I had the pleasure of hosting a dinner for 8 at The Neighborly. We all enjoyed the evening. A couple of standouts though - the Cornbread is a must and the filets are probably some of the finest examples of tender - cooked to perfection. I learned as we were discussing what to order - I learned one of my guests was vegetarian and one has a significant allergy to seafood and shellfish. The vegetarian order was an easy one. Our server was knowledgeable of how the kitchen operates and that fish is cook on the same grill. But the chicken is cooked on a rotisserie that is of course strictly chicken. Problem(s) solved and all enjoyed their entrees. So if you have food allergies - I wouldn’t hesitate to ask questions as The Neighborly and its staff take them seriously. I’ll be back! Awesome evening!

I would go back but here’s what I have to say about the food and my overall experience. Our entrees were good and reasonably priced. The appetizers, however, were extremely small and way overpriced for what you get. We tried the Burrata, Brussel Sprouts and Spinach Artichoke Dip. I would maybe be ok with the size and cost if they were delicious but they were average at best. So I say give The Neighborly a try, just don’t waste your money on the appetizers. The staff was very nice and it’s a cute restaurant. We were seated outside and 7th street can get noisy but that’s not the restaurant’s fault.

FAQs

Yes. The Neighborly is frequently recommended for date night thanks to its warm, slightly upscale neighborhood vibe, attentive service, and a menu built for sharing (brussels sprouts, cornbread, prime rib and cocktails get called out often). Many guests mention a cozy booth or bar seating for a lively evening; if you prefer quieter conversation, ask for patio seating or an earlier reservation. Consider pairing a bottle of wine or a featured cocktail with a shareable starter and a main to make it feel special.

Portions are generally generous, guests often note hearty entrees and shareable starters that are great for splitting. The menu includes large mains like prime rib, ribs, and sizable platters (jumbo crispy shrimp, picnic platter), while apps such as cast iron cornbread and brussels sprouts are designed for sharing. A few guests reported occasional variability (some dishes felt small or soused), so if you’re planning to share, order an extra starter or a side to be safe.

The Neighborly serves brunch on weekends and offers lunch and dinner during the week. Current hours are: - Brunch: Sat–Sun 9:30 am–3:00 pm - Lunch: Mon–Fri 11:30 am–3:00 pm - Dinner: Mon–Thu & Sun 3:00 pm–9:00 pm; Fri–Sat 3:00 pm–10:00 pm - Happy Hour: Daily 3:00 pm–6:00 pm. If you have a holiday plan, call ahead to confirm specific dates.

Yes, the Neighborly is family-friendly and offers accessible seating. Guests frequently bring children, celebrate birthdays, and report accommodating service for families (kids’ menu and large portions). Several guests mentioned the restaurant provided wheelchair-accessible seating and helpful staff for special needs. If you need specific accessibility accommodations or family seating (high chairs/booths), call ahead so staff can prepare.

For a quieter experience, go early: weekday lunch (Mon–Fri 11:30–3:00 pm) or an early dinner seat before 6pm tends to be calmer. The patio is consistently noted as a quieter option. If you want the lively atmosphere, evenings, especially Fridays, Saturdays and event nights (Third Thursday, wine dinners), are busy and energetic. Happy Hour (daily 3–6pm) is great for drinks and small plates.

The Neighborly offers a mix of seating: tufted leather booths, a bustling bar, an attractive outdoor patio (with misters/fans), and private/second-floor space for events. Guests reference an upstairs event area used for wine dinners and Third Thursday events; the menu also lists Private Dining options. If you need a private room or patio table, call ahead, private parties are supported.

The Neighborly is lively, warm, and neighborhood-focused with a Casual Elegant vibe, tufted booths, an active bar, and an industrial-chic interior mentioned by guests. Many praise the friendly, team-style service and upbeat energy; note that the dining room can get quite noisy at peak times. If you want a calmer feel, the outdoor patio is repeatedly recommended as more relaxed and comfortable.

Casual dress is appropriate. The restaurant lists its dress code as “Casual Dress, ” and guests routinely report comfortable, neighborhood-style dining, jeans, smart-casual attire, and date-night outfits are all common. If you’re attending a private event or wine dinner, you may choose slightly dressier attire.

Yes, the staff regularly accommodates special requests. Guests describe successful arrangements for birthdays (complimentary desserts/gifts), dietary needs, wheelchair accessibility, and private event details. The restaurant supports private parties and special events, so call ahead to confirm dietary restrictions, seating preferences, or celebration touches and the team will usually help make arrangements.

Yes. Families and children dine here frequently, guests bring kids for brunch, lunches, and family celebrations. The menu has a Kids Dinner section with several options, and servers often accommodate birthday parties and family needs. For young children consider an early seating or outdoor patio table for more space and a calmer noise level.

There’s no explicit online waiting-list policy provided, but guests report busy service on Friday/Saturday nights and event evenings. The best approach is to make a reservation for weekends or special events; if you arrive without one you may experience waits. Call the restaurant ahead if you’re in a hurry or attending during a known busy night (Third Thursday, wine dinners).

Busiest: Friday and Saturday evenings, event nights (Third Thursday, wine dinners), and holidays, guests often report a lively, noisy dining room after 6pm. Quietest: weekday lunches and early dinner seatings, plus the patio which tends to be calmer. For a low-key meal, aim for weekday lunch or an early dinner; for energy and events, visit weekend evenings.

If you want a lively night, Friday or Saturday is ideal, great for date nights and events. For a quieter, more conversational meal, choose a weekday (Mon–Thu) or Sunday early evening, or visit for weekday lunch (Mon–Fri 11:30–3:00 pm). Brunch on Saturday or Sunday is also popular if you prefer daytime ambiance and patio seating.

Yes. The menu includes a Private Dining section with curated dinner, shareable stations and dessert options, and the restaurant-provided info confirms they accept private parties. Guests also describe upstairs event space and hosted wine dinners, so private dining and special events are supported, contact the restaurant to plan menus and space.

Guests report visiting on holidays (Easter, Valentine’s Day) and the restaurant runs special events at times, but there’s no definitive holiday-hours schedule listed. Because holiday hours can vary, call the Neighborly directly to confirm opening hours for a specific public holiday before you plan your visit.

Yes, outdoor patio seating is a highlight. Many guests praise the comfortable patio (with shading, fans and misters) as a quieter and pleasant spot to dine, especially in warm weather. Patio seating is recommended for guests sensitive to noise, and reviewers consistently call out the patio as a top choice for lunch, brunch and dinner.
