**Welcome to Sushi Hakko on Union St. + Fillmore St.**
We'd like to offer our tasting menu that's reflecting Chef Alex Kim and his team's pursuit of top notch sushi experience. For the best experience of our tasting menu, we'd recommend the sushi bar seating, where chef will serve and explain the dish by dish, piece by piece with an extensive information of the skills and ingredients.

Our regular tables are also available for the tasting menu and you can make a reservation at any time slot to your convenience.

This is one of the best meals I had recently. Yeah, price is $$$$, but it is in San Francisco, honestly, price is expensive everywhere. The creative is there, but still showing originality. Service is excellent. Will be back!

SOMA
About the restaurant
The diverse, sustainably driven menu presents a modern take on the traditional omakase experience, underscored by whimsical approaches to Japanese cuisine prepared with local, seasonal ingredients and fresh fish from Tokyo’s famed Toyosu Fish Market. With dynamic courses such as the signature shokupan, comprised of grilled milk bread, toro, and golden Kaluga caviar or the aged, soy-cured bluefin tuna nigiri, Akikos’ cuisine fuses curated ingredients and high-quality seafood with innovative preparation and presentation.

Kindly note we are currently offering omakase experiences for lunch and dinner and do not offer an à la carte menu. For those looking to expand their dining experience, additional selections of nigiri are available a la carte on the nama menu following the tasting.

The omakase lunch experience is offered at $150 per guest, and the omakase dinner experience is offered at $250 per guest.

This was an amazing dining experience. The sushi was some of the best we have ever had. I believe their aging process is in part responsible and also flying it in from Japan. The staff was friendly and professional. We had someone with us who we weren't aware was not a fish fan until right before we dined. The restaurant bent over backwards to accommodate him without complaint. Remember this is a fine dining experience and as such is not inexpensive, however I believe worth it.

About the restaurant
For over 30 years we have had the honor of spreading some of the most traditional Japanese dishes from "izakaya" style bites to a full on sushi bar, the experience at Hana is a bit out of the ordinary but we assure you that the flavor of the food hits home for anyone who has been exposed to real Japanese food culture.

Amazing omakase experience! It was definitely worth it to get the supplemental and caviar add on. The quality of ingredients was superb and the service was excellent. My only complaint is they were out of chicken karaage.

We enjoyed the food and sushi at Mamanoko. We are particular about sushi, and for the most part, the two rolls and nigi we had were excellent. Fresh tasty fish, crisp (not stale) nori seaweed, complimentary sauces and big portions. The only item that was just OK was the pork gyoza. Although the prepartion was nicely done, the ;otsticker itself was kind of flat and seemed compressed, versus full and bouncy. Nice atmosphere and very good cocktails. Highly recommend.

We were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant really did specialize in teas, and not just ones sourced from Japan (though they are our favorite). The fare is more hardy Japanese dishes with Ramen being a specialty. The gyoza were unique with having thin rice "skins" and not the common dough (like pot stickers). Only tried the vegetarian ones and will have to try the pork next time. The entrees were very good but we have to recommend their desserts. The panacotta was EXCEPTIONAL.

Roka Akor is a beautiful restaurant with incredible food. We come here as a family to celebrate any win :). The staff is courteous and attentive. But most of all, the food is sooooo good. Highly recommend the chicken karaage appy, the butter corn, and ribs. All sushi as well. And don't forget to cap it off with the lava cake. To die for.
