First came the pub, cheap drinks and cheaper food, then came the gastropub, an import from Britain featuring upmarket pub grub in a ale-drinking setting. Now, welcome The Waverley, which further blurs the lines between restaurant, social house and bar. The Waverley is the culmination of where the industry is heading; amazing food, unreal cocktails, cool vibes, laidback staff that know their products and what they are doing, refined tastes at affordable prices and zero smugness and attitude. Me and my friend went to the restaurant for my birthday and it was a wonderful experience! From the food, staff and ambience it was a memorable experience. I recommend going as the staff are very nice and the food is really good.

The waiter was very attentive and polite; the atmosphere was nice with the holiday lights. The fish was good but a little too crispy. The fish tacos were not great, just okay. The Rueben sandwich was also not great. Both meals had nothing but iceberg lettuce and tomato on them; which made them nothing special and not something I would order again. Our friends had the steak and said it was very good. The truffle fries were good but had too much Parmesan on them. Overall we had a lovely time but nothing was spectacular enough to bring us back again. Given the cost of restaurants these days, it has to be really amazing to bring us back.

Food was just alright. Pretty bland tbh. Restaurant was full but still took our small table almost an hour to get our food, and they were sold out of a couple things. Not overly impressed but wouldn’t avoid it for large gatherings.

Restaurant was empty except for our group. I’m hoping the rain was the cause. Food and service were both great! I would highly recommend. Come on people, support your local restaurants!

Was an average experience at best. Our server was attentive and friendly but I dont think we will go back. There was an item on the menu we wanted but were told after that it was not available, fine but the other food was just OK.
