One of my favorite spots in NY without a doubt!
The music was way too loud for the space and we had to leave!!!! It was a first date and a very bad place if you wanted to talk.
View is amazing with a good wine list. Service, that is the problem. They gave us a nice spot with a front view. We order a bottle of champagne. What a challenge to get refill when they put the bottle away and the waiter never come see us for service or to order another bottle. We wait and wait to ask for the bill and went somewhere else.
Great view but don’t expect more.
Service was excellent. Our sever was very polite, attentive, and helpful with drink suggestions.
I really appreciate your accommodating my request to move my reservation time to an hour later and giving us a table by the windows.
Looking forward to coming back!
Had so much fun and great atmosphere
Last time we were there baby ribs were delicious and I was dying to have them again but this time I was disappointed. I hope next time they will be delicious again..
Quality of food not great, food and drinks overpriced. Great location
Horrible service. My clientes couln’t get a second drink or any food from the server that had no intentions of serving them. I had booked the Westlight for many of my clients before, will think twice next time.
Nice ambiance, great view and good service! Nice start to a girls night.... cocktails were on point, we will be back!
The Westlight was great. The only problem
I had was at the entrance on the first level. There was a long line because you had to take the elevator to the top. However the staff did not ask anyone in line if they had a reservation instead everyone was directed to one line and I ended up standing in line for a half hour before I approached one of the staff. After my name was find in the system he escorted my party up and made sure we still had our seat. Overall the Westlight was great with amazing views.
Had a 4 person reservation on a Sat afternoon. My guests arrived before i did did, there was so much traffic getting there on the BQE, i was so frustrated. Called Westlight a few mins prior to my reservations and they had already sat my guests at a nice table near the center. They already started ordering and boy did they order!! I have been here 1x to snack and a few times to have some bites, but never in the amount of food we ordered last night. I was so happy they allowed them to sit. Our waitress was Victoria, and although she has a certain sophisticated air about her, wehn you talk with her, so down to earth! The staff is well trained in being great hosts for this place. I believe the manager was in a nice tailired suit, well groomed and you would think you were dining at Le Cirque if you did not know better. The other person heping our table was Maria. What an awesome personality. Another person who seems well trained and pleasant to tak to. They all have pkeasant personalities. Now the food. All i can say, for mostly the variety they have on the menu, is amazing. The items which were utmost memorable; cureid cauliflower dip with a hint of hot spice, the ribs, the tempura bass buns, herb fries, rock shrimp and the westlight burger. We had many more bites, but these items really stood out. For dessert, you must have the tres leches, with mango and coconut. I will not tell you whats in it, but you will love. I recommend you try it yourself! The drinks are custom. A mezcal drink was perfect in flavor for me, being a tequila lover. The cachaça drink had the perfect amount of bitters....amazing!!! The view is also very nice where we saw almost a hundred people or more on the terrace outside. People doing selfies like no tomorrow. In the summertime the terrace is full of lounge couches and tables to enjoy. I highly recommend Westlight for drinks, food, service amd the view!!
Such a cool space and amazing view! Loved the cocktails and its nice they have some food to snack on as well.
The overall experience was amazing! The gentleman who directs the guests to the elevator mentioned about the rooftop events that happen during the summertime. I’ve already booked my next trip to NYC in June and will definitely bring my friends to Westlight!
views to die for!! absolute gem of a bar! will definitely be back in the future
I love the Westlight!
Fantastic experience. Food and cocktails were phenomenal (albeit the plates are pricey), ambiance was chic and energetic, view is phenomenal, and service was great. Highly recommended.
Went for my post-Bar exam dinner and everyone was so supportive and celebratory. It was an amazing experience with an incomparable view!
My mother enjoyed her birthday here, thank you!
Gorgeous view, good bar menu, solid service - the view wins every time!
Westlight gave us an incredible table, right next to the floor-to-ceiling glass walls that looked out at Manhattan. I would go back simply for the views.
