What Insiders Are Saying
You’ll have to sell a kidney to pay the check at The Ledbury, but it will be worth it. Head to the Notting Hill spot for your next very special meal.
Another amazing restaurant in London.! We had 4-course meal which was more satisfying than the tasting course ;) definitely would go back again
Ate here a few years ago and it is still the best meal I’ve eaten to date! Highly recommend the tasting menu as it’s a fantastic set of flavours and great value, the pork is bloody amazing too! Service was fantastic, always felt looked after and didn’t need to ask for anything. knowledge on dishes from staff was Vast and didn’t feel scripted or memorised, it just felt natural and kept me and my partner interested!
Thanks again for the amazing meal!
Service was excellent! We had a 6 course tasting menu over lunch. All the savoury dishes were delicious and creative. However, the sweet courses were not as tasty. Strange flavours were used in choc truffle, caramel, mint ice cream and ewes curd. We’re all about experimental, but in our opinion, those flavours just didn’t fit their respective desserts unfortunately.
Terrific fine dining experience nonetheless though!
Best restaurant in London if not the world! Wonderful service, perfect food, relaxed atmosphere and wide ranging, high quality wine list.
perfect experience for my birthday
Great dining experience with impeccable cuisine and discreet service
Excellent in every way. What a fabulous place the Ledbury is. The taster menu was spectacular, no theatrics, just a succession of beautiful dishes each one as good as the previous. From the canapés to the dessert everything was faultless. The flavours were well balanced and delicious, the ingredients top quality. From the moment a light as air seaweed crisp and Parmesan puff arrived it was clear we were in good hands. The first two courses, Heirloom tomato with crab in a light broth; a salad of fresh almonds, beans and peach were refreshing and light for a hot summers evening. Warm bantam egg with celeriac was a standout dish, rich and delicious. The belted Galloway beef was tender and perfectly cooked. We are not generally dessert people but the brown sugar tart with ginger ice cream was a highlight. The staff are all lovely, friendly and efficient, the sommelier was very informative and we enjoyed the wine pairing to accompany the meal. All in al. A fantastic experience and we cant wait to return.
Fantastic from start to finish. Food was great - service exceptional from friendly non pretentious team.
Incredible meal that was perfect from start to end, without any weak points. Each dish was beautifully plated, with delightfully surprising flavors. Service was excellent. The wine recommendations were a great accompaniment, and we proceeded at our own pace - we did not do the wine pairing but we just might next time round based on this experience! We will definitely be back.
Exceptional food and wine ... team wonderful just brilliant
Just brilliant on ever level - food, service, ambiance all came together to make a most memorable experience and we won’t hesitate to recommend The Ledbury to anyone.
We love The Ledbury and try to eat there at least once whenever we are in London. It’s pricy, but in my opinion one of the very few expensive restaurants that can justify the price. They are also very good about dietary needs. I eat gluten free, dairy free, added sugar free and fish free, and they still provide me with a terrific meal every time.
Food was sensational.Service not only impeccable but fun also.
The most amazing evening from start to finish. Every course was creative and delicious, and service was faultless. Often you feel rushed through your meal, this was not the case here, we were able to take our time over the meal and each course and just had an all round fantastic evening. I cannot praise the waiting staff enough, they were so down to earth, friendly and unpretentious it was a breath of fresh air and the sommelier, Patrick, was so knowledgeable I could have sat and listened all evening about the different growers, vinyards and places. Just go, you won't regret it!
Very warm apparently air conditioning problem! Arrived late first thing that was said ! “ you have to be out by 8.30 “ . You can only have 3 courses. Not what I expected! Food good quality as always service on the whole after our start was excellent. Slightly disappointed after our start !
excellent lunch. Food was amazing. Service was warm and professional as well. Can highly recommend to others
An unrivalled lunchtime experience. Food, presentation, service, staff knowledge and engagement all pretty much faultless. Many thanks to the whole team for making a birthday ultra-special.
Like always The Ledbury delivers everything it promises and then some. The food never ceases to awe in its beautiful presentation, purity of ingredients and complexity of flavour. The service is attentive but unobtrusive. Well worth travelling from LA for.
