Great food exceptional service
Its a good restaurant, nothing outstanding with slightly forced service and food that is strongly overpriced IMHO. Nothing bad about it in itself, but not worth the money.
Always an outstanding meal! Fig Caesar and Parker rolls to start. He had Branzino, I had salmon. Both cooked perfectly with great accompaniments. Attentive service, great location and vibe. Oh, and you can hear your friends and have a conversation! A perfect 10!
Absolutely amazing experience overall, the staff was remarkable and very knowledgeable of their menu .
the atmosphere was great. the food was amazing, my wife had the love bird and I had the Bohemian fish (order extra rolls you 'll want to get every drop of the sauce). My wife and I all ready planning our next visit.
Food and service was good, chairs for non-booth seating are uncomfortable.
At a recent biz lunch, we had carrot soup, arugula, apple & cheddar salad and the house turkey melt. Everything was delicious -- including the fresh brewed iced tea. The Love is always hopping and the food is consistently high quality in terms of taste and presentation. It's my go-to place!
Food was very good
Overall the experience was terrific. Some of the food came out less than hot, Which it should’ve been. But the flavors and textures were excellent. The noise level is high, making conversation difficult. The service was fairly attentive.
It was a perfect setting with varied meal selections to celebrate a family birthday. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and gracious which is most important. That welcome, unhurried introduction, together with the food presentation, special cocktails, and delicious meal, make it definitely worth coming back again. Intimate seating areas and bustling, but not overwhelming, ambient noise were also appreciated.
Everything was wonderful from the moment I sat down. Our server Julian was excellent as was the Fig Martini, Parker Rolls and Lobster Spaghetti.
This place was great all around. Food was excellent, service was top notch. I will definitely be back!
Chef Charles Parker and Aimee Olexy have done it again! Philly's foodie scene is lucky to have them.
The food and the service were terrific. The duck salad was excellent. However, the best thing about our dinner was the dessert. The madeleines are from heaven.
Amazing restaurant. GREAT menu. Outstanding service. Deserves to be on the top 50 restaurants in Phila!
Great birthday celebration !
We last dined a year ago for my birthday and went back again Saturday night. This was a fabulous dining experience again. The food was wonderful, from the crudite platter and rolls to the ribs and fried chicken. Drinks were excellent as well. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The manger mentioned there was a discount for parking and when she could not find the coupon for that, comped us a round of drinks. That was a very classy thing to do. I much appreciated that neither the servers nor managers had any attitude and were unpretentious, unlike some other Philly dining spots. The decor is really lovely as well. This is definitely a top restaurant for Philly and I highly recommend.
Good lunch place for lunch on a Saturday. Crowded and a little noisy, but not too much. Food was very good. Menu mostly comfort food, but presented nicely. Portions were generous. Would definitely return.
Came here for a friend’s birthday brunch. Good selection on the brunch menu and drinks were great. It was the first time for all three of us and we plan on coming for dinner soon.
Wonderfully creative range of American favorites elevated with flavor twists that create interest. Very rustic but sophisticated decor that delivers a warm dining experience. The second floor has booths that offer a nice view of the surrounding buildings on 18th.
All of the elements that make an excellent customer dining experience are working in harmony at the The Love... well trained staff, dining environment, engagement, and of course, Outstanding Food and Beverages!
We were seated at a very cozy and comfortable table, were able to enjoy our meal in a leisurely fashion, and thoroughly enjoyed the food; I would highly recommend The Love.
The service was amazing! The male manager greeted us and gave us a great rundown of the wine and cocktail menu, along with selections to try. Our waiter was very informative and professional. He was knowledgeable of the menu. He followed the steps of service well. I was also a previous hotel and restaurant foh manager myself, so I approve. We had the lovebird & lobster spaghetti. Both dishes were good. We felt the portion sizes were a tad bit small for the price. The ambience was spectacular. (Warm & toasty, great for a date night, wine with the gals or coworkers after work) I will be back to bring my family or my guy. Thanks guys!
