We had an amazing evening celebrating my friend’s birthday. Sally provided outstanding service, helping us with menu selections and recommendations. I loved my salmon and the s’more dessert was delicious and unique.

I was staying at Margaritaville and was treated horribly by Kyle at the front desk. I needed something positive to look forward to so I made dinner reservations. Debi took great care of me. Her kindness was the highlight of my stay. I'd recommend the Windrose Marker 26 and I'd suggest you try to get seated in her section.

Food was good. Shrimp cocktail, steak fries, scallops. Service was SLOW. Not very attentive and so very slow. Everyone in the restaurant was waiting forever for their meals and nothing was ever said to address the extremely long wait.

Hi Jill, thank you for sharing your recent experience. We will be sure to share with the management team regarding the slow service. Sometimes in the restaurant business everyone comes at once, where all are ordering drinks and food at the same time. On the management side we should have seen this and slowed the seating down. Either way, please accept my apologies, and we do hope to welcome you back soon. Cheers, Justin T.

They provided the wrong cut of steak in lieu of what was ordered and billed.

Fantastic lake views. You are right on the water. I could sit there all night and just watch the boats. This was our last meal of the week during our stay at the Ozarks and it was hands down the best meal of the week! They gave all the ladies at the table a yellow rose at the end of the meal too. Only critique is that it’s super confusing on where to park and how to get to the Windrose!

It was ok, service was ok and being generous, biggest complaint was food was cold by time it arrived definitely over priced for what it is. If it had an expectation of being a very casual lake restaurant prob would have felt better but it’s give off expectations of fancier dining and it is not. If you’re looking for a fancier night out, i would look elsewhere.

FAQs

Yes, Windrose Marker 26 is often recommended for date night. Guests frequently praise the romantic lake and marina views from window seats and outdoor tables, attentive service for special occasions (anniversaries, birthdays) and thoughtful touches like a rose or dessert card. Plan for an evening seating (sunset views are popular) and consider requesting a window or patio table when you book to maximize the lakeside atmosphere.

Portions are typical of an upscale lakeside restaurant, entrees are standard full-portion cuts and plated sides. The menu lists steak cuts by size (8 oz filet, 12 oz ribeye, 10 oz flat iron) and composed entrees like Windrose Oscar and Lobster Mac & Cheese, which indicate entree-sized servings. Guests generally report satisfying main courses (steaks, salmon) though a few mentioned smaller or unexpectedly prepared items like the lobster roll or side portions on busy nights.

For scenic, romantic evenings go at sunset, many guests enjoy the lake views then. For a quieter experience, choose weekday evenings or earlier dinner seatings; summer weekends and holidays (e.g., 4th of July) are very busy and can be louder due to pool DJs and crowds. If you want a peaceful meal with great service, book a midweek or early seating and request a window or patio table.

Windrose offers indoor lakeside seating with large picture windows and outdoor patio seating right on the water. Guests frequently request window seats and waterfront tables; the restaurant also accepts private parties for celebrations. You can arrive by car or boat and ask for a specific area when making reservations.

The ambience is upscale yet relaxed lakeside dining, warm and inviting with panoramic water views. Guests praise the scenic, resort-style atmosphere and attentive service, especially for special occasions. Note that poolside music and DJs from the resort can make it louder on summer nights; if you prefer quiet conversation, request a window table inside or an earlier seating.

The dress code is Resort Casual. Guests commonly wear smart-casual attire suitable for an upscale lakeside setting; consider dressing a step up from poolwear if you’re dining in the evening or celebrating a special occasion.

Yes, the restaurant is used to handling celebrations and special requests. Guests report staff offering roses, signed anniversary cards and dessert for birthdays. For seating preferences, dietary needs or private-party arrangements, call when you reserve so the team can accommodate your request and seat you where it best fits your occasion.

Reservations are recommended because summer evenings and holiday weekends get busy, but walk-ins are accepted. Several guests reported long waits and reservation hiccups on peak nights, so calling ahead to confirm or asking to be put on a waitlist when you arrive is a good idea.

Busiest: summer evenings, holiday weekends (e.g., 4th of July) and sunset service, guests often mention loud pool music and crowded patios. Quietest: weekdays, early evening seatings and non-peak weeks during the April–September season. If you prefer a calmer visit, book a midweek or early table.

Midweek evenings (Tuesday–Thursday) or early evening seatings are often the best choice for a quieter, more relaxed experience. Weekends and holiday nights are busiest and can be louder due to pool music and larger crowds, so reserve in advance if you want a weekend sunset dinner.

Yes, the restaurant accepts private parties and is used for celebrations. Guests have celebrated anniversaries and weddings with special touches, and the property notes private-party capability; call the restaurant to plan a private event and get details on menus and capacity.

Yes, the restaurant operates during its April–September season and has been open on major summer holidays (guests reported dining there on the 4th of July). Holiday service can be very busy, so make reservations in advance and confirm holiday hours directly with the restaurant.

Yes, Windrose offers outdoor waterside seating and patio tables with lake views. Guests frequently mention sitting outside by the lake, watching boats and enjoying fireworks from the patio.
