    The wine was excellent as always. But I miss the expansive list of wines by the glass and flights. The food was average at best, which is a shame because we have had some truly memorable meals there.

    Exceptional food and service. We arrived 15 minutes early to our reservation so they set us up at the bar and then sat us early. Everyone was pleasant and accommodating. Table service was outstanding; waiter was very knowledgeable, attentive, and kind. The food was unreal; the bread and butter, wild mushroom risotto, and carbonara were fantastic…but the star of the show was the ricotta with fig and sunflower seed pesto- a MUST TRY!!! Will absolutely be returning here again with more friends, and it’s an incredible intimate date spot.

    Food was solid. When we got there for 8 oclock reservation it pretty loud. Server was great; drinks were pretty good. Bread and butter was great. Appetizers were pretty good. Main entrees were above average but nothing mind blowing. I got the duck she got the steak. Had the mussels and salad as apps. Creme brûlée was mediocre. I say overall good; I will be back for another go. Definitely one of better experiences I've had eating out in Boston.

    Troquet was much closer to fine-Parisian dining than expected and far exceeded our overall expectations. They were also very accommodating for a surprise special occasion, and we made a great decision having it at Troquet. We will definitely be back!

    Fantastic wine list. Good menu and service. The bar tables are a fun place to eat. Good music. TV to watch the playoffs. Excellent experience.

    It was not busy when we were there. Our server was very attentive and informational. The lobster starter was fabulous. The bread was warm and fresh and very tasty. The pasta dish was very good. The Lobster Bouillabaisse was out of this world. The lemon curd for dessert was amazing. Overall fantastic experience.

    Our waitress was great. She explained everything and helped us choose the experience that was best for us. Her colleagues were not as expert at explaining the dishes. The ambience was cozy, good for date night. The food was high quality, fresh, very flavorful, though perhaps a little salty, such as the risotto and the pasta dish. The lemon curd was very lemony, so be prepared of that is what you like for dessert. The wines were excellent. A couple (garnacha and barbera) just needed to be left to breathe for a few minutes before their full flavor could truly be appreciated.

    Food and service was the best, our server was great and added to the overall. Parking was difficult, ambiance was ok, seating is somewhat close together, maybe it's a Boston thing. Can't go wrong for a special occasion or extravagant dinner when you come to Troquet.

    We had a really wonderful dinner here for my birthday! I tried the Venison which was unbelievably good and had the steak tartare for my appetizer. Both were outstanding. Great cheese selection for dessert! The owner can do a wine pairing with each of your courses. Our server, I think his name was Rick, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Can't wait to go back!

    Celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary at this classy French restaurant. The food was perfect- quality, selection, presentation was at par with high end French restaurants we eaten at. Our server was attentive, friendly and didn’t hesitate to replace cutlery once used. The manager promptly turned down off the AC when we said we were cold. It was 45 degrees outside. We were wished for the occasion with a champagne toast. For the entrees the venison and duck were cooked to perfection and the mushroom risotto had generous amounts of mushrooms. Prices were fair. We would definitely return on our next trip.

    The menu at Troquet is not lengthy, but the choices for lunch we're all tasty. The atmosphere is quiet enough to be able to have a conversation without shouting.

    We were there early, so it was fairly quiet. Staff was very attentive. And the food was good. My cell it was a little smaller than I would’ve expected for lunch, but very tasty.

    We were visiting Boston for the weekend and saw great reviews for troquet on south. The food and experience was amazing. We ordered the charcuterie board, scallops, and risotto and they were all so flavorful and well executed. It’s a little pricier for dinner but definitely a place to go if you’re in town. Will definitely stop by again the next time we visit!

    Wow. My wife said her risotto was hands down the most flavorful she has ever had. Service was warm and professional. Regarding the wine list - I'm kicking myself for not having gone here for years. If you like Burgundy, don't resign yourself to wine lists with a bunch of new villages wine, some 1er cru, and then outrageous verticals of grand cru from cult producers priced like Hyundais. There are a dozen lists just like that. Go instead to Troquet. Witness the wine list. It is outstanding.

    The bouillabaisse main course and the foccacia and ricotta appetizer were both wonderful. The service was attentive, but it took a very long time for our main course to arrive and we were almost late for the concert we were going to that evening. I doubt we will be back.

    Wow! We had an amazing experience- we asked about a tasting menu and our server, Olga, worked with the chef to create an incredible experience of food and wine for us. Every thing we had was incredible in flavor combinations and presentation. The small pours to compliment each course were wonderfully chosen and knowledgeably explained.
