It was a great experience if you're a cheese lover, all dishes were really nice.
Great cheese, a bit cramped, a bit on the pricey side, food was spot on, it was ashame all the cheeses from the board weren't available.
Brilliant as always .. I said it was my second favourite restaurant in
London but this is
Now my first ...
Great selection of classic cheese dishes in an intimate restaurant, ideal for couples or friends catching up over cheese. Good value and nice selection of wines to match. Will definitely be going back at some point in the future!
First time to cheese bar. Had fondue to start which was lovely, enough for family of 4. But get chips as well to dip in. Cheesy chips food of the gods. Staff helpful and friendly. Lovely relaxed time. Will be going again. Heaven for cheese lovers. Believe it or not, enough to eat. And something a bit different. Cheers
Amazing! If you love cheese, you need this place in your life. Food is fabulous, service was so good, and overall we had a great time. We’ll be back
10 of us visited for my husband’s 40th on a trip to London. We absolutely loved it everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal! Firm favourite was the cheese fondue (glad this was my choice!) it was amazing!!! A must visit for any cheese lover! It’s not very big so definitely book in advance!
Fabulous cheeses celebrating best of British. Would highly recommend for any cheese lovers or if you’re looking for something a little different. Service fab also. Wine pairings excellent. Would recommend booking. Great atmosphere and buzz in the place.
It was a wonderful place to eat. The staff were kind, welcoming, attentive, knowledgable and clearly very hard working. The food was great and am really looking forward to coming back in the future. The only tiny tiny negative was that with the Waterloo cheese there wasn’t very much bread.
But this really is a very minor detail. A great place to eat.
Fantastic and thanks for acknowledging our birthdays! 🥰
We expected this place to be really funky and dishes to be quite special considering its a cheese bar. However, everything looked and tasted just average. The only fun fact was that it's called a cheese bar and they use many different cheeses in their dishes. Staff was nice but honestly we were not impressed by the place. Even the toilet was within the market rather than the restaurant. I think it's nice if you just pop in for a sandwich while you are visiting camden market but not for a meal like we were planning. Be aware!
I absolutely loved it - for anyone that likes cheese this is a must :)
Outstanding food and great service. Despite everything having cheese in, every dish was different, tasty and fresh. Only very minor fault - no virgin cocktails.
Food was amazing, so much flavour, best fondue I have had in a long time. Already looking to go back there again soon
It was a nice place but my main wasn't very nice, And a bit over priced.
Much below my expectations. Average pre-cooked meals and therefore if you have allergies, intolerances or simply you don’t like one ingredient - you are forced to choose something else.
Pricey for the quality.
Staff was very nice and attentive.
Personally I will not come back
The food was exceptional and great value! It was a lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff with quick service and filling up of tap water was great!
Absolutely awesome. Servers knew the cheeses and presented it with a detailed description and precise recommendation. We enjoyed our lunch and will return to try the rest of the menu.
Great service, interesting selection of cheese.
Amazing food and a really nice atmosphere. Would happily come back to try the things I didn't last time
Excellent products and well prepared, good wine selection, friendly service. Note that I'm French and particularly picky with all these things! Amongst other delights, try the grilled sandwiches, they are the best you'll have ever tasted!
My second visit in a month! Amazing food and service, love the relaxed bar seating, great atmosphere.
The food was terrible. The service was good
Atmosphere waa strange abit flat but nevertherless seating was good. Cheese board was barely worth calling a cheese board, crackers tasted like burnt biscuits. Truffle cheese chips i could of made at home. Service was very poor staff looked like they had just woke up, little enthusiasm or care. Wine was good but this place could be better but sadly ill be making my grilled cheese sandwiches at home instead of wasting money here.
Delicious food...good atmosphere and friendly staff. Had mozzarella sticks which were fresh, light and delicious and the cheese puffs/profiteroles were amazing. Cheese fondue highly recommended. I didn’t use the toilets but it would appear these are situated outwith the restaurant.