The food was good, not great (shrimp dumplings, spicy chicken empanadas, cauliflower dip, tuna tartare, and fries). Of all the dishes, the dip was the best. The service was also mediocre and confusing. I couldn’t keep up with who our waiter was, as it seemed to change each time someone came to the table. We ordered a bottle, and the ice bin was placed about 2 tables away, so refilling only occurred when one of the various waiters walked by and noticed our glasses needed refilling.
Fantastic view and great cocktails.
My favorite cocktail was the "last course." Pretty great. You first feel the first bite of the alcohol, then you taste cinnamon, and then you're left with the lingering sweet taste of syrup.
The bites are pretty minuscule, though, so eat before you go (they are $18 per order; I think we ordered over $100 in food and it's not like we were full at the end; we had the dumplings -- you get five tiny, tiny dumplings, tacos -- you get two small tacos, shrimp buns -- you get two pretty small buns, fries -- you actually get a decent amount, and I think some more). The fries were "only" $9 -- I think they were the best value of all the bites actually. Very tasty.
For desert, we had the fried apply pie, which was very good.
Amazing views, great ambience, great service and very accommodating (we were running 1hr past our reservation although I did call). Food is good quality but you pay for it with the price tag. The portions are also very small (warning for the males), for female diners who don’t want to eat that much anyway (i.e if you have that snug dress on!) the small portion sizes are fine.
Got our order but they missed One of three dishes.
They served us some drinks but never asked us about another One. No-One asked us about everythings ok?
No-One asked us about another drink?
Except the time they spend with us when we ordered we’d never get a smile.
Not What we excepted..
Weetlight is always a good idea.
Accommodations are comfortable and the view is gorgeous. Service is always on point and the food is delicious. Perfect place to unwind after work.
Lovely venue for an evening drink to watch Manhattan light up
Can’t rate the food as we didn’t eat but the menu is very small but the prices are quite big for nibbles
Food was interesting... An unusual twist on classic snacks but in a good way. Live band was playing on Monday, and they were very good, the vibe was quite relaxed, but not loud enough to not be able to talk mostly... Of course the city skyline views were stunning. Extremely windy and cold on terraces but cosy indoors. We had to wait a while for our table. We were early so perhaps unfair, but several tables were empty so we watched them for 45 minutes till one of them suddenly became "available" for us! Classy, understandably pricey, but a must see relaxed venue.
You guys were the best! Thanks for the birthday drink for my wife! It really made her birthday so much more special!
Incredible rooftop, delicious food
A wonderful time
Great view, good drinks, unfortunately no one came back to me with my special request I sent before the visit...
Took my best friend to brooklyn for the first time. She loved it. Had an amazing experience they sat us in the perfect spot.
Profoundly beautiful place with an amazing view. Had an absolutely wonderful time.
Love this place! It was quite busy, though we were seated right away for our reservation. The food and drinks were excellent. The service was a bit slow, which is understandable with how busy it was. Overall we loved it!
Terrible bar service and rude staff.
Proposed to my girlfriend at the rooftop, the floor manager Matt was a great help, the food was fantastic and the waitress was helpful. Perfection! Can’t wait to return.
Love it. Awesome experience. The staff also helped me with my propsal and the view was amazing!!
This place offered a six course tasting menu but what it actually delivered was 6 plates in total (for two people to share) of food that tasted like a mediocre buffet. Cold, awful tasting snacks (buratta floating in sugar syrup and truffles/Old oysters with minced garlic??). Two drinks and a tip made the bill over $350 which felt like an absolute rip off. Didn’t want to make a scene because this was supposed to be a chill dinner, but the mood was definitely ruined. Don’t be fooled by the ambiance and interior, this could possibly be the most disappointing “dining” experience I’ve had in NYC.
Fantastic experience with great night view, i hope to come back again one day !
Wonderful place for a special occasion. The view of the city is just amazing!
