excellent service, real taste Italian, pappardelle ragu the best ...
Great restaurant with a delicious menu. Service was great and the waiter was very friendly. There were 3 of us celebrating our birthdays and we all received complimentary desserts which we really appreciated. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
The sausage ravioli was terrible, basically a cut up piece of sausage wrap in dough served with a marinara sauce that have been sitting all day. The branzino was dry along the edges and very bland, including the mushroom sides and pesto. The food was not up to par, especially for the price that they are charging. The hostess was not very friendly. I would not go back.
We had a wonderful experience. Really great space and energy. The food was delicious and prepared perfectly. Topping off the dinner was truly great services from the staff. The waiter and support staff did everything to make our night enjoyable and memorable. We will certainly return!
My husband and I were here for dinner before seeing Hamilton. The staff was aware we were seeing a 8:00 show and celebrating my Birthday. They were extremely attentive and informative. The food was delicious and they surprised me with a Birthday desert. Most definitely would return.
Food was excellent! Butternut Squash Ravioli is the best. The Lobster Ravioli was Superb! The service was awesome. We were attended by a very professional waitstaff. We got to our play with plenty of time and never felt hurried or rushed. A most pleasant experience with awesome food! I’ll be back!
Love Trattoria no 10! Always a great meal
Delicious, authentic Italian food. The raviolis are their specialty. My husband had the lobster ravioli. OMG they were the most delicious we'd ever tasted. I would also recommend the scallops on pureed squash. We will definitely return!
Second time eating here. Great service and excellent food. Great waiter (Steven), who was very helpful. I really enjoyed it
Our favorite downtown Chicago restaurant. Excellent food and service with an elegant but unshowy ambience. Even when it's full, which is usually is, you can actually carry on a quiet conversation. The staff are well ware of your schedule if you're there for a pre-show dinner.
We had a delightful evening. The squash ravioli and scallops were fantastic. This is a restaurant of longstanding that does not rest on its laurels. Instead it is up to date with a current take on Italian favorites. The service is always gracious and friendly. The tables are far enough apart that it is comfortable visiting with friends without having others hear every word. Noise level is very manageable. All in all, this restaurant continues to be a treasure in downtown Chicago.
One of my favorite downtown restaurants. I always bring my out of town guests here.
Let's start with the sun-dried spread that greets you at the table.....you could make a meal of it. But then you would miss the lobster ravioli appetizer and the pasta with lamb meatballs. The latter being a bit spicy for me but maybe not for others. My wife had the cheese plate and the butternut squash for the entree. Coupled with a fabulous bottle of wine recommended by the server. Staff was outstanding and friendly. Definitely would recommend this to friends visiting Chicago
I was really impressed how they handled it when something went wrong. Due to some miscommunication our meal was taking a long time and we had theater tickets. The manager came by more than once to check on us and to apologize and she even comped our appetizer. Once the food was delivered they checked in multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed and brought us the bill quickly so we could eat and run. I understand that things happen from time to time and I don't blame them for that. I've eaten here several times before and I must say this hiccup was very rare. I appreciated the professionalism in resolving the problem and will definitely be back soon!
A lovely place for a great meal and comfortable conversation in a beautiful grotto-like atmosphere.
The restaurant is downstairs and is decorated beautifully. The food and service was amazing and our waiter made helpful recommendations. I did think there were a few too many tables in the restaurant as it was very crowded and very loud. I wouldn't say that it was romantic just because of all the people there and little privacy with the seating. But I think it would be a wonderful place to bring a group or have a fun party.
Tables need to be organized in a way that allows some privacy to customers. Music has to be taken care of. Also it would be great if hours are extended in weekends
Excellent service. Tasty food. Could have been served a little bit hotter—the food was warm but not hot when it was brought to table.
We were seated and told we had to be done by 8PM and when we asked to order dessert our server said that she had to ask her manager as it was almost eight. Comped us dessert but were moving tables, chairs and had a ladder out to rearrange lights for the next party coming in. Manager didn’t seem to care nor anyone else here. They obviously don’t care about their patrons and were condescending and total rude with their responses. Open table does not for zero stars which they truly deserve so I had to give them 1. BEWARE AND DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.
Always delicious. Perfect location for theaters. Don’t miss this.
One of our favorite places to go pre/post theater. Food and service is always on the mark. Great wine list.
Trattoria No. 10 has never failed to provide an excellent dining experience. The food is rustic Italian and the wine selection is exceptional, don't forget to try the win recommendations, delicious.
The service is what stands Trattoria No. 10 apart from so many others. The service always has the personal touch and you feel at home when dining at this gem of a restaurant.
Quiet, elegant, excellent food and service. One of Chicago's hidden gems.
Due to traffic and various circumstances, we only had a half hour to get in and out before a concert. Our waitress split a salad for us and served our half orders of pasta in enough time for us to even have a quick cup of coffee and pay the bill while making it to our concert on time. We have been going to this restaurant regularly since it opened and have never been disappointed. Food delicious as always!
Great before theater dinner. Service was excellent and not hurried. Pasta is amazing.
We were pressed for time due to being delayed in traffic. We informed our waiter regarding theater tickets. He took our order and served dinner in a timely manner.
The Valpolicella wine was excellent. We each ordered a different pasta dish. They were all superb!
Every I am going to a show downtown I will eat at Trattoria 10.
Awesome dinner venue in the heart of Chicago! You walk down the stairs into a delightful cozy place to eat and visit. Service was superb. The food - oh my... Ravioli filled with butternut squash is to die for. Any of the ravioli - do NOT miss it!
It was a wonderful experience. The waiter was very attentive and had great recommendations.
This is my favorite restaurant in the loop and my go to place pre-theater. The food is always delicious, especially the pasta which is house-made. The ravioli is amazing! But what makes this restaurant top notch is the outstanding service. Every single time. The wait staff is attentive and knowledgeable. I can’t say enough about this place and can’t wait to go back!
A warm, cozy Place which feels like you’re in Italy. You smell delicious garlic upon entry. Our server was very friendly and patient. Food quality and portions were amazing and I’d definitely recommend this place for pre-theater or dinner.
Great food, reasonably priced for downtown Chicago
Dinner after theatre.
Wait staff is experienced and attentive without being overbearing. Food is very good, particularly the fish entrees and handmade ravioli. Exceptional minestrone. Always good before a show.
Great food and atmosphere
Great food. Restaurant was packed. Loud atmosphere.
Ravioli was great. Found an excellent and affordable super Tuscan wine. Made the meal.
This is a favorite restaurant. We always have a fresh, delicious meal. Great wine choices also. The service is fantastic.
Great food! Wonderful experience. We will be back!
When visiting Chicago, my wife and I always make a point of having at least one dinner at Trattoria No. 10. the pasta's are fresh and always good when stuffed with your favorite cheese, lobster, etc. Nice varied wine menu and great cappuccino with your dessert. We were a little early for our reservation, but seated immediately. Service was efficient, but no sense of being rushed at all. Our waiter's name was Richard and he was great. Can't wait to come back again and again.
First, the food was great: lobster ravioli was recommended no rush; server asked if we needed to meet a theater date -- we did not -- willing to work with us where we were ordering small plates, one at a time, ordering the next only after finishing the plate served to us. The ambiance was blissfully quieter than most other restaurants that I have visited lately: yes, you can talk with the people at your table without screaming at them at the top of your lungs. I wish these folks well and long life! I am confident your visit will be as satisfying as ours!
