Lovely quaint place that tastes and looks like finer dining than a bistro. Highly recommend this restaurant and its friendly staff. I’ve had many of their features and regular items both for lunch and dinner and each one is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. If you plan to go, I suggest making a reservation as it is extremely popular especially with the locals. Enjoy!

The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a meal. The service was truly exceptional—attentive, friendly, and welcoming without ever feeling rushed. The staff’s recommendations were outstanding and clearly came from genuine knowledge of the menu. Every meal we tried was excellent, both in quality and in generous portion sizes, leaving us more than satisfied. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and top-notch service.

My friend and I arrived at 7:30 pm. I ordered fish and chips; fish was good but lukewarm at best. Fries were overcooked and stuck to each other. She didn’t take my fish with the fries and just brought me a separate order of new fries. Friend ordered Caesar salad with no bacon, bacon came out on the salad. I’m finished my wine and no one came to see if I wanted another glass. When I finally got our servers attention, she acknowledged me and then went to another table first to check on them before coming to me. We were not offered coffee after our meal and could see they were busy working to get out early and believe they were wanting us to finish up. No discount on our food nor apology from the manager or check on the quality from the manager. Very disappointed especially for the price we paid for our food. Will not be back nor recommend.

Only negatives were the “tomato sauce” on the shrimp penne was a creamy tomato sauce which I wouldn’t have ordered if I had known. The second thing is that we had a 5:45 pm reservation (early) and carrot cake was sold out for the night. I chose a lemon cheesecake instead and asked specifically if the ere was fresh lemon rind on the “lemon topping” which the server confirmed. This was not the case. It’s more like a baked, candied lemon topping. Served with a completely unripe, white half-strawberry for $14. Otherwise, everyone else’s meals and desserts were excellent and service very good.

Everything we ordered was amazing. Was hard to pick what to get! We had mushroom crepe, squash soup, coconut pie, chocolate cake. Great prices for food of this quality. Cute atmosphere. Wonderful service! Will definitely return.

We went in for lunch for our family of 8. The wait staff was great. However, we found the service out of the kitchen to be quite slow, particularly for lunch.

I’ve been going to West Plains bistro for some years now, and the food has almost always been consistently good. The servers are pleasant, but not particularly welcoming. They almost always look overworked last night’s dinner reservation was challenging, because when we arrived at 6:30 we explained that we had to Leave in an hour. We ended up taking most of our food home in the takeout bag and were told as we departed to next time, to give a little more prep time to the cook. I don’t think there will be a next time, do you?
