I attended the Caymus wine dinner and it was very disappointing. The wine wasn’t served until the wine rep had finished talking about it, they gave small pours with no extra tastings ( they usually give you a little more for comparison purposes), the food courses were so small they seemed like appetizers, and the main course, duck, was so tough I could hardly cut it. Most people left to get dinner afterwards.

They accommodated my dietary restriction of no pork. Only miss was not offering second pours of wines to me though they offered it to other guests.

Aside from a bit of sticker shock when we got the bill (~$700 for 2 people including drinks and tip), it was a beautiful evening. Enjoyed everything about the experience. Quiet, intimate, with superb food and service. A great way to celebrate a special occasion!

Restaurant takes a credit card number to make a reservation so you can’t back out. I had no idea it was fixed tasting menu. So you get tiny little “tastings” of mostly disgusting items. All this said it’s $150 per person. So if your adventurous, have a lot of time and money to kill and your not very hungry then this is the place for you! I never write reviews but I need to warn people so you don’t fall into the same trap as I did with my wife. We chalked this one up to an “experience” lol

Food was amazing. They seemed a bit short staffed however and food took some time to come out

This was a special event with the Modern Art Museum and my first time to try this restaurant. The event was "over the top", food was excellent. The noise from the kitchen was so loud from the table we were seated at; I seriously considered leaving the event. This table should be eliminated from the dining room. One of the chef who came to our table saved the experience for us.

I was here for a special event and it was wonderful. The food was delicious. The staff were gracious and attentive. The room was private while still being accessible. Overall a great experience.

Overpriced and underwhelming Deviled egg was the highlight of the night, overcooked dry lobster was not a good way to start the new years

We will certainly be returning; the cuisine was exceptional, and the wine pairing was well-executed. We would have appreciated a greater selection of Texas wines. Please be advised that we were charged for parking by the valet attendant, despite our ticket being validated and the website indicating complimentary service. The attendant stated that parking was $10 and that validation only provided a 50% discount. Given the cold weather, we decided not to engage in a lengthy discussion at that moment. (This was on top of the tip we gave)
