We visit Mambo Italiano several times a year and are never disappointed. Our friends, my wife and I all had the specials which consisted of homemade ravioli stuffed with different ingredients. Mine was beef and veal in a brown gravy with onions and mushrooms. Absolutely delicious. My wife had the butternut squash ravioli and she loved it. Our friends had the 3 cheese ravioli and loved it as well. All of our plates were sizable portions and all of us cleaned those plates!

Nice place with good food and good sauce! Portions are small for the price, however.

Very nice decor but the entrance is by the bar. They had a one woman entertainment with a sound system but she was obnoxiously loud. The hostesses asked her to turn it down but she didn’t. I, the customer, went up to her and forcefully told her to turn it down that she was being obnoxious. She finally did. You couldn’t even hold a minor conversation in the restaurant. The food was good but not as good as I remember it before this expansion. I will try it again but I was not impressed last Friday.

I love to eat here! We start with grilled calamari and a martini. I always order Veal Vesuvio and my husband orders linguine with clams. We are never disappointed ! A great date night! The tiramisu is a great finale.

Food and service is good but making reservations was pretty useless, we waited 30 minutes for our table.

The restaurant is very cute inside — beautiful decor that belies its location in a strip mall. We went on a Saturday night for a 7 pm reservation. We had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. Our waiter Joey was very personable however the place was slammed and it took a very long time for our food to come. The food was incredible once it came — exceeded expectations. There were some hiccups with the sides being cold and a mix up even after they were heated up. But the character of a restaurant comes through when there are issues and Mambo came through with flying colors! The owner paid extra attention to us after we brought the issue with the slow entrees and cold sides to his attention. He gave us a free dessert and offered us free after dinner drinks. He was very gracious and apologetic. That’s the way to handle it! The food was INCREDIBLE and well worth the 30 minute drive from our home. We’ll be back.

It was good, we got 3 dishes all were specials. Fresh, quality, the chicken saltimboca was very good but I've had better. The burrata rigatoni was good but light on burrata. Overall good experience but pricey, $24 for each entree. I would probably go again but more expensive than it should be, it is in a run down strip mall which is a negative.

Made a 645 reservation on open table. At 715 I was told it would be another 10-30 minutes so we went to order at bat. Took 30 minutes to get someone to take our order, and another 30 minutes for appetizer to arrive...and 40 minutes after for main course. HORRIBLE service.

Mambo is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants.
We were a little disappointed that they didn’t have 2 of their specials which are fall/winter type of dishes. The stuffed pork loin and the brajoiule. Both of these dishes are comfort food and delicious on a fall or winter evening. We still had very good meals and enjoyed our evening.

This was the second time I was at Mambo. Both times, the food was excellent. I had lasagna, and did a take home order of ribs and potatoes for my husband. He said the ribs and potatoes are really good. I went with four friends, and we do like to sit and talk. Fortunately, Mambo keeps their music down enough that you can have a nice conversation without feeling like you have to yell, plus you can hear what your table mates are saying. Ask for Robert as a waiter - he's fun!

One of my favorites. I was hoping that the whitefish bruschetta was a special the night I went but unfortunately not. When I mentioned this to our waiter, Steven, he said no problem and spoke to the kitchen. That's the kind of place this is. Good food and good service. BTW, the whitefish bruschetta was delicious.

We have been to this restaurant before and really enjoyed it. However, it was a quiet Wednesday night and my food tasted like it was previously cooked and warmed. The chicken Vesuvio was not crisp and the potatoes were soggy. Our server, an older gentleman, was disinterested. He was impatient with us when we asked a simple question. We will come again, but be selective on the night. Maybe busier is better. And we will certainly not sit in this server’s station again.

Everything was great except for one thing. I had booked a table (not a booth), and we were told that there wasn't a single table available which set off my husband. This is our "go to place" for birthdays, etc. They set a chair at the end of the booth, but we were crowded. The food and service was excellent as always. They said I could request a table, but don't know how to do that on open table when it says book a table, I took it to mean book a TABLE, not a booth

The food was very good. The service could have been better. We each started with a cocktail that arrived promptly. The waiter never came around to see if we wanted anything else. My wife did want wine with dinner and finally had a chance to order a glass just before the enteee arrived. But...it never came. When we asked for the check we wanted to be sure the wine was not being charged. Our reply....."What wine? Oh yes, the cabernet. Sorry about that. Do you still want it?"

Food and ambience is very good. However customer service varies from server to server. We had a poor server who could not offset the long wait we had to endure on A busy night. He complained he had a migraine and blamed the kitchen quite a bit. Didn’t come off as professional.

2 our of 3 meals had no flavor so they were sent back. The manager or owner came and got them with a smug look on her face. No apologies. The waiter however apologized and asked if we wanted something else but we were over it by then.
