Everything was great. Thanks so much for the special attention to the birthday celebration. Will be dining with you again.
every dish was delicious - cocktails were great too.
I hosted 6 others for a business dinner with a 5:30 reservation. At the start of the evening, the restaurant was pretty quiet. The atmosphere got louder and more crowded as the evening progressed. The food was creative and delicious yet our drink service was very slow. People at my table would have liked to order another drink yet we waited for long periods of time in between seeing our server - which impacted our experience. Once we were done eating, we got our bill then decided to go elsewhere. We would have stayed longer had it been otherwise. We got our appetizers and food quickly. The follow-up service was just lacking.
The service was AMAZING
The food AMAZING!!!
Sidney (Our waitress), if you're reading this, you were absolutely amazing, patient and just so fantastic with the service provided.
The best experience ever had. So glad I just this restaurant for a bridal brunch
Have been to The Madison multiple times since they’ve opened for dinner and brunch. I love how they put a unique twist on everyday classics—just delish!!
The food was excellent, service was great. The live band was fun! Very enjoyable evening.
Fun place to eat and/or drink before an event at the United Center within walking distance (9 blocks). Handcrafted cocktails, interesting menu - great service and food. We enjoyed our dinner and will be back.
Love the vibe and decor! Service was incredible. They even made me a special drink without me asking and I loved it! Great food, amazing staff and service!
Great venue but for some reason fails to live up to its potential, menu, food, drinks are good but not spectacular. It is a good but not memorable experience, didn’t hate but not dying to go back again.
The $5 glasses of rosé were good and service was fine but we had a hair in one of our dishes (crab cakes) and instead of smcomping it or offering something free, the manager just apologized and brought another one. Poor management and service.
Madison Bar is one of my favorite spots in the city. Their menu has such a variety of simple and complex meals. Everything looks and tastes amazing. Their Tuesday special of half off sushi and bottles of wine is a must! I was a little hesitant on trying their sushi at first until I heard they are owned under the same team as Union sushi. This is a great spot for date night, drinks with friends, or group occasion. They offer a free shuttle to the United Center for games and big events as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
Pretentious. Trying to be hip and cool, but really just another tavern.
I had a really lovely brunch with my friends! We got their early on Sunday for brunch, so it wasn't too crowded yet. (I was also able to get a reservation a couple days ahead of time, which was nice). Delicious food! I highly recommend the bloody mary, as well! I would definitely return. :)
Food was good (not exceptional); no complaints from anyone in our party.
tempura brussels sprouts
steak frites (whipped bearnaise and garlic aioli were excellent)
cocktails were very good. The wine list is limited, but our bottle was great. Our server, Remy or Remi, was fantastic, and the bussers were on top of it as well.
Service was awesome. Love the space! Very visually stimulating! Food is a unique twist on your normal day to day foods- had the tiramisu french toast and sausage sandwich! Can't wait to go back and try something else!
My boyfriend and I love to try new places when we go out on dates. We just randomly choose The Madison Bar & Kitchen because we fell in love with the food menu. The bar is beautiful. Very modern, open concept and real chill. Service was phenomenal. The duck fat fries were a HIT! We loved them. The crab cakes, Alaskan crab roll and the red wine braised short ribs were also delicious. Drinks were great as well (get the Sparkling Sidecar!). This place was such a gem.
The maki rolls were among the best I've ever had!
We went before a concert at the United Center and it was half price sushi happy hour! Great bar, great service!
I thought it was a very nice upscale pub like option. Not really a destination restaurant for the food itself, but a great place to meet up with friends. Very nice cocktail menu and my halibut was excellent.
Went for dinner on a Saturday night. We started out with sushi and the tuna tartare which was fantastic. Two of us had the Amish chicken and we cleaned our plates. The salmon was also a big hit as well as the southwest salad. We had some dietary restrictions and the chef was very accommodating.Very casual vibe. We also enjoyed the cookie and ice cream dessert!
I felt rushed by the staff to get out of there so they could seat another table.
Great service with a variety of drinks. Somewhat limited menu but the food is good and much better than typical bar food. The place has some energy which is good unless you looking for a quiet place for conversation
I enjoyed the spinch and feta omelette. However, our group did not like the cinnamon roll/french toast appetizer. The flavor and texture were off.
Our server Jessica was outstanding. Food was very good.
Amazing cocktails and food
Food was absolutely fantastic. Every dish we ordered was presented beautifully and tasted even better. The Mignonette accompanying the oysters was spot on. The preparation of the hamachi appetizer, served inside the oyster shell, allowed the subtleties of this delightful fish to shine through.
I consider myself a cocktail connoisseur and was floored at the impeccable old fashions, each version having more depth than the last. I highly recommend their signature old fashioned. Many establishments have introduced some variations of a burrata appetizer to their menu in the past two years, each usually being a slight variation of the other. The burrata here is well balanced, without the cliche honey and balsamic.
This was our second time dining at this restaurant and we will gladly return when we come back to Chicago.
We dined here multiple times as a pre-concert dinner spot for a nearby local venue. Food is excellent and service is always great. Planning to take friends there soon. Great local spot in a trendy location.
We went their for brunch and it was awesome. The corned beef hash was made with house made corned beef, the wagu beef burger was so tasty and the crab cake was outstanding. House smoked salmon is off the hook. Highly recommend this place! Bottomless mimosa bar for $20 is quite the bargain -- we definitely got our monies worth!
This was our second visit to the Madison Bar & Kitchen for brunch. The food is good, fresh, and inventive (their "classic" eggs benedict includes grilled asparagus - yummy! and the poached eggs were perfect.) The service was okay once it got going, but it took a while to get anything but water and smiles from passing waitstaff who weren't assigned to our table. After our server did show up, the meal progressed quite nicely. We'll go again because the food is very good, but not if we're in any kind of hurry.
Fantastic experience, great food, fun place !!
Had a wonderful time at Madison will go back!
As West Loop residents this is our favorite go to place! The service is always GREAT! The menu has a beautiful selection of AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS FOOD! The restaurant is beautiful and the patio now open. Awesome Happy Hour and Live Music on Thursdays! If you live here or are visiting.. this is a must eat at restaurant!! Cheers🍻✨
Interesting menu, lively atmosphere, unique HH cocktails, plus Anna, our server, made for a fun evening.
Delicious food, the servers and all of the staff were really wonderful and fun! The band was good just VERY LOUD! I think a notch quieter would still have been fun but less shouting to each other!
Ambiance was great; the staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was very good, just what we were looking for. We'd return.
The short rib was amazing. I couldn’t believe how tender it was!!!!!
Took me a while to finally check this place out and extremely exited that this place opened in the neighborhood. Great lively atmosphere and cutest bar. Wait staff was super friendly. Everything we had was delish! We started off with the Burrata appetizer. We then ordered for our main entrees the short rib and the Halibut. The Halibut was out of this world!!! Highly recommend. Can’t wait to come back!
Love this place. Great menu as well as service. This will become one of my go to places.
Really good food and open mimosa bar. I like how you can create your own mimosa with different juices and fruits. Great atmosphere!
Did a ladies (mummies) birthday brunch recently and loved it. Their self-serve Mimosa Bar was fun. Food was really good and we had a lovely time! Will be back.
Anniversary here and they made it so nice. Great staff and great time as always. Thank you!
Our favorite West Loop spot!! Great service! Awesome drinks and amazing food! Always!
