Perfection! My second time having high tea at The Langham did not disappoint. I cannot wait to go again and will recommend others do too. Only problem was difficulty understanding the server who brought our high tea, we didn’t know what we were eating but it didn’t matter, it was pretty to look at and gorgeous to taste.
Service was great, staff very helpful, explaining the menu.
Great service and high tea experience, there was plenty of yummy food. The Langham hotel offers a great leaders day out
We had the afternoon tea was terrific. A loud group of people walked in and we complained to the manager and he handled the situation with them very well. Many thanks. Lovely place will return
Beautiful high tea, phenomenal service. Even though we were early, they were set up and ready for us and happy to meet our dietary requirements. Would go again.
Classical setting for high tea. Impeccable and friendly service. Playful sweet treats based around mid winter Christmas on the top plate (e.g. pistachio maccaron Christmas trees, raspberry and coconut Santa hats). Traditional and contemporary savouries. Excellent scones to round off the three plates. Don’t be tempted by the alcoholic, stick to the lovely range of teas. G&T later!
great service, lovely atmosphere. highly recommend
I love the staff so much.. Only because of wonderful service and good ambience I would highly recommend the langham. Thank you so much for making my day and mums a memorable evening.
My friend and I loved our high tea experience. The bar area at the Langham is beautiful and comfortable. We stayed after high tea for some cocktails and a cheese plate both of which were very good and Edward the bartender was outstanding! Knowledgeable and friendly.
Beautiful atmosphere and first class service. Can not fault.
I love high tea at the Langham however we were left disappointed this time as it seemed to lack the energy and ambiance of high tea at the Langham.
1) the room was a makeshift room at the back of the hotel.
2) the sparkling option at $100 felt quite underwhelming (with the brand being a $20 bottle) when in fact there had been a champagne option offered two year prior for the same cost.
3) would have liked more savoury option on the menu or a choice to opt out of the many sweet treats.
Lovely food, gentle service and ambiance. I would go again
There was renovations going on, so room wasn't the usual room.
Service was good
Gluten free high tea was horrible. I've been here before for gluten free and it was good. Seems they have changed their recipes or chefs. Dry and no flavor. Especially as not prepared to order, therefore extra dry.
Would not recommend this high tea to anyone with a gluten allergy. Cannot comment on the normal high tea.
It was a very eventful outing. Great service, great food and overall an enjoyable time!
Food wasn’t that great considering the money that I had to pay $160 for 2 people on the weekend. There was no view whatsoever and it was quite noisy when we were there as there was a wedding going on next door. I had much better high tea experience at somewhere else.
The main room was not in use due to construction work then we were put in the back room which had no atmosphere what so ever & to top it off we had a drunk loud Russian lady which kept staring @ us to the point i asked to move tables & then her credit card declined @ the end of her visit to add to the experience. Little did i know there was a much better vibe in the room next door where the bar is it would have been informative if the staff would have mentioned that we had the option to move in the other room especially when i told the male waiter that i was uncomfortable cause the lady next table was drunk , loud & staring. We would have moved to that room in a heart beat instead my girlfriends first experience @ high tea @ the Langham was a nightmare @ a cost of $200 plus. To top it off a crying baby @ the next table say no more
Had a lovely afternoon tea here to celebrate my mum's 70th, as requested we were sat in a quieter area and the kitchen kindly catered to my partner's unusual food intolerances so he could still enjoy the experience. Many thanks and highly recommended.
It was not as good as expected, we were located at the lounge bar for afternoon tea, food was not as good as expected, too. A bit disappointed. The service was good.
Had a great time, took my parents, they had such a lovely time really enjoyed ourselves, service had great , food really yummy, great day ,
I have intolerance to wheat and cows milk and the Langham were able to provide a high tea that caters for this which is awesome. Unfortunately though the bread was soo dry it was not edible and the scones were soo dense that they were also not edible. Such a shame as the London Langham was very accommodating and I had one of the best high teas there a few years ago.
