Locally owned and operated, ZINC brasserie is a French-inspired restaurant that strives to provide fresh, delicious food, attentive service, and a warm atmosphere. The ingredient driven menu changes seasonally, with great features available nightly.
The Hearth Tavern can be found at ZINC, and is a casual tavern setting with an open view to the kitchen and the wood-stone pizza oven. Walk-in seating in the Tavern and on the Patio.
The full menu is available by reservation in the main dining room, and the tavern offers up an abridged version of that menu, with all of the pizzas available.

Zinc owner Caesar is arrogant and has the philosophy that the customer is always wrong. We wanted to substitute risotto with corn (never done by Italians) with butternut risotto. First he said they don't do substitutions!!! Fine dining? Then he said butternut risotto wasn't on the menu. We pointed out that it was. He then said that because it wasn't busy they would do it. What does that matter? I then told him how we always ordered the crab stuffed salmon with saffron sauce but now it was off the menu. He said that they had to change the menu to keep it fresh. We know this is nonsense because at Crush which he owns the menu never changed for years! This caused us to be reluctant to go there. Arrogant with NO idea how to treat customers who are paying premium $$$.

The restaurant was nice and warm on a -3 degree evening! Everything was good. The plating of the food was outstandingly creative. The portions were nice size. The taste was good. It is a hidden gem that you can not recognize from the street. You must enter and be surprised.

They over all have great food. The surf in turf is a very tiny portion and the steaks are not flavorful at all.

Amazing place. The staff was extremely friendly. We went later in the evening for my husband's birthday. When we had desert the waitress even placed a candle in desert and wished him happy birthday.

We were excited to try Zinc for the first time and came away a bit disappointed. The escargot was completely lacking garlic, the entrees were expensive, but not that special and at the end of our dining experience, our server was nowhere to be found. We eventually had to ask another server for assistance and never did see our server again. For a place that markets itself as top level fine dining, we were disappointed.

Heard a friend mention it so decided to try it out. Was very pleased, called friend and thanked him for "name dropping" lol. Very cozy, not a huge crowd atmosphere. Service was great and the food offering were some that are not on every menu in our locale. Chef does a great job, and ingredients are the best. ***** Will go back !
