The Natural Kitchen Trinity Square
Had breakfast here twice and lunch once over the course of three days, primarily out of convenience to my hotel and work. The food was fine but the wait staff was a bit lost. They forgot parts of our orders and on more than one occasion tried to deliver another table’s food to our table. Some basic training or a better process for sending food out from the kitchen is in order I think.
Overall very good experience. Good food and excellent service.
Excellent food, and great vibe in this place, one of my favourites for a healthy meal in the City. Pity for the incredibly slow service on the day, at a non particularly busy time.
The big open salad bar has gone, so there are more tables but the big space gets very noisy as a result. An interesting salad heavy menu which is fine but the staff struggle to cope with all the tables clients etc. So no major issues and it could be very good with just a few tweaks!
A good menu catering for all tastes with excellent attentive staff. A very enjoyable and relaxed experience
A good amount of choice on the menu and I like that there are healthy options. I thought the wine was quite expensive, with glasses starting from about £7 upwards, and my meal (chicken burger) was nice but not memorable. The sweet potato fries were not very crispy. It was very quiet in there compared to at lunchtime.
I always choose this place for my local
Clients, great food, service and atmosphere.
I like the menu and the food is always good. The tables are just too close together.
First time as per recommendations
Highly recommended. The food is fabulous, lovely place for lunch. I will defiantly be back
Took over 10 minutes to queue up to get our seat even though we had a booking. Not good with guests about.
Noise level is extremely high and difficult to hear across the table
We were unfortunately very disappointed with the service on our recent lunch visit. I love this restaurant, often eat at the Angel Court location. However sadly the service was very poor on this occasion. There was a line to wait to be seated, and no staff were moving with any haste. It was an extremely slow one by one process. Once seated, it was an extremely long time before we received service of any kind, and once we finally ordered, there was an extremely long wait for our meal. At a location where most diners are returning to an office and have limited and tight timing for lunch, I think this service needs to be improved.
On a positive note, the food was delicious.
Did not leave a good impression...
I booked a reservation here having never come before. I was underwhelmed, not so much by the food as by the service. Once seated I advised the server that I was coeliac. I ordered a lamb burger on a gluten free bun. She advised that I could not eat the chips, so they would offer me a salad instead. It was all fine up to this point. However, when we received the bill afterwards, I was charged extra for my salad. I had not realised that a side to my burger would cost extra. This seemed especially strange since I never initially asked for a side, I only ordered the burger and she automatically told me I could not have the chips, but would have a salad instead. This really annoys me, although it was just a side, I felt tricked. Also it was 3.99 and it was taken away before I could even finish it!
I would have disputed the bill, but its really awkward to do so, especially when dining with another person you don't know very well. As I said, I am really unimpressed and will not be returning.
Lovely good, helpful staff. Great kids menu, we will be visiting now again.
Lovely restaurant with attentive staff. Food and drinks arrived quickly. I couldn’t give 5 stars as unfortunately our duck salads were dry, both the duck and the salad, we had to ask for extra dressing. Tip added on bill by restaurant.
very good meal, with speedy, efficient and friendly service
Monday night. Great offers on steak. Made value for money on the meal.
Cocktails and happy hour good value too.
Great to book a table outside which was a great option on the app
I think the food is expensive. I ordered extra falafel with my halloumi salad and only got 1 (at a cost of £1). The sweet potato fries were undercooked and quite hard. There were 3 of us and only 2 of us had a soft drink. We all had 1 course and a up of tea after. When the bill come it had a £9 service charge on it. We asked for it to be removed so we could leave a cash tip of our choosing. They said they do not accept cash tips (we did not that they are becoming cashless but this lunch was prior to that). We therefore had it removed from the bill and left no tip. It cost £25 each just for 1 course, 2 soft drinks and 3 teas.
Lunch al fresco
I have eaten at a number of Natural Kitchens and like them for the range of healthy eating options - particularly as they normally have a number of vegan options.
I also like the outside space at Trinity Square on a reasonably good day.
Sadly, the "special" vegan risotto I had this time was totally tasteless - and the mushroom bolognaise I had on my previous visit was not much better - lots of black pepper required n both occasions to get any sort of taste at all.
This is a shame as this was not the case at the Waterloo Station location.
So, overall, yes I would recommend but please Trinity Square chefs - do something to make vegan options tasty!
Service was really unimpressive- waitress didn’t smile or engage the whole time, had no idea what drink she was giving us. Took food to the wrong table. Too many alternatives in Tower Hill to keep going here when arrive just gets worse.
