We had such a great time at @theruxton in Harbor East! While we are too broke at the moment to indulge in the dinner menu, we loved their happy hour menu! For cocktails we had the Peaceoffering with tequila, bergamot, grapefruit, ginger and cardamom, and we had the Rat PAC with bourbon, peach, lemon, apricot and cherry! Each was fantastic in their own right, and they complemented each other well. Now fair warning, we have never been oyster fans, but let us tell you, these roasted garlic and herb butter oysters were absolutely killer! We also had the potato gnocchi, steak salad, and the tater tots, which we loved! Can’t wait to make our way back for happy hour soon, and who know, maybe someday we will be back for dinner as well!

Weekday lunch is a great pick, The Ruxton serves lunch every weekday, and several guests call the lunch offerings accessible and enjoyable.
Private dining isn't part of The Ruxton's offering, the restaurant's listing indicates private parties are not part of the product, with the experience focused on the main dining room.
Portions are often described as generous, reviewers call portions “excellent, ” note rich, filling sides like the lobster mac & cheese, and point out very substantial sides such as enormous loaded baked potatoes.
Yes, The Ruxton is frequently chosen for anniversaries and special evenings, with guests praising the attentive service, opulent dining room, and thoughtful celebratory touches.
For a calmer, more accessible visit to The Ruxton, try weekday lunch, the restaurant serves lunch every weekday and guests say the lunch menu is more approachable and well received.
Yes, families dine here comfortably: guests report bringing children (including a 9‑year‑old and a 4‑year‑old), servers engaging with kids, and staff marking birthdays with cards and sorbet.
The Ruxton fills up most around dinner service and special dates, guests report waits and packed dining rooms for busy dinner slots and holidays, while weekday lunch visits tend to be calmer and more relaxed.
The Ruxton feels opulent and decidedly fine‑dining: an elegant, dimly lit dining room with a lively energy, occasional louder music, and a speakeasy‑style bar next door for after‑dinner drinks.
Business casual is the guide, think neat, polished attire; many guests also dress up a touch for birthdays and anniversaries.