Booked for a special birthday outing as this is supposed to be the "best" high tea in Sydney. Service was appalling, despite clarifying 3 times which high tea we were having we were brought the wrong one. Sparkling wine was not served, sandwiches were dry and the pies and vol-u-vants seemed like they had been reheated. Very disappointing - I won't be recommending this to anyone, there are much better high tea options in Sydney more reasonable prices. It is far from the best high tea!! The whole experience was very underwhelming.
Food and service unsatisfactory. Very expensive for high tea.
Lovely time. Just a couple of points:
1. add butter to come with scones
2. More sandwiches less cakes
Noise level from neighbouring table (hens) was a bit too loud.
Loved it. Thank you very much
The high tea was really really lovely and the selection of tea was my favourite part. However we would have preferred to sit at table closer to the window as requested in the booking.
Opulent, 5 star experience. Not an everyday thing to do. One of the more expensive afternoon teas but very good quality.
High Tea is boss here. Expensive but probably the best you're ever going to have. Smiles :D
Hi we have been there many times and loved the place and the food. This time the service was very poor to the point I even had to get up to get the water jug.
Sorry but I was with a client and it annoyed me.
We had fabulous Afternoon Tea for my friends mum’s 80th Birthday.
Special thanks to Edward for your wonderful service which made her day even more special.
Beautiful setting to celebrate my sisters birthday. Friendly and attentive staff, delicious food.
Loved my experience at the Langham everything from the day spa, the staff and the afternoon tea was a nice notch of decadence! Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou.
It is such a great experience! Food nice! Dessert are not overly sweet. I ate them all :P
Had a lovely High Tea at the Langham Sydney, the service was excellent, professional & friendly. The food was delicious and atmosphere stylish yet relaxed. A little pricey, but overall a lovely place for the High Tea experience.
Exceptional. Continually out doing yourselves.
Your staff are fantastic! friendly and helpful. Cannot fault anything.
Got extra brownies points from wife.
And the gentlemen who recommended Melon tea was right on point! Good job Langham! If only I could afford a night there haha
Remy's Bistro at the Langham attracted us because of it's recognized quality of service and ambiance. We were very happy with the decor and appointments of the Langham, however, that's where it stopped. We arrived at 7:30 PM for our Valentine's day dinner. We were quickly seated at a very nice table between two other 2-tops where guests were already dining. Within a few moments we were served a glass of French Champagne, a tasty drink accompaniment and reviewed the menu. Our order for starter and main was taken around 7:45. We waited till 8:35 and called the waiter and asked what happened with our meal? He returned and advised "something had gone wrong and the kitchen didn't receive the order." In the meantime, the guests at the two adjoining tables had left and their used glasses, cutlery and dishes remained on both sides of us. I looked around to see if they were overwhelmed with other patrons, but the room was only about a third full. Our starter arrived about 8:45pm, 1 h 15m after we sat down. The scallops were delicate and tasty. Our mains arrived around 9:05pm. The Barra was very good however my NY Sirloin, recognized to be a bit chewier than a rib-eye, was unfortunately very chewy and not up to my expectations. While we were dining, the plates, glasses, cutlery and food remnants at the 2 adjoining tables remained. Around 9:25pm one of the waiters began a partial removal process of the adjoining tables remnants. After the dessert table we got our bill and left. We were now at the restaurant for nearly 3 hours. Too long. Our waiter was very polite and apologetic but the disappointment was done.
I said I would recommend The Langham again as I believe the restaurant has all the right tools and capabilities but someone needs to oversee the service and prevent "lost orders" while we sat at our tables with nothing for over an hour. Good luck and hope we return on a day when it all runs to plan.
A great valentines meal. The food and service were first rate
I would definitely recommend
Not enough staff on Valentine's Day so instead of having a nice experience, the staff members were stressed out. Not a good experience and that is the fault of the management for poor planning.
High Tea experience not as great as I had been hoping for- service was a bit slow and somewhat lacking in knowledge and enthusiasm. Waitress had trouble with the English language.
I am not sure that I would return.
Very pleasant afternoon tea. Wonderful food and service.