I was asked if it was a special event, I put that it was a birthday however nothing came of this. The loo situation was not ideal, I’m not sure if this is usual but we had to use a card, leave the restaurant and go to the public toilets a few minutes away in the rain. Despite this, the food was absolutely amazing!! I would go back just for the food!
Such an amazing selection of cheese! Also all from England and the wine is quality too. Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed our food and time there, as well as the staff who where nice and friendly:)
We pre-booked in advance, and dined at lunchtime. As it is only a very small establishment, it was extremely quiet when we arrived, and it felt like you needed to whisper your conversations so as not to be heard by the few other guests already there. The atmosphere did pick up once more guests arrived, though it was still quite quiet even with most of the seats taken.
The food was delicious, and as cheese fans we absolutely loved it. It's a definite must-visit for any cheese lovers and we would recommend the blue cheese raclette and deep fried cheesey jalapenos - delicious!
I've worked in hospitality my whole life, this was th perfect dining experience. The service was delightful and speedy without being overbearing, couldn't have asked for more. It wasn't in any way too loud, but there was a nice buzz to the atmosphere. The FOOD. The food is amazing, the fondue absolutely to die for as was everything else we had. Honestly we couldn't fault a thing which is very rare.
Great experience - staff was not only friendly but conversational and had some good banter with them. Food and drinks were served in good time as well as given great recommendations. Overall, lovely time spent.
Amazing food. Really supportive staff for gluten free. Highly recommend
The service was a bit of a let down but everything else was great.
Sat at the bar seating for mine and my partner's anniversary and would recommend these seats to anyone, friendly bar staff who are more than happy for a quick chat and great to be able to have the option of seeing the drinks made straight in front of you.
The food was exceptional. There is nothing more than I can say, it was a dream!
Love this place.
Had a fabulous lunch at the cheese bar with some friends. Service was a little slow but we weren't in a rush. Food was great and we were all definitely stuffed and satisfied after!
The food was delicious and the wait staff were pleasant and accommodating. I had to call and ask them to push back our reservation because I was running late, and they did this without question. However, it did take a while to be served, despite the fact that when we went it wasn’t that busy.
Amazing food and great service. Well worth the money and by that I mean it’s very decently priced. Will definitely be going again!
Loved it! Had a great time looking at the menu as well as everyone else's dishes! The fondue was great, definitely a hit! Very big portion, probably enough for 3/4 people! Great lunch! I recommend booking as they are constantly busy!
Food was really disappointing. The chicken on the poutine was the lowest quality possible and with few bones. The Stilton Raclette had hardly any stilton on there, and for some reason the potatoes underneath the cheese were swimming in a sugary sauce - which makes no culinary sense and was practically inedible! I had to scrape the potatoes out and take the cheese off so that I could actually enjoy it. The 'grilled' cheese looked deep fried and my friend couldn't finish it because it was so greasy. The people sitting next to us were clearly upset because their booking had been lost and they weren't told when they got there what time they would need to vacate their table.
The cheese board had the most disgusting, stale crackers with it - but the cheese was nice.
It was just a massive let down in general. We were so excited and we'd been planning it for weeks. We came down especially from Norfolk literally just to come to this restuarant. It really felt like a waste of time and money.
The cost was £80 for three people, which included a few drinks too. So it wasn't as bad as it cold have been. But the quality of the food was so poor that I definitely wouldn't be back, and will be recommending that friends avoid.
Superb dishes featuring excellent British cheeses. This is my 3rd trip and I've enjoyed every dish. The cheese puffs are a must-try!
Food was of high quality, but the portion sizes were for children... the price did not help either, should have been at least 20% cheaper to meet the value. The waitress was also lazy, arranging the seating layout not for the customers comfort but for her ease to do her job... quite shocking.... Overall, was worth a one time visit, but definitely overhyped. Would not go again, unless there were some changes....