Food presentation is amazing
Absolutely wonderful in every way! An incredible experience from A to Z!
Great food and great wine list.
We had an amazing dinner, but we felt like it took a bit too long, specially at the begging. It took us 3hrs for the 8 course menu.
The food is very good. So is the service. I like the hook they gave me for my bag hanging at the table. The waiters were there for any movement customers make. When I stood up for toilet, a waitress came up and guided me to the toilet right away. And the wine pairing is fantastic. The sommelier is very professional. The wines he picked match every dish well.
One of the best meals ever!
Some of the best food and service you’ll find in London for sure.
The Ledbury is a must stop for me whenever I visit London! Excellent food (my personal favorites include the Bantam Egg and Hen of the Woods dishes), lovely wine recommendations and "we'll make it perfect" service. congratulations to Brett, Darren, new boy Jeremy and the team for continually meeting expectations!
Lebury is definitely the best restaurant in London, not many restaurants in the world can beat the relaxed yet attentive service. Food is full of flavor and even the most delicate ingredients gets to shine, presentation is beautiful. The wine list is full of interesting producers and blends, and the sommeliers are proud and excited of the wines they have to offer.
Would be nice with some more interesting non alcoholic drinks to pair with the food but that is the only thing.
We will soon be back again for sure!
Our third visits to this Michelin 2-stars restaurant and again it lives up to our expectations in all areas from service, wine list and food. The restaurant is also situated in a lovely environment of Notting hill which allows us to have a pleasant walk to end the day.
Best time ever with my family in London, such a great way to end our trip!
The Ledbury is without a doubt the best restaurant I have ever been to. The service is excellent with knowledgeable sommeliers and attentive but respectful waiters and waitresses.
The Ledbury was above and beyond the other top restaurants in London that I have been to as each course was consistently lovely, some particular highlights were the white beetroot and smoked eel, tomato course, the amazing warm bantam's egg and of course the impeccably well cooked trout. I have to give the desserts a mention as well and pre dessert was beautiful. The current cheese selection is another excellent option to be considered.
We had the maximum number of courses on the tasting menu and the gap between each course is timed perfectly and not rushed so that you can enjoy the long meal without it feeling like a challenge to finish everything. it's a lot of food and our dinner lasted for around three hours.
The canapés and petits fours were beautiful little additions to the evening. The wine list is fantastic and complements the contemporary aesthetic of the food.
Our service was faultless, they invited us into the kitchen to meet the chefs, they gave us complementary ice cream and even gave us a copy of the evening's menu to take home. It's these little additions that are unseen in other fine dining restaurants in the capital that reinforce The Ledbury's position as possibly the best example of modern British dining right now.
Faultless meal and service to belatedly celebrate my mothers birthday. We both agreed was the best meal of our lives and the extra touch of a birthday dessert was a great surprise.
Amazing experience , matches expectations in terms of food, service quality, ambiance ( only slight downside can be the noise when all tables are taken as it is only one room)
This was a special occasion and we were all so happy with our experience. The food was expertly prepared and beautifully plated. Everything from the canapé to the desserts were skillfully executed and delicious with the ingredients the focus of the dish -that is, simple ingredients were not manipulated into anything but simply perfectly prepared and paired with other perfectly prepared ingredients to make a happy marriage of flavor and texture in my mouth. The pigeon was artful. The staff were attentive and read us and our needs perfectly. We loved everything about it.
Brilliant in every way!!!
Unbelievable food, staff, service and surroundings.
If you are thinking of going, go!
We booked for my Wife’s birthday and had a memorable evening. Everything was delicious and we even brought home a bag of mulch for our garden!
Our second visit, will come back again & again...just too good & definitely 3 stars worthy
We went here for my husband’s 40th. We loved it! Best restaurant I have ever been to. Exquisite food and the service and staff were faultless.
Visiting London so wanted to try Ledbury!
I love The Ledbury. It was a brilliant experience and everything worked perfectly. Pricey but not extortionate but worth every penny. Thank you.
Usual high standards in most
Great experience but was missing a little bit of warmth for my liking. We are a very expressive and joyful family and atmosphere was rather subdued. Despite this our servers did warm up to us which made it a beautiful evening in the end.
