Make it a day to remember. From birthdays and anniversaries to professional milestones, we aim to make every gathering special at The Capital Grille. Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required. In order to honor all reservations booked, we ask that all bookings adhere to our suggested dining time frame. Please contact our reservationist if you have additional questions. Our time frames are as follows
2 people - 2 hours
3 people - 2 hr 15 minutes
4-5 people - 2 hr 30 minutes
6-7 people - 2hr 45 minutes
8+ people - 3 hours

Located in the heart of the the Most Beautiful Square in Texas, the award-winning City Post Chophouse began its story as a post office in the 1930s, during the Great Depression and Prohibition. Nearly a century later, the beautifully renovated historic building now offers an elevated dining experience, live music and private events.

Executive Chef Adrian Corkill has curated a stand-out menu, featuring fine cuts and chops of beef, lamb, and pork, as well as fresh oysters, seafood and decadent side dishes served family style, along with unique handcrafted cocktails. Accommodations for vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten-free diets are readily available. Our wine selection includes something for everyone, with a variety of by-the-glass options.

Reservations can be made for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch in our main dining room, where “Texas formal” attire is appropriate. Walk-ins are welcome in our oyster bar, where our full menu is available with a more relaxed dress code.

Outstanding food and service and really enjoyed date night Thursday. The filet was perfect and the sticky toffee pudding is to die for. Great service by Johnny and Heidi and really enjoyed visiting with Chef Jenna. A great experience for our anniversary! Thank you

Great experience. Food was amazing and the tomahawk was cooked perfectly. William was great! We love an experienced server. Also, loved the table pickles. I’m a pickle fan so this was right up my alley.
