Our group of 3 people tried several dishes and every one of them was delicious. The beets are beyond fabulous as well as the steak and frites. We liked the experience so much we came back the next night while we were in town. The cocktails did not disappoint.

The waitress was exceptional and the food was just as good. Bluefin tuna was amazing and my wife loved the steelhead. We will definitely be back.

Drive in to Opera Alley and be transported. We strive to bring approachable food and beverage, a sense of comfort and community, as well as a unique and quality dining experience. We call ourselves a "cafe" in the sense that we are not pretentious and offer a fine dining experience in an atmosphere of comfort and respite.

Parking in Opera Alley, and downtown, can be a bit of a challenge, especially on the weekends, so please be sure to give yourself plenty of time when making reservations to find a parking space, or consider a night off from driving and get an Uber or Lift!! Eat good food often, break bread with friends and family, spend time with those you love, and we will see you soon.

This is my wife and my favorite restaurant in Tacoma. We try to do one date night here every six months. Tonight we had dinner with our daughter before a show. The food was fantastic as usual but the service was incredible. After a minor mistake with our order, we were more than compensated after an apology from the hostess and chef. Their service, atmosphere, food, and value make this place a gem in Tacoma. We will continue to be back!

A charming, wonderful place to pass a meal - props to the warm and historic setting. Friendly service, however quite a wait for dinners and no communication during the wait. I'd like to see Elkins provide a small complimentary loaf of warm bread to tide you over during the long wait. It's a small, inexpensive gesture to diners. However wonderful, flavorful pepper steak with their amazing signature peppercorn sauce. Accompanying asparagus was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the mashed potatoes were abundant and tasty. We shared a huckleberry crisp dessert. Highly recommended! This is a memorable place with wonderful food where you can make many nice memories.

Everything the four of us ordered was beautiful and delicious! I had steak tartare, which is hard to find in this town, and was the perfect combination of egg, arugula pesto, and mustard, served with lovely, toasted baguette slices. My partner had miso cod with asparagus -- my, oh my! He let me have a bite, and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Don't get me started on the desserts. We shared bread pudding and cheesecake -- both lovely. The bartender made me a lovely Perfect Manhattan. Only disappointment was that there weren't as many beers on tap as usual, but what they had was satisfying. Love this place and the wonderful staff!
