Our first time here. We only had one night in Georgetown and found Rodney's on open table. It looked good. But our experience far exceeded good. This restaurant is exceptional! We both consider this a destination restaurant. 400 miles from home is gonna limit our visits but we'll be back! My husband had the lamb chops which he thought were the best he ever had. I had the shrimp and scallops with Woodford Reserve cream sauce, just perfect. Praise goes to the chef and to our awesome server.

Rodney’s food is always AMAZING and the atmosphere is fantastic. Julie was a FANTASTIC server and everything was just perfect. The anniversary card was a sweet unexpected touch that will be treasured. There is no dessert in the world that can compare with Rodney’s HOMEMADE PISTACHIO ICE CREAM!!! That is terrific I would recommend it as a meal, an appetizer, any day that ends in “Y” is a perfect day for ice cream.

FAQs

Portions are typical for a casual-elegant steakhouse: entrée portions are satisfying but plated with fine-dining balance rather than family-style heaps. Guests praise the steaks as generous and “melt-in-your-mouth, ” while desserts (homemade pistachio ice cream, chocolate dome) are highlighted as rich and shareable. A few guests felt certain proteins were smaller or not worth the price on rare occasions, so if you’re especially hungry, consider adding an appetizer or shared side.

Family-friendly: yes, families and birthday parties are commonly welcomed, and guests often bring teens or celebrate special family occasions. Accessible seating: not explicitly stated. The restaurant is in a restored 1840s home, which can affect layout and accessibility, so if you require wheelchair access or specific accommodations, call ahead and the staff will advise or prepare a suitable table.

Warm, casual-elegant and intimate, Rodney’s blends fine-dining attention to detail with a welcoming, homey setting in a restored 1840s house. Guests praise refined plating, attentive servers, and personable staff (Chef Rodney often greets tables). Expect a polished yet comfortable vibe perfect for celebrations. Note: some guests report louder noise levels in certain rooms on busy nights, so request a quieter table if you want a calm conversation-friendly experience.

Yes, Rodney’s on Broadway is a popular pick for date nights and special occasions. Guests frequently mention a cozy, romantic atmosphere in a beautifully restored 1840s home, attentive service, and thoughtful touches (handwritten anniversary cards, chef visits). The menu focuses on steaks, seafood and elevated mains with standout desserts, making it ideal for a celebratory evening. Note: some dining rooms can get lively, so request a quieter table or an early seating if you want a calmer experience.

Rodney’s feels like dining in a restored 1840s home with several intimate dining rooms and a charming back patio. Guests describe cozy indoor rooms, limited seating that creates an upscale but relaxed vibe, and a lovely outdoor patio when weather permits. If you prefer a specific table type (patio, quieter room, anniversary table), call ahead, staff are attentive and often accommodate special seating requests.

Families do dine here, and guests often celebrate birthdays or bring older children. Rodney’s is a casual-elegant steakhouse with a menu focused on steaks, seafood, and chef-driven dishes, so there isn’t evidence of a dedicated kids’ menu. If visiting with younger children, consider an earlier seating and call ahead to discuss menu flexibility and seating to ensure the best experience.

Yes, Rodney’s has a lovely back patio that guests enjoy when weather permits. Multiple guests call out the patio as a highlight; it adds a pleasant outdoor option alongside the intimate indoor dining rooms. If you prefer patio seating, request it when you make your reservation since space is limited.

Business casual is the suggested dress code. Guests typically come dressed nicely for date nights and special occasions, think collared shirts, dresses, or smart casual attire, matching the restaurant’s casual-elegant vibe. If you’re dressing for a celebration, a slightly dressier outfit is common and appropriate.

Wednesday or Thursday evening is often the best choice for a quieter, more relaxed meal. Those midweek nights are within the restaurant’s regular hours and tend to be less busy than Friday and Saturday, giving you a calmer dining room and easier access to staff attention. If you want the weekend energy, reserve early for Friday or Saturday nights.

Yes, the staff is known for personalized touches and excellent service. Guests frequently report the team arranging anniversary cards, accommodating celebrations, suggesting cocktails/wine pairings, and the chef visiting tables. For seating preferences, dietary restrictions, celebrations, or accessibility needs, call ahead so the team can prepare to make your visit special.

Busiest: Friday and Saturday evenings and special holidays (Valentine’s Day, New Year’s Eve) tend to be the most crowded and lively. Quietest: earlier weeknights (Wednesday and Thursday early evening) are usually calmer and better for quieter conversations. Guests recommend reservations and early seatings to avoid noise and secure preferred tables.

Sometimes, guests report the restaurant running special holiday service and set menus (examples include Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Eve), so Rodney’s does open for certain holidays with special offerings. Because holiday hours and menus vary, call ahead or check availability when planning a holiday visit.

Rodney’s on Broadway is open evenings midweek and on weekends. Current posted hours are: Wed–Thu 5:00 pm–8:30 pm and Fri–Sat 5:00 pm–9:00 pm. Because the restaurant runs special menus for holidays and may adjust hours for events, call ahead or check reservations if you plan to visit outside those times.

For a quieter, more relaxed meal, aim for an early weeknight seating (Wednesday or Thursday early evening). Weekends, especially Friday and Saturday nights and holidays (Valentine’s Day, New Year’s Eve), are busier and more energetic. Guests often recommend reservations and early seatings to avoid noise and ensure preferred tables; calling ahead is helpful if you want a specific spot or quieter room.
