Many people ask us to describe our restaurant. In a word…FRESH! Our mission is to bring something different to the table and stand in a class of our own. We are passionate about using the freshest, most wholesome ingredients available, sourcing our food from local farms and suppliers when seasonably available. Our menus change with each season and we continually offer unique specials. During the day, we offer a variety of the freshest, most flavorful sandwiches on our ciabatta bread baked fresh daily. Our salads and soups are made from scratch. When dinner is served, we upscale the restaurant and change the mood with white linens, table service, and a more refined menu featuring our famous Duck Confit, Rabbit Pot Pie and Pork Osso Bucco. Our goal is to provide our guests with a unique and memorable dining experience.

    Our first time there and we'll definitely be back. The food was fresh and prepared so delicious, and service was just perfect. We were there for dinner so there was a good wine selection. Don't know why we waited so long to try it, but glad we did.

    We thoroughly enjoyed this meal. Our waitress was amazingly attentive and gave fantastic recommendations. The food was interesting and delicious. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing.

    Everything was lovely except they did not have our reservation when we arrived and we had to wait for a table. The food was good. The service was good. And the atmosphere is very comfortable. If not for our unfortunate circumstance, we could have given our experience five stars.

    An excellent find! We came in from the Bay Area for a day of rafting with our teenaged kids. The food was fresh and creative, and the restaurant was homey and a pleasant place to be. The lamb shank and Mary’s chicken were both exceptional. One of the kids had the housemade sausage sandwich and he enjoyed it very much. We plan to stop here again.

    Great little restaurant with a creative menu. Our server Lori was excellent. As others have mentioned the upstairs window seating is ideal and you have a view of Main Street.

    Food was really terrific! Between us we had salads, soup, appetizer, rib eye steak, and the sea bass. The salads and soup were terrific. The cauliflower appetizer was good, though not warm or hot all the way through when it arrived, which diminished the overall quality. The sea bass was amazing (a huge portion) and there were good wines to pair with it. The rib eye was good (however, of the two orders one was was incorrectly cooked and had to be returned to the kitchen).

    From start to finish the meal was delicious. Excellent flavors and fresh ingredients. Beautiful interior. We loved the window seat over looking charming Main Street. We will definitely be back.

    It was our first time at The Farm Table and sure won't be the last. Made reservations through Open Table and took my wife and Sister-in-law there for Sunday Brunch on Mothers Day and were immediately met by the smiling friendly hostess and seated at the Bar, were we made our reservations. We started with some mimosas that were a perfect with about 80% prosecco and 20% fresh squeezed OJ. It was a 3 Course Prix Fixe menu that day and our party started with Fresh Fruit and Berries as well as a perfectly dressed Blue Cheese and Walnut salad. The second course the two ladies had the Morel and wild mushroom Crepes with crispy roasted Potatoes and grilled asparagus. They both really enjoyed the earthy and super fresh flavors. I opted for the Duck Hash with two poached eggs which were cooked perfectly and loved every bite. The Duck pieces were crispy and flavorful and a perfect match to the rich and earthy flavors of the eggs and potatoes. We ended our meal with several mini fruit, Chocolate and Cream tartlets. Really delicious fresh food, superb and friendly service and couldn't recommend higher.

    This time I did not enjoy the food as much as I usually do. The duck raviolo was ok but not as good as other times. The collar greens in the dish were very bitter. Also we had to wait for the food for a very long time. All and all it was not as good as other times.

    My wife and I were looking forward to a wonderful meal, one with over the top in flavor and goodness. However the meal was disappointing. The salad was OK and the apps were fine. The sausage filled empanada had a nice flakey crust and meat flavorful but the eggs were't really anything special. The biggest disappointment was the service. It was slow. Our server didn't check back with us to see how we were doing. Because we had to ask another server for help and feared it would be another long wait we decided to not order a main dish, paid our bill and left.

    Simple good food prepared so well. The restaurant itself is charming in it's old building. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful with meal selection. The eggs were so fresh in our benedicts, amazing. Would highly recommend The Farm Table. Showed my boss today pictures of our meals and he asked how far away is Placerville from San Francisco.

