We went to Farmers Indian with a party of 15 to celebrate my son's graduation from UNC. The experience was simply outstanding. The restaurant went completely above and beyond by decorating our section of the restaurant with graduation balloons and other decorations. They also served our party a special cake. The food was great, we were very impressed. We will definitely be coming again when we visit North Carolina!

The restaurant was empty for lunch at 1:30pm as we were the only customers. After waiting for 7 minutes at the table, the waitress took our drink orders. We ordered South Indian food (dosas) and fresh OJ. When the juice arrived, it was sour. When I informed the waitress, the owner came out to say that this was fresh squeezed juice and should taste this way. I replied “Absolutely not!”, you should take this back and not be rude when I am letting you know that the taste is sour, as in the fruit may be bad - not that it was bitter and needed sugar. The owner was condescending by proceeding to talk with my husband rather than hearing my concern. There was no yelling but he asked us to leave because the food may not be to our liking. My husband explained that the cuisine was more North Indian and given the absence of patrons, that this was probably the owner’s way of saving face. We obliged but it was such a horrible interaction so we left for Morrisville for another restaurant which was overflowing with Indian patrons. I wanted to try to support a local restaurant in Raleigh, but this was not worth the headache.

I love this restaurant. I went there for the first time on New Years and couldn't wait to get back. The chef is innovative and responsive. Everyone is friendly. There are food choices non matter what your requirements. While I eat at Indian restaurants frequently, Farmer's Indian has different tastes, different preparations than any other place I have been. Thank you for creating a great experience for my family. We will be back.

Food was delicious, we did not feel rushed and the owner came out to speak to us at the end of our meal! The flavors of everything we had were perfect, meat was tender and the Valentine’s cupcake was a nice surprise to end our meal. Add this to our new favorites list!

I can’t imagine a better experience. I eat a lot of Indian food and the creativity the use of natural ingredients friendliness. The unusual offerings made it truly spectacular. We will be back soon to explore more of what this hidden treasure offers.

Superb, my wife is from Bangalore and we went here for a birthday. Gracious welcoming people who can serve some food. Be ready to eat when you come here! We took most of the biryani home. Loved the gulab jamun. Professional, clean, hospitable, friendly people. Once we digest all this food, we are eager to come back.
