The Butcher’s Son is our take on the Classic American Steakhouse. I’ve always loved the feel and different styles of steakhouses. Old Chicago-based steakhouses have that rustic gangster feel; and while New York City has that as well, it seems a bit nuanced by a Wall Street or Broadway type of influence. Down south you see the Plantation style Chop Houses with New Orleans architecture or the Miami 'Copacabana' feel. I love them all and I think they are all part of our American story. We want to be a part of that story.

We had a nice Father's Day dinner there; however I think the fish dinners were better than the steak. My husband's steak was overdone. A steak house should know, by now, how to do steaks perfectly for the price they charge. My salmon was excellent as were my daughter-in-law's crab cakes....and those prices were fine. Would return if friends invited us, and we would order fish. We would probably not go back on our own accord. Also, much too noisy in the main dining room for the prices they charge...no white table cloths!

We came to try their "Early special" from 5-6 pm (M-F). You can get two 6 oz sirloins with 2 sides for $22. This is a really great deal because they are at least 6 oz and always cooked exactly the way you order it. The staff is also outstanding. We also enjoy their Sunday Brunch. They just raised the price from $15 to $20. I never understood how they could afford the $15 price tag since you got so much. If you haven't tried it I highly recommend it. The $20 price tag is still a great deal and the choinces of food are always outstanding.

We went to this restaurant for our anniversary. This was our second time dining there. Service was perfect, steak was great, the shrimp imperial was tasty; however the shrimp were small. It is very loud in there so I don't recommend for romantic settings. First time there we were with another couple and it was perfect. We will be back and we're happy it is in our neighborhood.

The food was really good for the Sunday brunch and had the usual high quality with Butcher's Son. The spaces to get to a couple of the food stations was pretty tight but other than that is was great and is highly recommended.

Beelautiful place with a pleasant staff. Our food was perfectly cooked and our experience was what we had hoped for. We look forward to going back to enjoy more of their tasty menu items.
