Food is excellent; their chicken fried steak is *the best*. Their service is great; we never have to wait long for anything.
Wonderful service. Food was amazing and the mimosas are fantastic!
Long wait to get food
The food was ok. It wasn’t hot, very underwhelming I must say. Desserts and sangria are good, but I think the food, I’ll never try again.
We tried the Towne Lake Union kitchen on New Year’s Day. The service was wonderful. The appetizer platter with an assortment of pancakes and pastries was beautiful as well as delicious. The fried chicken was crunchy, delicious and not greasy. It was a great start for the New Year. We will definitely be back.
Great food, service and ambiance for a date night or family dinner.
Excellence food and service!!
Enjoyed all the dishes and drinks
Waitress, Kayla was phenomenal. Food was good. Great experience.
It was our first time, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and atmosphere!
I really wish the full weekend brunch menu was available on weekdays.
The service was amazing, the food delicious, and the setting was beautiful
The food was delicious and the wait staff was very great and attentive. Great decor, great food and great service. The only small complaint I do have is the bar. Firstly, the beer we ordered was so overdressed that the salt started making it foam consistently, secondly the Texas HillCountry Bluebonnet drink had pretty much no taste. Just tasted like watered-down vodka that’s colored blue. From paying $6 per beer and $10 for the Bluebonnet cocktail, I expected the cocktail to at least taste like something other than vodka (given the other ingredients in it). But, overall, my party and I really enjoyed eating here.
I love dining here! Definitely a go to!
My small group of friends and I ate on the patio. We were seated promptly, and had a nice table with a great view. Our server was quite busy, and we had to wait awhile to order our food. Our server was friendly, and more attentive after our food was ready. I had the Texas Cobb Salad. While delicious, it was much smaller than expected. Especially for the price of 11.99. I was expecting something larger, along the lines of a Newk’s size salad. Adding a protein, which I chose not to do, would have been an additional 6.99. I will return, but will order something different next visit.
Beautiful weather to be outside! KJ was great and very patient!a
The waiter got my order wrong. It seems like the entire team was not paying attention because I had to repeat my order 3 times to 3 different people. Food is good but service needs some work.
The food was good, but the all but 2 of the six appetizers plates were dirty. The food was long coming out and orders were not accurate. Drinks took forever. I have been here several times and this is the first time I have had issues. I hope it is a fluke.
Because we were sitting at the end table by the kitchen, I commented on the noise level .
Some patrons may not mind and we could have moved but perhaps removing that particular table to avoid any question.
Really was looking forward to trying out the restaurant. We arrived to the host stand to check in only to be told they had cancelled our reservation for being 8 min late, no courtesy call, nothing. They weren’t even willing to work us in. We expressed our huge disappointment when in fact they could have sat us, because once I left, I checked the OpenTable app for other options and it would have allowed to me to book another table within 10 minutes. Such a huge disappointment and special thanks for ruining my birthday dinner!
This was the first time we had gone to the Union Kitchen and it was a hit with our whole family! We will definitely be back! Service was outstanding and food was delicious and portions were huge! Next time, we will probably split some entrees!
First visit. Food has very good - really liked the nola voodoo balls. I had the filet medallions with mushroom risotto and it was great. My wife had the honey Sriracha salmon and loved it.
Excellent service but almost empty, which is strange for a Saturday evening.
A tad expensive but not ridiculous.
We'll be back.
Overall an excellent evening
and wonderful dinner.
great for brunch...
Great Service! The bartenders are awesome!
My family friend 84th birthday
Everything was good food and service
Music was way to loud by our table. Asked them to turn it down but they didn’t.
2 of our 5 meals were messed up.
One of the meals came out cold. Server was quick to take it back and remedy the situation, however, they reheat the food and instead of bringing it out in a now clean plate, they returned it with the garnish withered and all shifted to one side of the plate.
Their chicken fried steak is the best I've ever had in a restaurant. The service is impeccable.
Made a same day reservation online for 10:45 Sunday brunch, outside seating for 4 people. We arrived and there were at least 7-10 open tables outside. The hostess pulled up my Reservation and stated that since I just made the reservation that morning, we could not be seated outside due to other reservations having been made a week in advance. Why have the choice available online if the restaurant will not accommodate? My assumption, having worked in the industry myself, the waiters inside did not have many tables, in fact, only 1 other table was occupied, so they forced us inside. I should have walked out and gone to the restaurant next door, I would have rather given that $150.00 tab to someone who would appreciate it.
First time visiting great lake views. Tge food was great and well prepared the restaurant was well maintained throughout the restrooms well well kept. The staff were friendly and very helpful in making food selections. I would highly recommend this location
The service was excellent, the waiter was excellent, food was outstanding
Halloween Birthday was reserved and not acknowledged, which is okay, but not sure why we were asked that when we reserved our table. We made reservations for the patio and then we were told once we arrived that we may not be accommodated due to reservations that are usually made weeks in advance. After the two hostesses walked back and forth discussing our reservation, we were seated outside as we requested. Our waiter was kind and accommodating, but was not assertive with the kitchen. We were missing food that was then brought to the table cold. The grits tasted like seafood and were extremely thick. After requesting to switch the grits back to the hash potatoes that originally came with my meal, I was brought some mashed potatoes after I finished eating. We also saw a waitress delivering multiple kiddie cups holding them with her fingers inside of the filled cups after walking back and forth and touching the door to let people in and out. My drink that came from the bar was amazing to say the least. Our family will NOT be going back to the Union Kitchen Towne Lake. Thumbs down.
Everything was OK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Food, service and atmosphere were top notch as usual!
Service was top notch and the menu offered a great selection. Both meals that we ordered were solid, and good, but not outstanding. I had a hanger steak which was a bit underdone for my taste and it was slightly bland. Had a martini which had very little alcohol... but was iced perfectly. Would we go back, definitely. Love the vibe and the view.
The food was excellent, the location is wonderful. The service was good. Immediate reception with a great attitude, our server was very kind.
However, the serving and ordering were very time-consuming. Greeted by our Server, brought waters, took orders for a very long time to receive. We finally were able to order some appetizers and then our food. We ordered the Mimosa souvenir glass and we were disappointed as it took forever to get a refill... yet we seated next to a table that our server brought out CARAFES for them. In my opinion, someone should be walking around more often to see if we needed a refill. our other drinks took very long to fill.
Again, overall was good.
Lydia, I definitely appreciate your feedback. I want to apologize that our service was slow. We hope you give us another opportunity to redeem ourselves!
The staff at this location are phenomenal! From the chief to the GM to the waiter to the bus staff - almost every one of them go above and beyond.
