The Choice - B.Y.O.B
Did not feel it have ambiance. Potato nests and carrot (?) nets too much. The food should be enjoyed on its own merit .
The fish soup is outstanding. The fusion cooking dpsns Europe and Asia. Interesting and large menu.
Great food and service. A neighborhood gen.
Amazing! Exquisite flavor and visual design in every bite -in every dish. We had about 6 dishes plus chefs Lava cake. I'm from North Italy near the Slovenia border- where this modern clean, deceptively simple, high-end food is deliciously familiar- however this chef is unique & his food even better!!
Excellent food and presentation. Atmosphere needs help.
Everything was Just perfect from outstanding service to the delicious food. I do not think my family ever experienced such a unforgettable cuisine. It’s a gem!
Appetizers and pasta were very good. The veal chop, inordinately high-priced, was not a choice cut: not tender, but tough. Desserts were nice. One wants to encourage this newcomer. The array of European choices was an attraction, certainly. There was nothing similar available in the area before. Let's hope they can adjust so as to be able to last.
The food is outstanding and we love BYOB. Unfortunately, the small space with all hard surfaces makes the noise level a real detractor from a nice evening.
Great food choices and good staff. We will return to try the other food choices
food was really good but outrageously expensive.
Service was excellent
After reading some reviews that were not always positive, we were very pleased with our meal. It is somewhat pricy so we expected a more diligent and even “classier” service as the service is quite casual for those prices. It took a while for the server to take our order but there was no wait after that. We will go back as the food was almost perfect and portions were just right.
Very pleasantly surprised! The menu was quite varied, part of the reason we went there, and the beef entrees were as good as the fish entrees. Service was excellent and wait staff was very attentive without rushing us through the meal. I have a family of foodies who are hard to please, and we were all impressed with both the food and the service. Hard to find these days, especially in the suburbs. We will be returning.
We selected The Choice for our 40th anniversary with our family because of previous dining experience. Once again the food was amazing and Josh was knowledgeable and right on about every ingredient and recommendations. This restaurant never disappoints us! The tuna tartare is off the chart and the octopus app unreal!! Right to to desserts you will not be disappointed!
So decadent! Foie gras for lunch! This is an amazing restaurant with a varied menu—-something for everyone! Spicy shrimp salad was brilliant ! Juicy shrimp on rocket in a very light dressing make this my go to restaurant !
My husband enjoyed the teriyaki chicken as a main dish. The sauce was the best! The sauce reduction made it burst with flavor.
As always, the staff was attentive and charming.
Kudos to this amazing restaurant !
Our 3rd trip and Chef did not dissapoint. All entres were excellent.Strip steak excellent. Service was very good and attentive but not overbearing.Menu is extensive so choices for all.
One of our favorites!!! We keep going back. The staff is amazing, attentive and kind. Food is delicious!!!
My go to favorite is the spicy shrimp over rocket — so flavorful with juicy shrimp! Love this restaurant! Service is impeccable but not intrusive !
My lunch mate enjoyed the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp lunch special. The fettuccine was slightly al dente with a very light sauce. The freshly grated cheese on top was like air. Exquisite.
Service was the high note. The food was very good( I had the duck breast) but servings were small and pricey considering you had to pay extra for sides.
Really appreciated that the tables were well spaced and noise level low.
Great food. Love a BYOB. Loud when crowded because of all the hard surfaces and no sound muffling. but At least there is no loud music, so you can mostly hear your dinner companions. Ukrainian chef, trained at NY Nobu and elsewhere, and servers. Very welcome addition to Bryn Mawr.
Excellent 100 percent
Good food, nice ambience.
Excellent food. Attractively presented. Photo worthy. Nice service. Great addition to the byob scene
Nice, quiet but not dull, place. Attentive staff who know their menu and get your selections correct. Food is a but pricey but beautifully prepared and presented.
Consistently amazing! Selection of food choices coupled with attentive service makes this my go to restaurant!
Dinner with a group of friends. Menu is interesting and varied, courses came promptly but we were not hurried. We enjoyed tuna tartare, salmon tartare, fois gras, red snapper, striped bass. Everything was excellent and BYOB keeps the price manageable for a high quality meal. We will return.
Excellent cuisine with a hands on owner chef. Not a fancy place but spotless and the attention to detail in preparation and delivery is outstanding. Food is fresh and the menu is supported by newly introduced specials. Become a favorite.
The quality of the food was excellent. All at the table felt that the dishes were creative, healthy and tasty. The service was undertaken with care and a smile. It was also quite easy to carry on a conversation which is rarely possible in a restaurant in the Philadelphia region.
One of my favorites on the Main Line.
What a great decision we made picking The Choice for dinner tonight. We were lucky and found a last minute opening for 2. (The only time slot left for the evening). We were greeted by Josh our server for the evening. He was very welcoming and made some great recommendations for us! We were thrilled with everything we ate! Scallops in shredded philo were delicious and a great presentation. My wife loved her halibut entree and I was equally thrilled with the duck confit. This was really a great meal combined with attentive and genuine service and hospitality. A great experience.
The food was okay. Our server was very inexperienced and that really took away from being able to enjoy our meal. Paid a good price and expected a little more professionalism. Probably would not return.
Delicious food with great visual presentation and very friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Girl get together
We've been there for lunch, and we've been there for dinner. Outstanding both times! Definitely worth a drive. Varied and imaginative menu with plenty of stand-bys for the less venturesome. Wonderful.
The food was VERY good. Service great and price was on par with what you would expect for high quality dining.
This is a real treasure right here on the Main Line. Thank you.
As good as the food is, you don’t want to eat here between November and March unless alterations are made to the front entrance way to prevent cold air from rushing into the restaurant. If you do, be prepared to keep your hat and coat on unless you are sitting at the very rear of the restaurant
When you do eat here, be on guard against being rushed through your meal by your server
The hostess was rigid in sitting us at a specific table asking if we would be finished by a specific time, when the restaurant was empty at 5:30.
One of the very best meals I have had in years. Extensive menu for a smaller Restsurant. There were six of us who each had different appetizers and entrees and they were all delicious.
This restaurant is a great addition to Bryn Mawr. The service is good and the food is really good. The chef really knows what he/she is doing. I had the Halibut, which was done perfectly. Also had the beet carpaccio plate which was light and delicious. We will definately be going to The Choice again.
We had heard mixed opinions on the Choice due to noise level, portion size and price, but other than the noise level, we found the entire evening PERFECT - from soup to nuts! The foie gras is as good as you'll find anywhere and the Kobe beef was great!
