    The 16 oz ribeye was ordered medium rare but came out rare (almost raw in center) and was cooked from fridge or freezer. It was tough and not aged as menu promises. The baked potato was not just cooked but was reheated and still not hot when served. The salad was passable. We sent the under cooked steak back and it was re-cooked and returned over cooked and tough. This place is not really a steak house but a bar with food. Twice the price of Texas Roadhouse and not I/2 as good.

    We enjoyed our dinner. We were passing through Amarillo and wanted a local restaurant rather than a chain. We found X Bar on Open Table and it sounded perfect. It is located in a new, hip and growing area of the city. The food and service were great and we were in a quieter part of the facility, which was perfect after a long day of driving. If in the area again we will return!

    Our waitress(brunette with gold butterfly clip), drinks(old fashion, white sangria, and chocolate espresso martini), & appetizer(avocado & crab tower) were phenomenal! However, our main course was disappointing… My husband got the t-bone with asparagus and I got a 12oz ribeye. Both meats were a poor cut. They were very fatty and full of gristle. The up charge for asparagus is insane considering you only get FOUR measly pieces. We did get dessert. Chocolate cake and a chocolate espresso martini. The cake was okay, it tasted different than it did the last time we had it. The table we were sat at was horrible. We were super close to the kitchen window, and right next to route the food runners take to bring out food on our side of the building. Which is already cramped because how close our table was to the table next to us. So I was constantly having to move out of the way to avoid being elbowed and hit by a serving tray…. Between the noise coming from the kitchen area, plus the bar, the noise level was incredible loud as well. I really really hope this was just one time incident, and you aren’t going cheap on your steaks. X-Steakhouse is mine and my husband’s favorite place to go for our date nights. This visit was very disappointing…

    Obviously, X- is a steakhouse, but I also highly recommend their other entrees as well. Whether on a salad, in a sandwich, or in an entree, the grilled chicken has always been juicy and full of flavor! As always, the service is amazing!
