Whether you’re staying with us on holiday or local to Docklow, the Fishermans Arms welcomes you to join us 7 days a week during summer for fantastic homemade food at great value.

Our summer opening is every morning and every evening, with a Sunday lunch carvery which has a wonderful reputation across the county.

All our meats are from a local butcher. Food is homemade including delicious dishes, pies, chips, pudding and desserts.

It means that we are more than just a fishery. People who come on holiday love the fact that they can eat well, in friendly traditional surroundings, at great value prices without actually leaving the Docklow estate.

                                                                        Went for Sunday lunch to the Fishermans Arms with family and we weren’t disappointed. We were seated straight away and drinks order taken. The cavery was amazing, 4 choices of meats and lots of vegetables to chose from along with all other items you would expect with your Sunday dinner. Debbie’s selection of desserts were amazing, absolutely delicious. The staff very really friendly and it was great value for money. Would definitely recommend this as a great place to eat

                                                                        The staff were very attentive whilst being really busy, the food was outstanding even with my food intolerance. They accommodated perfectly.

                                                                        We booked our table for 7.30pm, upon arrival we were informed that the kitchen was running a bit behind as there’re many customers so it will be about an hour wait for the food. An hour passed, the waitress updated us that it will be another 30 - 45 mins or so. We finally got our food served at 9pm, however the steak was way over cooked as we asked for medium rare, the steak salad also over cooked to the point that it was too chewy to eat (even though it mentioned in the menu that it serves medium). Overall it was a real disappointment from the start to the end.

                                                                        Our first visit to The Fishermans Arms. There was only one person front house dealing with customers who was overwhelmed. When we eventually got her attention on arrival we were told to 'get a drink and your table is the big one down there'. It was only by speaking to other customers that we found out where the carvery was being served. Never again.

                                                                        First visit here last year was excellent in the main bar food beautiful. We did visit late afternoon evening. This visit disappointing we were in the oak room very noisy large parties and wasnt told it was only carvery when booking . It is a lovely pub with a wealth of character staff were very good and helpful and doing there best .
