Food was excellent, and both the wine and table service matched. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the wines served with each course. We opted for an early 6pm booking midweek; it was very quiet and we were the only guests at the restaurant for the duration of our meal.

This is a great place to eat - particularly if you indulge in the set lunch (£18 for 3 courses). The service is calm and prompt; the atmosphere very pleasant. I have eaten here a few times and never been disappointed. My only criticism is that this time around, the main was a little below the standard experienced previously: the potato didn't have much taste, really, and the vegetables were not as special as they could have been. Even though the lamb was tasty, it wasn't quite as good as previous meats, such as some amazing beef I had last time. All in all - this is fantastic value and a great place to go for a proper restaurant lunch. BoA is very lucky to have great places to eat but this stands out from the rest due to its location, its menu and its charm. Go and eat here!

The food was lovely , a little disappointed with the starter of trout risotto -this was a little bland but the main course was excellent. The menu was great value at 3 courses for £38 including canapés . The staff were very attentive . My only criticism of the restaurant would be the atmosphere . The place feels cold and considering it was Valentine's Day it did not have a romantic feel . But overall it is definitely worth a visit .

We went as a group of 6 for Saturday night dinner. The restaurant was excellent all round: the food was delicious, with some traditional and some innovative options; the wine list was extensive and good value; service was excellent; and the refurbishment of the building has created a comfortable, modern ambience within a traditional setting. Well worth a visit.

Food was well cooked and presented with interesting combinations. The spiced bream fillet was to die for. A satisfying meal that left us feeling full but not over so. Only complaint would be that the coffee was too strong for some members of our party.
