                                If you are looking for an atmospheric, romantic, upscale restaurant, Antrim 1844 is the place. A Historic building in a quaint town sets the stage for a special evening. Our accommodation were downstairs near the fireplace & piano player. As the evening unfolded, and the course's wind down, other patrons began talking to us and there seemed to be a feeling of unity. The food was good and the portions adequate, which I prefer not to overindulge. I cannot say enough for the staff and their sincerity to accommodate us. I would highly recommend Antrim 1844 Smokehouse Restaurant.

                                Our meal here was exquisite from start to finish. The ambience was romanic and peaceful. The service was amazing and the food was beyond delicious. I would recommend this restaurant without exception.

                                It was a lovely experience. Wonderful for an anniversary. But, honestly, the food was just so so. Maybe a one off. My main meal..very luke warm potatoes and steak. I felt like my plate was left standing in the kitchen for awhile. I should have asked our server to take the plate back to the kitchen to rewarm my food. My partner liked his duck main course. I did love the very fresh salad and rolls and dessert. I certainly would go back and give them a second chance.

                                Exceptional service, delicious food. Expensive but worth it for us for a special anniversary. It is a prix fixe menu with more limited choices (no choice on appetizer or palate cleanser courses), so if you're a picky eater you might call to see what's on the menu. But even with a couple of things I didn't eat, there was enough that I left pleasantly full!
