Panoramic sea views on Kemptown seafront. This owner run bistro pub offers home cooked food and wonderful Sunday lunches. Friendly, informal service in a beautiful historic building located midway between the pier and the marina. The Bristol is a sophisticated venue that welcomes well behaved dogs and children aged 12 and over for lunch. The evenings are reserved for the grown ups. Formerly The Bristol Hotel, our art deco bar still retains it's classic ambience to make the most of the sea views and offers guests something that little bit special.

First time dining here and we had a lovely time. Great table with views out to the sea. The staff were very attentive throughout the evening. The food was outstanding! The portions were generous, and everything tasted delicious. We had the king prawns and mackerel pate to start, followed by half roast chicken and Coronation chicken (off the specials board). To finish we had cheese & biscuits and the lemon posset. We will definitely return.

Sunday lunch with a friend. Outstanding food as always. Excellent choice of wines. To go with the meal, and exceptional service. A quiet and relaxing atmosphere, allows you to enjoy the food, the wine, and catch up with friends whilst taking in the sea view. Thank you Simon and his team

We booked a table with a nice view out to sea. On arrival, we received a very friendly welcome. We ordered drinks and were shown to our table and the drinks brought over. Having enjoyed most of our pre-dinner drinks, we ordered food. My wife had the chicken and I had lamb shank, although I nearly went for the beef dijon on the specials menu, but eventually chose the lamb. The food arrived and we were pleased with it. The chicken was not over-cooked (as it often can be), and the fries were good. The lamb shank came with green beans and mash. Nicely cooked. Beans not over-done, lamb just right. I had a large malbec with my main, which was good. We shared a lemon & lime pousett for dessert. Very nice. I had some doubts when I booked it, but we were very pleased. Would use this restaurant again.
