Redbird - Los Angeles
Fantastic food and wine. We loved our waiter, Dane and even got a private tour of the former church and gardens from the sommelier, Charles.
Over all was good for everyday dining with friends.
The place is cozy, beautiful and warm, need to crank that ac a little bit. Polite front desk and attentive servers. Everything we had was good until I got my steak, that was super salty and chewy.
The food was good and the atmosphere exceptional. A great place to have a relaxing brunch.
Was very disappointed after my first visit to such a written about restaurant. J Gold I love you but you were wrong about the smoked tofu!
Amazing dining out experience, great atmosphere and ambience. Great service and very attentive. Food was very good and my friends and I truly enjoyed ourselves here.
Iv always enjoyed the food and service, however this last time both have gone down. Especially service. Servers was not enthusiastic or excited to be there. Didn’t know what to recommend. Wine man wasn’t to helpful either. He was new. Not the original guy. I guess the best don’t last for long
A truly beautiful courtyard. Kind and skilled service. A marvelous kitchen. A very important top-level amenity in downtown LA.
I will return again and again. Food was Fabulous. We were generally surprised by the gracious portion on the Wattle Pork. Not only was very good but plenty of food. Compliments on the Spanish Octopus and the beet salad. Owners would not like me to tell you that the Wattle Pork was plenty for Two.
The food was delicious. Service was excellent. Cocktails were fun and very tasty. A little pricey but worth it!
Fantastic experience including the valet
Food and service fabulous. Beautiful old architecture with interesting history. Very cool, very wonderful experience .
The cheese/rice/bread, steak, and onion rings. With excellent wine. And great company. Perfect
Loved the food, the room, and Dane our server was really a great guide through the experience. The scallops were by far and away the best I’ve ever had and we skipped dessert and coffee to be able to continue to savor their flavor. The Soft shell crab was crunchy and tasty and the agnolotti in basil sauce was remarkable. Will eat there again.
Also, unless you look up you don’t realize it’s outdoor dining since you’re outside the old rectory building with structures all around. Fabulous setting! It was our anniversary.
Excellent service and good food. A bit pricey (but seemingly on par with LA prices).
Terrific, unboring brunch menu. Warm attentive service. Great room.
Great food. Fun menu. Excellent service.
I’ve long considered Redbird to be my favorite LA restaurant. The building that houses the restaurant is cool with the patio seating. The service is always friendly & professional. The bartenders are knowledgeable and accommodating with drink requests.
The food is really good. I can’t think of a menu item I haven’t throughly enjoyed(although I enjoyed the previous lamb belly plate better than the current version).
The main dishes are excellent. The pork chop is my favorite but the duck, ribeye, halibut & lamb are all exceptional.
However, with all that being said, I’ve come to realize the smaller plates are indeed, quite small & overpriced. They are delicious but are of awkward sharing size if in a party greater than 2 people.
The most delicious food! I mean remarkably sensational! Outstanding service. Interesting ambiance. A great dinner after visiting the Music Center or the Broad Museum or anytime, frankly!
It was good. The food was very good. Everything was overall good. It was overwhelming adequate. Nothing Wow
The service here is always the worst part. The food is good, space is absolutely beautiful, and drinks on point....if you can ever get your waiter to take your order or bring you the food or drinks.
Service was amazing, very attentive. Food was out of this world! Perfect first stop for our first trip to LA.
Decor and ambiance of restaurant was very nice. However, I felt the $50 pork chop was kind of tough and average tasting. Cavaletti was very good and tasty.
Wonderful overall experience by a discerning diner!!
Fantastic service and the food is outstanding! Complementary mix drink of the day is presented as your server greets you.
We were late to our reservation and place was already closed and manager was able to serve us a most delicious dinner Truly appreciate it!!
It wasn’t bad, but A little overpriced for the quality.
This restaurant is a beauty, very comfortable, and delicious. You can feel the relics from the saints buried below the old church. The service and organization were tops.
Great place to visit if you’re in Downtown LA. They were very accommodating to our group and we were seated promptly so we would not be late to our opera even one person from our group was running late. Great service and food was delicious. We tried burrata, beet salad, rabbit pasta, salmon, and scallops. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. They have big vine lost and chose great bottle of champagne. Will definitely go back someday.
Loved the experience. Great food and service . Food prepared with a twist and unexpected.
It was the first time for me at Brunch. I’m always there at dinner. But, this is not going to be the last time. It was fantastic. I had the Duck Confit Chilaquiles, my friend had the scramble with chorizo and we all shared the blueberry ricotta pancakes. It was all fantastic.
Service was amazing. Food was good! The hamachi crudo and avocado salad were the best. The drinks were overpriced. Overall great experience.
Redbird is great! Just be ready though, it’s got a real trendy vibe. Almost a 60s and 70s furniture meets modern design. Very clean look. The drinks are awesome, and not watered down at all! The booth we sat in was cozy and intimate. Service is on another level! Waiters and waitresses constantly gliding everywhere! They are constantly moving around, changing plates, and silverware, filling water, and answering any questions you have! Super nice people that know the cuisine! It’s kinda pricey but the food there is truly next level! Just off Main st. On 2nd in DTLA. There’s lots of parking near by! $5-$10 This place is a must, my wife and i loved it!
Great food drinks and service
The food was fine, service very good, and ambiance lovely. However, the food did not warrant the expense of the restaurant. This place is pretty typical of any mediocre upscale restaurant.
Maybe. Interesting and pleasant room, food very good, cocktails and wine very good. May be disappointed with the service. They got the reservation time wrong even after confirming by phone but we were seated well. We did not receive the welcome rose champagne drink as other tables did. The food came mostly all at once and the table top was very small. If you don't mind indifference you'll be OK. I must say, however, the support servers were excellent.
The food was incredible. Service was great. I did however feel left out of the action as we were sat in a corner near the entrance. And all the action was in the other room I felt... With the trees and greenery. It was more lively... Oh well. I will return tho the food was amazing
Loved the new menu, service is excellent.
Amazingly awesome 👏
