About this restaurant

Inspired by the diners of the northeast, whose menu had a little bit of everything and was heavily influenced by Greek cuisine—because, let’s face it, the majority were owned by Greek immigrants—the menu’s attractiveness was the diversity in its offerings. From Italian specialties to delicatessen classics, there were no rules or borders regarding types of cuisine, just a variety of options that have left many transplants and generations longing for just a glimpse of what once was.

An eclectic revolving menu of home-style specials, comfort food, fun spins on classics with beer and future spirit pairings, and an extensive wine list make The Food Republic a foodie’s paradise where comfort and a feeling of belonging are our mission.

Exceptional restaurant! Celebrated an 80th birthday. Burata salad was delicious and huge. 2 had beef stir fry, one had octopus and the birthday girl had chicken and waffles. All delicious and huge portions. The chef brought the birthday girl chocolate chip cookie dough bread pudding with ice cream and a candle! Spectacular dinner and evening. 5 stars all the way. The staff is extremely friendly. Go!!!! Reservations required.

We started with the pork belly appetizer and it was delicious! The rest of the meal was great too, especially the Mac n cheese!

We’ve been to Food Republic before. We’ve taken friends 3 times. Each time, everything the group orders is outstanding. Their menu has so many good options. You’ll easily find something delicious. The service is always spot on. The staff knows all the items on the menu and gives great suggestions. One of our favorites!

Impossible to classify the type of food served here which is a good thing. Unusual, delicious and huge portions of food, prepared and served by incredibly nice people.

Would have been all 5’s but the fried chicken was most and flavorful but was dark, almost burnt. Will try again and ask to cook to golden.

I’ve been to The Food Republic several times and love it every time we go. The staff is super friendly, food is delicious, chill vibe, and I love that they don’t rush you! A South Florida favorite!

It was our first time trying The Food Republic. We really enjoyed our time there. We had a group of 6. So we sat on their new back patio. It was so lovely with string lights and music playing. It was a very inviting space. The menu offers something for everyone and there were plenty of things I would have loved to try. We ordered the empanadas for the table which were delicious. The lobster bisque was not your typical cream based soup but had actual pieces of lobster! The Cajun pasta was so flavorful. Each dish had its own unique flavor. It wasn’t like they made the same thing with a few tweaks here and there. Alonso, the owner, came out to check on us and was genuinely interested in our feedback. Mike, our waiter was knowledgeable and had great suggestions. We will definitely go back. I have to try some of the other things on the menu.
