This was the2nd time I had visited Wild Honey, the service and the food was significantly worse than my first visit.
This was a great place to go to for a pre-theatre meal. The service was ourstanding and the ambience exceptional. We had the £23 per head meal and they added a service charge which was fine. The portions were on the small side but they provided delicious bread and a complementary extra desert. I had the cod and my husband had the liver both cooked to perfection and when we said we only had an hour they made certain that we were out in good time for the theatre. Can't wait to go again and spend more time there!
I booked a table for myself and my friends to celebrate their birthday before going to the theatre. The staff was all nice and polite, however, our mains were delayed by at least 35/40mins which spoilt the whole experience. We were then served inedible dishes... all undercooked, poor presentation... not great! The general manager came over to apologise but it was a bit too late I'm afraid. I didn't even finish my main course as it was very obvious it was rushed and just not very nice... Such a shame as it's such a beautiful restaurant!
Had a lovely chat with Anthony Demetree , his passion comes through and it is immediately obvious he cares about your experience.
One of the best restaurants I have visited in recent times.
Amazing food, incredible cocktails and the service was outstanding! Brought my dad for his birthday and they really made it a special occasion.
great new find. This is a super restaurant where we enjoyed very good cuisine and excellent service.
The contrast with Wild Honey’s previous and rather cosy premises could not be starker. Some of our party liked the brasserie element and some had mild reservations. Nobody complained though and the meals served were delicious and enjoyed by one and all (except for my wife, who preferred the earlier incarnation of the restaurant!).
Delicious but too expensive.
Please add music, too quiet.
Had a really good evening.
Great food and wine. Recommend.
The pretheater menu at Wild Honey St James is full of flavours and delicious ingredients. I always enjoy the food and the service is excellent.
The bill does mount up quite quickly if you get tempted to a side of veggies or the amazing little cake and truffle that comes with coffee.
I've been before with a different friend and I will definitely go again with others.
Lunch set menu: price not high but not low either. Starter and pudding pretty good at that price point; main disappointing: tiny portion; poorly cooked fish. Service very good: friendly and unfussy. Ambience also good. Odd choice of wine servings: 125, 500 or 750. So if you’re two at lunch and 125 each not enough but 250 too much, you’re stuck. Fair pricing though: linear across the sizes.
The food quality is wonderful and the waiters are
friendly and attentive
This was my first visit to the new incarnation of Wild Honey, after closing the Mayfair location and re-opening in the much larger, more vibrant, and slightly less quiet St James's location. I am delighted to say that apart from the location, and much more business lunch-orientated clientele, everything that makes Wild Honey such a great place has been retained. The food is at least as excellent, and the set menu represents some of the best value for high quality food available anywhere in London.
Terrific food and the most beautiful room but sadly Wild Honey's decor isnt as pretty as The Balcon (its predecessor in the location).
Excellent food, great staff. Loved it
Good Food, good wine , good music, nice people good prince.
Really nice food - particularly desserts, in a lovely environment
Good service, very polite and helpful staff
Birthday. Food was mainly good. Starter portions were too large. Mains were excellent. Service was mixed. Some things weren’t available on the menu which for a Saturday night at one of the earlier sittings isn’t acceptable. The room is odd. Feels quite impersonal. The original on Hanover Street is far nicer. They filmed Phantom Thread in there. Sofitel isn’t really a luxury brand - it’s near luxury, but not the real deal.
£12 for a pot of mint tea... as expensive as our two glasses of wine...
Beautiful restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The food was cooked to perfection and the service was excellent. Great all round experience!
Marvellous evening with excellent service and staff with a great knowledge of all products
Octopus over cooked.
Very good food and value, but service was even better. Bit of a hotel ambience but nicely appointed room. Will return.
Wild Honey was a delightful experience. The food was unusual and seasonal and of a very high standard. The service was attentive but not intrusive. It was a cosy but modern atmosphere and easy to have a conversation without shouting or being overheard! The only downside was the trek to the loos which were in the main hotel.
Really nice! We enjoyed
Was not busy for Sunday lunch meaning we had great service and individual attention. Menu was very refined and reasonably priced for 3 courses but the hard to resist cocktails did bump the total up a bit. The restyled restaurant was sumptuous as was the neighbouring hotel bar which also serves great cocktails ... unfortunately.
Delicious food and very friendly, non-pretentious service. We were seated at a very spacious table for 4 in the centre of the room, and although the restaurant was moderately busy it was calm and quiet - great for catching up with friends.
In addition to a nice wine list with a good price range, they also had a good selection of wines by the glass.
The restaurant itself is beautiful- high ceilings with stunning lighting and plush blue velvet furnishings. The food was excellent - we had a range between us and everything was cooked perfectly with original flavours. The only thing that I felt let them down a bit was the service. Everyone serving at the table was very friendly and polite, but during the course of the evening the waiters changed all the time and it didn’t feel that anyone was really keeping an eye on us.
Having said that, excellent evening overall with lively and friendly atmosphere.
The whole meal was a wonderful experience. The cocktails should not be missed. The food was beautifully presented. The staff were very attentive and informative. All in all a very good place to eat.
We went for a pre theatre meal with friends. The service from the moment we arrived was exceptional, nothing was too much. The choice on the set meal had something for everyone. We were all happy with our meals and the staff were able to help with all our questions. I would definitely eat there again and will be recommending to other friends
Great pre theatre menu, although limited accompaniments for the main fish dish.
Well presented and good service. Nice choice of wine by the glass and good ambience for pre-theatre
Nice and cozy place with friendly staff and good vibes. Food was very average, but still overall experience was great. I recommend it for those who continue their evening in the Theatre, its a goo way to start evening in a special way.
Excellent Food and wonderful service.
Wild Honey was a terrific experience. Such a lovely and tasteful interior. They were all super friendly and professional, we felt at ease and were treated like a friend of the house. The food was just excellent, explosions of taste but also balanced. All freshly prepared and seasonal ingredients. The wines were all in perfect condition and the selection is fabulous. One of my boyfriend his favorite champages by the glas. The lovely Guillaume gave my boyfriend the digestive drink for free because he guessed blind that it was a macvin. We come back for sure!
All very nice , good service , nice room overall very good
We had the pre theatre menu which was good value, food well cooked and importantly the noise level was low enough that we could have conversations across the table.
Finally our waiter was excellent in sensibly talking us up but with veg that was in support of the main dish.
Outstanding venue, part of Sofitel hotel. Food is top notch, and very reasonably priced. Service impeccable. Totally recommended!
It should come as no surprise to anyone who has followed Chef Demetre’s career that the food at this new iteration of Wild Honey is Michelin star quality. Our group of three tried several different dishes and we were uniformly impressed with the creativity, taste and elevated presentation of each. The wine list is varied and reasonably priced, and the service is attentive. An overall superb dining destination.
A great full English breakfast - quite busy as 9am as its linked to the Sofitel hotel. Really great room & decor too.
Incredible food, amazing wine and fantastic service. Just perfect.
