I am new in LA and was trying to find a good restaurante for some friends. Really I was surprised in a positive way about this place. I enjoyed the ambiance, the service and of course the food! It is what I was looking for, the perfect combination. It was like a cosmopolitan mixed that made an impression on all of us.
Una muy buena experiencia en todos los aspectos. No nos gusto la mesa que nos habían dado en un principio y nos cambiaron sin ningún problema. La comida espectacular
Our second time to Republique was as great as the first time! Started with great cocktails (loved the old fashioned) and a number of delicious small plates - The crudo, beignets, and tuna tartare were all so tasty. Also loved the prawns and several of the pastas. The bread is the best anywhere! Republique is the perfect place for a celebration.
Could you please add more vegan options to your menu? I love the food but one or two more meatless options would be really great addition!
Always a great dining experience. We had 5:30 pm reservations but decided to sit at bar instead. Everyone was very nice and the food was excellent.
An atmospheric, ethereal setting mixed with the casual vibe of a communal beer house in Europe. The service was thoughtful (they even brought more bread when they saw I had leftover butter that "shouldn't go to waste" <-- so true) and the food was just as purposefully executed.
Everything was wonderful. Great food and great service.
Had been on my list of restaurants to visit and I was not disappointed.
Can’t want to visit again. Already know things on the menu that I want to try though the 4 of us had quite a few items. Loved them all.
Food is always amazing. Great service as well
If you enjoy sharing wonderfully flavors, and sharing small bites with your dinner mates, you will enjoy what Republique has to offer. Terrificly trained servers, skillfully crafted food. It can be an expensive evening, but choose thoughtfully to what your budget can afford, and it will be an evening to remember.
One of the best meals we’ve EVER had. The trio of pork board is INCREDIBLE. The restaurant is quite large but the level of service makes you feel as if you are their only customers. A must in LA if seeking an amazing restaurant experience.
Being out-of-towners on a short but sweet vacation, my brother and I were researching on where to find some of the best places to eat in LA. Republique is one of the top destinations for eclectic French food, and did it ever deliver!
The entire meal was a wonderful surprise (which included a perfect amuse bouche, complimentary of the chefs) as well as the welcoming and warm hospitality of the servers and the staff. Republique would absolutely be my first recommendation to everyone I know back home to go to in LA when they do visit. Thank you for one of the best experiences and delicious meals I’ve ever had!
It was great!
The Brillat-Savarin cheesecake is to die for - worth it just to taste this dish. Wine selection is incredible but $$$$$.
Wonderful Dining experience. Butter is to die for especially with pan drippings! Chicken was so moist cooked to absolute perfection. Our server Michael was fabulous and made great recommendations. Definitely will be back!
We have always had a special, absolutely delicious meal here, even at the bar. Service, impeccable. The wine list is always a dictionary but the staff is so helpful. Burrata, spot prawns (wish there were 6 instead of 4), campanelle pasta, short ribs, all outstanding.
My husband and I had a wonderful anniversary celebration at Republique. The food, service and ambiance were excellent. I’m already looking forward to my next dining experience at Republique because of the interesting mix of flavors and textures featured on the menu.
Disappointed with the quality of food for the price they charge. Our waiter was very accommodating and helpful.
First time at Republique and it did not disappoint. Everything was fantastic. Felt very taken care of and the quality of the experience was simply outstanding.
Always excellent! The food is unique in taste and presentation. The sommelier was super helpful in helping us choose a bottle of wine. One of our absolute LA faves!
Incredible food. One of the best in LA. Dinner Ave dessert was incredible. Wish we could have had one of everything!
Excellent dinner. Our server, Jacque, and all of the staff clearing the table and filling waters were warm, professional and attentive. The food was incredible (tuna tartare, crudo in thai coconut broth, potato and leek beignets, roasted cauliflower, burrata with heirloom and watermelon salad, spot prawns, spaghetti a la bottarga, deconstructed cheesecake with figs, and warm chocolate cake were fantastic. Our cocktails were exquisitely built (we got the “celery”, “grapefruit” and “Oaxacan old fashioned”). The space is beautiful. We sat upstairs overlooking the main dining space below. Sat at 6pm so the restaurant was still relatively quiet, especially upstairs. A very special experience.
On our way to the bowl. Great dining experience
Exceptional. Service. Food. Wine program
The corn agnolotti were absolutely fabulous!!!
I am sorry to say that I was disappointed. I wanted everything, or at least some things, anything, to be a wow. Instead everything was just okay, certainly not worthy of the price tag or rave reviews. We are glad that we went as a couple and not with friends for the first time. The only reason we may return is for the promise of the touted pastries and breakfast offering. We are still debating.
we loved everything .....the food , the service ....all wonderful
Excellent food and service but overpriced wine list and overall on the expensive side
Not the greatest place to have a conversation, but the food was great, and the place is very nice.
Only complaint - too hot in the restaurant!
Amazing food! The bread and butter is among the best I've ever had. Overall a bit expensive for everyday meals, but totally worth it for special occasions. Noise level is high in the main space. Ask for the back or upstairs smaller room if you like it quieter.
Outstanding. One of the best (if not the best) restaurants in Los Angeles. Both the food and service is exquisite.
Food and flavors were exceptional. Selection was adequate covered most taste preferences. A bit late getting seated there was a (15) minute wait beyond our reservation time. Not terrible but would suggest that the owner/chef have a small treat sample hand out offer while waiting if that wait extends beyond beyond 5 minutes of stared time. Service and hospitality was very good. Both friendly and informative and the "stop backs and check on's" were done correctly. Of note no owner/chef/or management stopped by to welcome, ask how we were doing, and wish we would return. It was not absolutely required or effected our good service just a note. Atmosphere and energy was great. From a value perspective it was ok. Apps both hot and cold were gennerally in the $15-$25 range, entries in the $40 -$60 range. No draft craft beer only bottles. Bread for the table was $8 dollars (Interesting). Wine by glass expensive only one selection of red for $15 most were in the $20-$40 range. Expect to pay $100 to $125 before taxes for your dinner. All in all with all said a great restuarant one I would recommend.
As usual, superb. Eat here every time I’m in LA. Best of the best!!!
It's a pretty restaurant and very popular with well healed "pretty people". But it is WAY overpriced for what it is. The food is good, but not the best I've had. The service was excellent. It is VERY loud in there, hard to talk.
Some of the best dishes I’ve had in LA! The corn agnolotti was to die for! The service is impeccable, the ambiance is unparalleled, this is a must try restaurant!
Food was fantastic! Service was really good too, would love to be back!
