  • Thanksgiving at The Whitby Bar & Restaurant

    $225.00 per person

    Nov 26, 2026 only
Thanksgiving is supposed to be comforting. Predictable is another matter. At The Whitby, things begin with a glass of Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé, smoked salmon mousse blinis with Petrossian Ossetra caviar, and black Burgundy truffle and mushroom toast—a perfectly civilized way to start a family gathering. There’s butternut squash soup for the traditionalists, Maine lobster with Muscat grapes for those less interested in tradition, and a porcini tart with caramelized onion and walnut jam somewhere happily in between. Turkey, of course, makes its appearance—heritage black turkey with porcini and chestnut stuffing, potato purée, cranberry sauce and gravy. But wandering is encouraged: Shiraz-braised short rib, wild red snapper, chestnut and farro gnocchi, and a vegan choux farcis all make compelling alternatives. Dessert brings everyone back to familiar territory: pumpkin bread pudding, pear frangipane tart, and apple-cranberry upside-down tart. Or cheese and honeycomb, for those pretending they’ve had enough. Thanksgiving Dinner is $225 per person and includes a glass of Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé NV. Price excludes tax and 20% gratuity. • Christmas Day at The Whitby

    $215.00 per person

    1 - 6 people

    Dec 25, 2026 only
There’s something wonderful about Christmas in New York. The city finally slows down, Champagne gets opened before noon, and lunch has permission to last all afternoon. At The Whitby, Christmas begins with Billecart-Salmon Rosé, smoked salmon blinis crowned with Petrossian Ossetra caviar, and warm toast with black Burgundy truffle. Then comes the difficult part: choosing. Lamb Wellington with maitake mushroom jus, heritage turkey with porcini and chestnut stuffing, or perhaps a deeply comforting Shiraz-braised short rib. There will be potato purée for the table. There will be sticky toffee pudding and bûche de Noël. And, for once, absolutely no reason to rush. Come hungry. Stay awhile. We’ll take care of Christmas. Christmas Day · $215 per person Four courses with a glass of Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé.

Beautiful ambience and outstanding service. Look forward to going back for afternoon tea again. It was a more relaxed atmosphere than a lot of the more touristy spots for tea.

Such a great experience! I visited for afternoon tea for a friend’s birthday. Great tea choices, lovely dishes and really thoughtful service. My only issue, which may seem silly, but there was no place to put our purses. They didn’t have purse stools, so some of us had to hold our purses in our laps through the meal, which was inconvenient. Of course, such a small thing, and overall had a great experience!
