Veal shank over basmati family style! Magnificent
I've loved this restaurant for years (I often book it before Shakespeare Theater performances). During our recent visit, I was disappointed to learn that a recent menu change dropped my absolute favorite: Spanakopita. Although offered by many, no one made it better than Zaytinya. Please reinstate this wonderful choice!
Great food and loved the atmosphere
Great ambiance, attention to details. Everyone was pleasant and nice. Food was great. Would recommend and return in the future.
The outside seating is very big and warm. Food was very good. Service was too. Lots to choose from.
A great place to eat if with people who eat different things as you can easily order and share small plates.
Our waiter made very good recommendations for wine and dessert.
I have been to the restaurant once before and I forgot how good the food is. Good wine. A great experience.
Zaytinya is another part of the Jose Andres restaurant network & lives up to the high standards set by him. The menu has a large variety of small plate eastern Mediterranean choices. We shared mushroom, eggplant, chicken, octopus, brussels sprouts & falafel dishes and all were quite good. The restaurant is large but was quite busy on a Sunday evening and thus a bit noisy. Service seemed a bit harried but was still attentive. Give it a try!
As always, everything was perfect—food, wine, service, ambiance. We heartily recommend the RoZAY brunch for two.
Excellent food. All recommendations by wait staff were spot on. Brussels sprouts not to be missed! Outside dining on the upper patio was warm and toasty on a cold evening.
Zaytinya was recommended to me by a business associate who knew my wife and I were laying over in DC for a couple of nights. It was the perfect recommendation. Food was a great value and very delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants a very good, relaxing Greek meal.
Good food, nice vibe, pretty/cool/comfy.
Quick service and delicious food, especially the falafel and brussel sprouts
Absolutely Amazing. Would recommend it to everyone. The food was delicious.
It was a fantastic experience!!!!
Couldn’t love Zaytinya more!! Excellent waiter. Food was outstanding
Good overall experience. Nice dishes and good wine
Really great service, all of the staff, from host to table cleaners, were polite and friendly. Really appreciate this!
Great Friday night spot. Unique cocktails. Really liked the hummus and labneh. Kebab platter had a bit of everything. Highly recommend.
Nice service despite being so busy. Food was very nice with good variety of small dishes that was the right size to share. A bit noisy though.
Delicious!! We ordered the kabab platter, mushrooms with dates and walnuts, hummus, and meatballs. Everything was terrific!!
We took the tasting menu with wine pairing. The wine was always late and came after the food with cups only half filled. Food is abundant yet quality and flavors are not fine dining.
Great selection of dishes and good portion size. Especially liked the brussels sprouts and the octopus. Interesting drinks selection with a Palestinian dark beer. The place has a very high end feel to it with the price level moderate.
Incredibly delicious meal, wonderful drinks, and fantastic service
Always amazing customer service, always amazing food!!
Not worth the high expensive bill.
Wine list extremely expensive, too loud.
The most amazing food! We followed the advice of the server and ordered 3 dishes a piece....and while we had plenty of food, we were so glad we did because we got to sample such a nice variety. I loved everything I had and would go back in a heartbeat. This was probably the best meal I've had in YEARS!
Love small plates since you can try lots of different items. Bread is amazing.
Commercial food quality. The pide tasted like flat bread from Buffalo Wild Wings.. the hummus tasted out of a can, the chicken bland. Would recommend maydan if you’re thinking about actual middle eastern food
Wonderful experience! Prompt friendly service. Great Mediterranean food! Pita bread straight out of the oven and replenished frequently. Family sized dishes their specialty, but small plates available. Our meal for four centered on Celebration Rice. A lamb shank surrounded by saffron rice seasoned with raisins and other veggies. Much like a Tagine. Loved it!
The thing I love about Jose Andres’ restaurants, they never disappoint. Flawless service by service with a sense of fun & adventure. Amazing food. Perfectly paired wine. Amazing atmosphere. I’ll be back!
Zaytinya has incredible tapas. The only challenge is that you cannot conduct a conversation because of the noise level.
Amazing place, food was great and the service phenomenal
The manager help us with our messed up reservation. He took care of everything. But we sat outside.
The food was great.
Sooo loud. Service was lacking. Dips arrived (not what was ordered) without bread, that took 20 minutes and 2 requests. The lamb dish had a ridiculously meager amount of lamb. Eggplant and red pepper dip were delicious! Overall not what I expected from a Jose Andreas restaurant.
The staff were very attentive and the food was fantastic!
Loved everything about our evening! So special and always delicious!
Zaytinya is not worth the hype. This was unimaginative and mediocre. Everything was underspiced.
Jose was a most attentive and excellent waiter. The restaurant was super crowded but the food came out quickly and was delicious. This was our first time there and we’ll be back!
Everything is so delicately delicious and fresh! Thanks!
Enjoyed the Chef’s Sampler dinner for two. A tour of uniquely flavored Mediterranean food served in perfect amounts. Loved the apricot desert. Attentive waiters. Warm ambience. Beautiful architectural setting too. Reservations are essential.
