With many beautiful features surrounding the venue, the biggest is our Oyster Bar. This space is for oyster lovers to sit and enjoy our signature East33 oysters shucked by our experienced farmers.

    Very disappointing. No longer the lovely Sunday afternoon ambiance we had experienced on previous visits when it was Hamilton’s. Whilst the staff were mostly friendly & courteous, the menu has changed and a fish burger with supermarket style crumbed fillets and a processed slice of cheese, plus undercooked vegetables, was not the standard. (We understand al dente, but this was not.) However the rainbow trout was very good.

    The fish and Oysters were great, the carpet bagger was good and I had issues with my steak… over done twice. The vegetables were great sad was desert.

    This was another great meal, all three courses. I’ve tried a number of items on the menu and all were excellent, but I really can’t go past the cold oyster tasting plate - six different toppings on beautiful local oysters. Each time I’ve been there the server asked which was our favourite, and each time we couldn’t decide, they were all delicious.

    Limited menu I thought for lunch choices, however when it’s so delicious and 1 of the best meals we have had out in a long time then understandable, keep it limited but do very well.

    Our party of six enjoyed the cold oyster tasting plate, linguine, Manning Valley steak, barramundi and the special Carpetbag Steak (which was the best steak I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant!). All of the meals were delicious and beautifully presented, the view is lovely and the service was excellent. We all agreed that although the prices were high it was worth it for such a great dining experience - 33 Degrees will be our first choice for special occasions.

    We organised a surprise post-COVID date for our Parents. The total experience was perfection. Water-front , friendly & professional service, OUTSTANDING food, and a sophisticated but relaxed atmosphere.

    Four ladies went for lunch and were very happy with the service and food. I was particularly impressed with the decor and table service made our day. Cost of dessert a little expensive although we all enjoyed what we ordered.

    The last visit to 33 degrees was excellent but we were disappointed with the menu and the quality of the meals this time . There was no explanation of the menu nor chef specials offered . With such a fabulous setting we expected fine dining and expert waiters . The battered fish was bland and showed evidence of being frozen . Unfortunately presentation was not up to standard.

    Disappointing service, slow and the service attendant was dull. The food was not very hot, which was disappointing and the steak was not to order. However the oysters were perfect! And a lovely variety of toppings… well done.

    Can’t find a negative. Food was exceptional, service was fantastic - they’d even arranged for the rain to stop so we could enjoy the lovely view! Staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu.

    33 Degrees is truly a gem in the Forster-Tuncurry restaurant scene, so please don't be mislead by any negative reviews you might read. My wife and I were visiting Forster-Tuncurry and we lucked-in when we chose to dine here. We shared a mixed plate of oysters as a starter, followed by the cured salmon, scallop and octopus dishes from the entree list, plus a mixed green salad. Every dish was outstanding, and the service we received impeccable. We also enjoyed an excellent pinot gris from the Hilltops wine region, which had been recommended by our wait person. We have eaten in some great restaurants over the years, and in our view, 33 Degrees is right up there with the best of them.

    This is such a different dining experience and we loved it. We opted for tapas sharing and were full with tapas plates and desserts.

    We went there for Mother’s Day lunch Every time we visit foster we always visit Hamiltons oyster we found that it had been changed to the new thirty three degrees and we thought the quality would still be the same we where extremely disappointed we ordered the steak 2 steaks they were both cold and Brussel sprouts where hard as rocks for $40 steaks you expect a good steak you get a better steak at the pub and pay half the price We also ordered a cold tasting plate we payed $60 for 4 prawn one scollop 1 Balmain bug and 4 oysters Pasta was tasteless no salt and pepper on tables Menu small and no variety also no kids menu no breads Go back to the old food and service and feel Casual but classy!! It’s now to fancy and trying to be something it’s not We will NOT be back

    Had lunch there yesterday afternoon. We were offered a table of 4 either at the outside back without any view, or a table inside in the middle of the entrance - mind you only one other table was occupied at noon. I had the aged steak (medium rare) with some green vege. The streak was a bit chewy with not much taste. The green vege was chewy. My friend had the Clams stir fry with XO source and was chewy as well. Overall disappointed experience.

    First visit since the change of ownership. One couple for lunch. Limited but enjoyable menu, lovely wine menu. Oysters are delicious, although the warm Japanese mornay type option was a little over-salty, charging a bit too much for local oysters. Lovely to have the main of Linguine with bug meat offered as entree size, however, not much bug meat, although delicious. Service cannot be faulted, friendly and efficient, courteous and thoughtful staff. Generous glass of wine.

    Lovely place. Good service. Good food. The wine list needs attention; it is possible to buy less coarse wine and still make good margins at the current wine list prices. Tried pinot grigio, temperanillo and shiraz.

    Great views across lake even on overcast day still is lovely. Helps having pelican in post outside added to views then a passing dolphin as well. We have been here a few times food service is always excellent. This visit was no exception.

    Great renovation of the old Hamiltons. The food is high quality with a smaller menu focussing on local fresh produce. Priced fairly and wine list is decent and not crazy expensive. Service was professional, welcoming and made one want yo come back. Quickly will establish itself as one of the best in town. Highly recommend.

    We were regulars at Hamiltons, this was our first time since it changed hands. The previous standard was at least met, maybe exceeded. Service was excellent (even before I realised one of the wait staff was an ex student from a town six hours away!) Food was exceptional. Every course was delicious, but in picking something to recommend, I can’t go past the cold oyster tasting plate. Sorry, no photos of that, we had eaten most of them before I thought of it. And of course, the view of the lake - eating right next to the water always adds that bit more value and the enjoyment to the meal.

    Absolutely appalled at paying $60 for 4 prawns, 4 oyster, 1 balmain bug, sashimi and 1 raw scallop. My husband's steak was cold. We left so hungry, we went and got KFC

    We have not been to 33 Degrees for 12 months and love the new decor, menu and standard of service received. Carly is an exceptional employee providing amazing service, very attentive, smart, funny and very cordial in the manner she handles her customers! If I had a restaurant or business I would steal her!! I had oysters that were very tasty but not as large as I might have wanted. Pricing was excellent, however. I had the John Dory and found the two pieces were over cooked, The crumbed batter was a dark colour that indicates too much cooking! Pity! Will certainly be back as we plan to go to Forster on a regular basis from Port Macquarie for short breaks. A great experience nonetheless! Thanks Carly! Paul & Di and Nicole
