The Oaks Kitchen
Great food and nice atmosphere. Nice place for a lunch
Had a beautiful lunch outside...Will definitely go back!!!
The Management ( Adam "Red Raider" ) and Staff at the Oaks are simply GREAT. The food and overall environment make it a special place to dine and have a relaxing experience. Highly Recommend...!!!
Wonderful evening. Nice atmosphere and great music. Delicious food too.
We sat outside at the far edge. A beautiful setting and good food.
An excellent experience and atmosphere. We sat outdoors and they had live music the night we were there. Wonderful! Everything we ordered was delicious and we all enjoyed! The price was very reasonable. We had a very nice waitress that was very observant and personable. I would highly recommend Oaks kitchen to anyone looking for a nice dinner and experience in Katy.
We loved it. Introduced it to my friends/co-workers, and are for sure returning when we can splurge again.
Had high expectations but the only enjoyable experience was the ambiance. Food was not as bad as the service. Our waitress was slow, lacked customer service and horrible at communication. We went for the Sunday brunch and bottomless mimosas which after 2 glasses they ran out of champagne and didn’t bother to tell us but instead gave us watered down juice. Great location but sadly service was not worth it.
First time here so I can’t say if it is usual. We could literally hear every table around us complaining and asking for the manager. Took 20 mins after being seated before anyone came to ask for drinks. Wouldn’t see the waiter but once every 30mins. Took forever to get our meal. Menu is overpriced with small portions. It is also deceiving. My brunch item came with “hash browns” which ended up being tater tots. Probably one of the worst dining experiences I have had in years.
The restaurant itself is quite nice, the food was good but the portions were too small. Food was cold also when we received it. Definitely a family atmosphere, loud and kids running around everywhere. Will not be dining there again.
I’ve been to oaks multiple times without issue. Saturday was a disaster. Waited 20 plus minutes for drink. Over and hour for 2 salads and a burger. Poorly trained and young inexperienced staff. Bathroom was a disaster w paper towels on floor, wet and slick although no towels in dispenser. I did speak with manager who comped our drinks. Overall Poor experience
2-1/2 hours for a dinner was excessive; waited for food
The food was really good. Except the baked Brie which had almost no cheese at all. A few Brie rinds and lots of spinach. The crab Mac and cheese was awesome. Generous in pouring the wine.
Very disappointed in the service. The server was very inattentive and made a few mistakes on our order. When asked about it, all he said was, “my bad.” On other visits, the service was much better.
Great food and fast, friendly service! Had opportunity to talk with chef to compliment his menu. Nice place to gather, eat, and enjoy!
Busy Saturday night that resulted in a 2 hour dining experience. Apps took at least 20-30 mins to arrive at table.
Just a evening out with my husband.
Our waitress was very sociable and made the experience so much better. Being our first time there, we tried several dishes and was impressed with the crab Mac and cheese but fairly underwhelmed by most everything else. The ambiance and service was great, but the food was disappointing especially at the price point.
I enjoyed the steak filet with mashed potatoes & asparagus. It was a little heavy on the salt but very flavorful! Great ambience, wonderful vibe, it was nice to hear the sound of rushing water from the bucket emptying in the pool near by
We took my Mom to brunch. The server didn’t know very much about the menu the things that I wanted on the menu was not available and not told upfront.
We enjoyed our time because it was a special time for us but can they improve on the food
Great girls night dinner
Love the atmosphere
Service was ok but became worse over time there
Food was good just a bit pricey
Not a lot of menu options
Our server must have been new, but when you spend 400$ you kinda expect better service. Everyone’s food was great but my Blackened Chicken was very dry. We asked for double chips and came 30 min later our cheese was cold by then.
Logan, our server, was superb! Knowledgeable regarding entrees, competent, and great attention to detail. He is the reason we'll be back.
Overworked, undermanned staff. Very slow service.
The food is always great and was able to sit outside which was beautiful. Servers are very attentive.
The service was excellent and our server was so friendly and attentive. Excellent food.
If you are African American don’t go. Had to find a waiter and got stares from the customers as well as the wait staff. However the shrimp tacos were delicious but the menu said on corn tortilla when I got flour tortilla I asked if it was corn and was told by the waiter he didn’t know. I think what he meant is he didn’t care.
We love the Oaks!! Be forewarned, you need reservations and the parking is always packed but there’s always a spot in the back. The servers are always great! The food is beyond exceptional and the vibe is right! This is one of our all time favorites, we can’t get enough! Every dish is so yummy &we just have to keep coming back for more!
We love the food at The Oaks, the atmosphere, and great waitstaff..
Yummy brunch with great desserts. Lovely indoor and outdoor seating. Great service.
Great service, perfect cocktails and good company!
My husband and I are there for the first time last week. The food and service were amazing. There was live music at the time that we went. We will definitely be going back.
Always love the over all experience! Great place!
OUTSTANDING experience! I have already recommended it to numerous individuals.
Johnny Cash provided exceptionally hospitable service, and even remembered me from a visit several weeks back! Ramon, my original server from the prior visit, as well as the manager even came by to welcome me back! There is obviously a CARING culture here and would certainly recommend to any potential patrons! The Ceviche is an amazing appetizer, and have never gone wrong with an Old Fashioned or Bourbon Smash cocktail! I have only been for dinner, and have always shared with my guests!!!
Great service. Good variety of menu items and drink selections. Great outdoor seating with live music.
The fish was really bad, both dishes that were ordered for different fish. Not cooked and well and not good flavor.
We just moved to Cane Island in Aug. Friends we’ve not seen since Jan due to COVID came out to see the house and social distance at The Oaks. They never been to The Oaks and were pleasantly surprised to see this part of Texas bustling with excitement vs what they’ve been experiencing in Harris Co. They said they can’t wait to come back again. The music, food, drinks and overall atmosphere was outstanding
Had a fantastic time w friends! Food was amazing & weather was perfect! Such a great atmosphere! Always perfect & friendly service! 💕💕
