We have eaten here many times. This is one of the best little gems in Old Town Spring. Great food, great service and BYOB....

We are thrilled to find a great local restaurant that prepares food from scratch. The chef is very talented, food is beautifully prepared and creative while remaining true to traditional Italian. The place is still young and a bit unprepared for proper service; hopefully the staff will be trained soon. Just be patient because the food is worth the hang ups in service. And BYOB until they get their liquor license - which we hope takes a long time!

My husband and I celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary at The Italian Joint on March 6th. My husband made reservations thinking they would be busy but to our surprise we were the only table that evening. We were greeted promptly by Lauren was very attentive to us all evening. Lauren gave us many recommendations all of which we chose for dinner and dessert. We were very happy with our visit and will return again very soon. It is great to have such a wonderful restaurant so close to home.

Pizza was good but served with paper plates. Considering that they are trying to present themselves as upscale restaurant, I would call that a no-no. The service was atrocious. We were forgotten often on Valentine's Day and when the waiter came to fill our glasses with water, his attention was elsewhere and ended up spilling a lot on the table — without noticing and then walked away. The table bread was burned and the table next to us was served bread that was burned BLACK. Not sure why the couple actually started eating it. (???) My wife got spaghetti and meatballs, which was mostly meatballs and a little bit of spaghetti. I think she was hoping it would be the other way around. But she did say the sauce was okay. Don't order the lemonade — it is heinous. Unless you like heavy honey drinks like mead. My daughter spit it out and said it was "gross". Uneventful.

My husband and I have been here several times. We love it! The only negative is that they've gotten so popular that they're having a difficult time keeping up. Our waitress was friendly and as attentive as she could be but they all seem harried and overwhelmed. We went on Feb. 13th, which would explain much of it, but this is actually pretty indicative of how it is usually. But, on to the food! It's excellent! My husband loves their chicken parmesan and they gladly switch the side to fettuccine alfredo. I have gotten many of the chicken dishes and they're all wonderful. We highly recommend it! They still don't have their liquor license so bring your own wine!

We will be going back for sure. Food was really good!!! BUT They need to put the soda fridge in the back , dim the lights, put some candles on the table and some black & white pics of something Italian!

If it weren't for the very good food, we would not even consider returning to this restaurant. The owner took zero ownership for horrid service. In fact, she made a point of making zero contact with any customers and at exactly 9pm, went outside to smoke with either friends, family or customers?? One waitress took the time hours into it to explain this was in fact their worst service night since opening and it was due to short staff plus the obvious lack of manager(s) involvement. It was like chickens running around with their heads cut off.

Very disappointing. Watched 10 people get turned away as we waited 15 min to get bill. Appetizer of fried cheese sticks and mushrooms excellent. The 3 entrees we had were in remarkable with noodles that were way undercooked. Service was somewhere between not good and bad. Not my favorite in Old Town Spring

For those of you who don't know this restaurant is also owned by the owners of black sheep bistro also in old town spring. The food at the Italian joint is great and the pricing is pretty good also. You can bring in your own bottle of wine as they are still working on getting their liquor license. The service was great and the bread and butter awesome. I'd recommend the stuffed mushroom appetizer and I don't think you'll go wrong with anything in the menu.

I was disappointed with the dinner menu, I've been here for lunch a few times with girlfriends, I was looking forward to taking my husband, he's never been, I looked at the menu and only saw chicken dishes. He was looking forward to a veal dish, as I wanted the a shrimp dish, we were not happy.He ended up having Chicken Marsala which was fair, and I has 2 appetizers....I will definitely go back for lunch, but they lost me going back for dinner...
