Horrible service ! We were there to celebrate our friend's B'day but its unfortuante we got the most pathetic service. We were 4 women in our 40s, extremely accommodating and respectful; maybe that's why they did not take us very seriously. We ordered mostly vegetarian at the beginning b'cos 3 out of 4 of us were vegetarian. However, for the main course, I ordered a chicken dish & confirmed with the server, Christian, that it has only chicken & no other meat 'cos i don't eat any red meat, he gave me a thumbs up but it never arrived. My friends almost finished their dinner, though they were trying to eat slowly so we could eat together. After reminding 4 staff members within 30mins ( Mind you, not our server, 'cos he never showed up), finally the chef came & said that it was a chicken dish & not vegetarian. I was shocked 'cos i told my server already i was ok with chicken, then they served the dish in literally 5mins when I was planning to cancel it. Wait....the most shocking part is not over yet. At the end our server showed up to check on us, I expressed my disappointment politely & he says "I told in the kitchen that you are ok with chicken but they won't believe me & said they won't make your dish". Can you believe that ???? Extremely shocking, I had a very good opinion of Black people in service, but the server completely changed my mind, forever. He won't even apologize, he suggested I can talk to the manager if I want to, I immediately agreed & guess what ? he comes back saying 'Manager is not to be seen may be left for the day". Unbelievable, its the worst service I ever received in any bay area restaurant. ALSO they had soup single serving & bowl, we ordered bowl so we could share with was literally just a lil more than single serve, each of us got to hv may be 4 spoons. 2 of our friends had slight throat sour so they asked for warm water & it was charged, which we found out only when the check arrived. Absolutely NO COURTESY Staff or Manager.
