experience for Chicago Restaurant Week! Even though it was RW, Bellemore did not skimp on the food or in the service. I had a wonderful time and my server couldn't have been more well-informed about the menu and friendly. The Atlantic cod was cooked to perfection but I would have to say that the chocolate mousse with mango sherbet was probably my favorite part!