An excellent meal. Good food, attentive staff and reasonable pricing make this restaurant a definite recomendation.
The staff were fantastic. I had to refund the bill and repay with a different card and they were very obliging to engage with.
Lovely setting, good menu choice and friendly service.
Would have been nice to know which coffee was which as they were delivered to the table with no "labelling" and 3 of the 4 of us are sure we got the wrong one!
The noise level is very high so difficult to have a conversation. Otherwise very good.
Good food, lots of choice, including for veggies. Nice tables, easy to chat as it’s not too noisy.
Lovely ambience, nice service and food was excellent for all members of our group. Will definitely return!
I ate a plate of Nachos and a burger; while the burger was ok (not outstanding), the nachos starter was, honestly, miserable, and had nothing to do with nachos at all ... not recommended.
The service was mediocre, and the tip was "accidentally" already included on the check.
Uninspiring ambience, uniteresting menu.
Salad was limp and not fresh. Wine was expensive. Couldnt get any olives...really in a "natural" restaurant in the centre of London?! Incredible.
Lovely smiley friendly Italuan waitress though.
First timers at the natural kitchen. We were very impressed. The only thing that bothered us was the lady making grunting noises next to us.
I am continually surprised with the quality of food at many places in London. You would have thought that with all the competition every experience would be great, but it is not the case. £3.25 for a pot if fresh lemon and ginger tea. No fresh ginger though. When I queried this I was told, it's only the lemon that is fresh. She added some more Ginger for me, cannot rememer in what form it was, but not cheap as you day, but also not great quality. I had eggs royal. Unfortunately the lemon squeezer was served with one side full of hollandaise sauce, so a little more attention to detailed required. The pot of breakfast tea was virtually tasteless.
Provenance and quality you state. In my opinion the quality needs to be reviewed by a few experienced tea drinkers. Nice environment and people OK, but I think you need a few mystery shoppers to check out if our experience was a one off. I hope it was. I do not mind paying for quality, but it has to be the whole package, ambiance, people and the food.
Nice quiet restaurant, friendly service and good food.
Nice for casual dining. A good menu but I felt that compared to prior visits the food was not as good, perhaps I was unlucky but I will return.
Third time eating here - 3 years apart. Wonderful food, service and setting.
Useless waitress who did not understand that we had ordered eggs benedict twice and an avocado toast to share. After an extremely long wait received 1 egg benedict and 1 avocado toast. Explained that we had ordered two eggs benedict and the toast to share. We offered to start eating and wait for another egg dish. I bit into the eggs and found them to be cold. Brought them back and asked for replacement. They apologized and we received 2 hot plates of eggs benedict. Also, our tea order was taken so to get us some drinks while waiting for the food, but literally 15 min later we were still waiting for our tea. The place was practically empty, there were approx. 5 other tables occupied and they had 2 waitresses to cover this. Superslow service! While having our breakfast at some point the waitress managed to remove our milk and sugar tray. I again had to beckon her to say we needed more milk and sugar and again waited and waited. The food was faultless and delicious, but the staff need to up their game. I hate to think what the place is like when it is actually full up. Would recommend for the good food, but be prepared to wait for service....
Allergy well catered for. Served quickly and all knew information on offers.
I booked a table for my director and a client for lunch. Upon their arrival, the booking couldn't be found and they were left standing and waiting while staff looked for the booking. My director had to ask them to give them a table, then they were seated.
Director wasn't very unhappy as it was a business lunch and looked very unprofessional.
Thankfully, I kept all my email bookings as proof.
I lodged a complaint and they replied with apologies and a system problem, But this doesn't erase the issue and chaos caused from our side.
Good for a practical business lunch in the city, with health dishes and organic wine.
I recommend you go early and don’t book for a large group. Because the noise often gets to a very distruptive level.
The Natural Kitchen Trinity Square Team were amazing when I recently proposed to my girlfriend at their restaurant. We had our first date there hence the reason for also proposing there. The team really couldn’t do more for us and helped make a special life event, that extra bit more special. I would throughly recommend this bar and restaurant.
The Natural Kitchen in Trinity Square was a great booking for a relaxed evening meal with friends. The large menu choice was suitable for meat eaters and vegetarians at the table. Drinks/cocktail choices were very good. Only downside was the cocktails took a very long time but worth the wait. The food looked and tasted extremely healthy and serving sizes were spot on! I'lI absolutely recommend this restaurant and look forward to booking again.
