Good food in nice surroundings. It was pie night and Captain Nemo pie was excellent. I love fish, but not things such as prawns which are often in fish pies. This was just fish,potatoes and peas and it was the best ever. So much fish and expertly cooked.

Lovely atmosphere and excellent service. Very COVID-19 aware so felt safe and relaxed entering the building. I had sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection- thank you! Will definitely return for both meals and casual coffee with friends.

Ambience was good a noise levels low as restaurant was almost empty, no doubt due to Covid restrictions Service was good Very very limited menu, again I presume due to lack of customers. We both had the 3 meats Sunday roast which was good, could have done with more veg.

A lovely venue, beautifully presented with great views and excellent service. A lovely lunch with great choice. I would definitely recommend to others.

Ate at Uplands for the first time last Sunday, the roast was delicious, as was the thai fish cake starter and the sticky toffee pudd for dessert was just scrumptious.... Service was great. Although we have been in for drinks a few times our first dining experience was lovely and we will be taking friends and family next time definitely. Thank you.

Lovely setting, comfortable seating, fantastic staff and lovely food. What more do you want from a restaurant. This is my first port of call whenever I’m in the area and it never disappoints.