    Concept and food were what caught our eye. For the price, we expected better service. Server was training another person on staff and it was disheartening to know someone would be learning from her as she made a number of service errors. Upstairs dining area is cute but resulted in inefficient service. Pork confit appetizer was a standout dish, as were the pickles.

    We had a dinner reservation at 6 p.m. We were seated upstairs at a lovely window table. Very good wine list and the dinner was absolutely excellent. The mushroom toast appetizer was our favorite and the rib eye steaks were perfectly cooked. The Creme Brulee rounded out the meal and was superb! Excellent, attentive staff! We will definitely be back!

    Great meal. Turn around from the kitchen was a bit slow, but we were in no rush (only one waitress for the whole dining room on a Sunday night). Food was great. Mushroom toast was really tasty. I would have preferred some bread or something with some butter or balsamic vinegar & olive oil, something to bide the time between ordering and courses.

    We discovered Farm table on the internet and decided to give it a try on Saturday. My comments are designed to help the owners "see" improvements that need to be made when considering the ticket cost of our meal. Atmosphere- The interiors don't look or feel like the web-site. We were seated upstairs near what the waiter said was their premium table. This was a high-top table next to a large window. The window was really really dirty and stained. They don't appear to have been washed in years or at least regularly. Really felt like we were looking through a frosted glass window (to drive home the point of dirtiness and obscurity). I'm over 6' tall and the table was practically to my neck. The table was way too high and felt awkward. The waitress was nice and pleasant but had to read from her own notes the night's specials. She had a nose ring which was the wrong feel for this type of high-end restaurant. My wife and I both found it oddly bothersome. The next issue was food. I ordered Airline Mary's Chicken and my wife the Sea Bass with a bottle of local wine. We enjoyed the roasted cauliflower. However, the chicken and sea bass were OK. Not great and bad. We then ordered what we thought would be a melded brownie and ice cream with strawberries- What came was a triangle of a plain warmish nothing special basic brownie and ONE almost ripe strawberry and a scoop of ice cream. We expected something special and it tasted like an supermarket brownie- nothing like the way the menu described the character of a Farm table made from scratch dessert. Overall the place was so/so but when the cost of the meal is added up the value was not in alignment with the cost. The web-site and food and atmosphere do not align and we felt over-charged and mislead instead of feeling the that the overall food and experience exceeded our expectations. Same meal in Sacramento's mid-town restaurants for same price would have been a far better result. Cost/benefit is not there.

    My wife and I went to visit Sutter’s Mill and had dinner here after. The food was great and the view of the street from the upstairs tables was really cool. I had the ribeye and my wife had the raviolo. I also had the pork soup and creme brûlée. Everything was really good! Walk around Placerville after if you haven’t been before, lots of cool stores. Although a lot of them close around 6, so do so before dinner if possible.

    Friday night 5:15 reservations: not busy The deviled eggs (4) ways was Excellent The creamy mushroom toast WAS EXCELLENT. The wines were good but white wine served in stemless glass, no no. Holding glass warms up the wine. My green pea salad with buttard was ok... not the best, a little too soggy. My husbands ribeye steak was excellent. He also enjoyed the beer. Waitress was good! Waiter/server forgot to serve my hubbies beer and mid meal we had to remind them. Overall, I will come back as i really like the flavors. I like the fresh soups and my husband likes the menu which changes by seasons (each quarter). TIP: Add the source of the organic farms/ suppliers of the menu. In Ireland the restaurants adds this to their menu so the patrons knows who/what/where/how the food was grown, raised, provided. Very important info!!! We wNt to know

    The Farm Table was an excellent choice for our dinner with four friends. We sat right in the front window and enjoyed an excellent meal. Yum on the lamb shanks! The owner came over after dinner to talk with us and see how we enjoyed the meal. It was interesting to hear his philosophy on his restaurant and food preparation. Now let's have everyone look for a deal on a liquor license for the establishment! (wine and beer are already served.)