All in all the food was good, Lovebird and Maple Salmon but not out of this world like we had hopped. The wine was fair and not worth the $72 price (Crozes-Hermitage Les Valets 2017).
Spectacular! I'm completely in love with The Love. All the flavors were amazing, delightfully relaxed pace, wonderful service. I can't wait to go back! I also really appreciated the sound dampening on the ceiling - it made for very comfortable ambient levels.
Beautiful space. Excellent service and nice touch with the raspberry squares and candle for my friend’s birthday. Cheese plate was delicious but the steak was average. The sauce was bland and didn’t add any distinctive flavor.
New favorite restaurant in Philly. Great for lunch or dinner. Loved everything.
Love The Love!
Great service. Great menu options. Will return.
We were completely underwhelmed by brunch at The Love. The restaurant has an adorable look and feel, and we enjoyed the cocktails immensely, but the food was just okay. If I'm going to spend $100 on brunch for two people, I really want to enjoy every bite. The Cookie Butter Crumb Cake was the highlight of our meal. The mushroom omelette was such a bizarre texture and consistency, and the cheese did not pair well with the mushrooms. The burger was not particularly memorable. Hopefully dinner is a better experience.
Brunch at the LOVE was hands down the best brunch I have ever had.
Excellent service, welcoming staff, fresh creative food. Will definitely return
We felt the love!! The Love is perfectly named! From the first sip of our specialty cocktails ($14 and worth every cent) at the intimate upstairs bar to the last sip of tea from black, iron pots at our table for four...we were truly all delighted. We were never rushed...or left wanting. Our needs were anticipated and met timely. Our questions were answered with warm and knowledgeable insight. No one ever hovered or interrupted the flowing table conversation. The unique flavor baked in the breadsticks at our table first got our attention. (I don't want to give away the pleasant surprise.) We enjoyed sharing the savory, mushroom toasts and rich lobster spaghetti (with sweet lobster claw) before feasting on Valencia scallops and whole smoked and roasted Branzino. We added lighthearted whipped, sweet potatoes and a generous portion of fried brussel sprout to our fare. We struggled a bit with the charred shell of a snap pea or two...but that is a minor detail. We saw a cheese board go by our table that looked mouthwatering and an array of fresh vegetables that looked like a centerpiece. The wines selected were delicious and wonderfully paired with our food choices. We finished with yummy olive oil cake with a dollop of fig ice cream and complimentary raspberry squares with our teas. We loved every bite, sip and moment. We are ready to plan another visit to feel The Love again! Thank you to a talented and caring staff for making our visit one to remember.
Wonderful meal and experience. Looking forward to returning.
I love The Love. It is my favorite restaurant in the city right now. The cheese board is fantastic for sharing. The pasta and steak were delicious. The inventive menu is a nice change from some of the standard fare you get at many restaurants. We will be back. Highly recommend.
Went for our 8 year anniversary and the food and service were great and brought us a lovely dessert on the house
Great service, friendly & unpretentious! Date night with our teenage son along..... We started with the special Onion Ring appetizer, our teenage son exclaimed “that’s the best onion ring I’ve ever had!” The citrus salad along with the rings of perfection was outstanding! The fellas had the fried chicken and were quite happy. I was not too hungry, so I ordered my sons other favorite “fall off the bone ribs”. He ate them for lunch the next day. I saved room for the popcorn ice cream which was delicious, plain old fun and something different then the same old desserts. We love the Philly Dining scene & this Gem is Delicious all around!
Loved The Love. Beautiful space. Cozy but noisy. We were in a comfy corner booth and were able to converse without a problem, and it was a full house. Service excellent. Food was so good; crispy duck salad, butternut squash soup, scallop entree for me, and the signature "Love Bird" dish for my husband, as well as dessert. The graham madeleine was SO yummy...a deconstructed s'more. Definitely recommend. Will return!
