Hinata is a Sushi Omakase restaurant located in San Francisco's Van Ness district. We use quality ingredients along with authentic techniques to bring the most surprising and innovative Omakase experience to our guest.

We offer a prix fixe sushi menu starting at $98. Our menu will change daily, depending on the season and what is available from the Toyosu Market in Japan. Our full course meal will include multiple courses: 18 pieces of nigiri sushi, 3 refreshing bites, miso soup, and house-made dessert.

- We only offer a set Omakase tasting menu (each reserved seat MUST order the Omakase)
- We can not accommodate Vegetarians/Vegans.

Absolutely LOVE this place! The sushi is incredible, the chefs are so nice, and it is so affordable! I highly recommend! Perfect for a group, business dinner, date night, or night out with a friend! I recommended the counter seating if no more than 4 people

Very expensive and only allowed 2hours to enjoy your meal. Our table of three certainly dropped $800 and were not allowed to order ice cream because our 2hours we’re up in 15 minutes Food and service was very good Ambiance is lacking Overall very good … kudos to the chef but a little more time to enjoy please.

I wanted to treat my girlfriend after having a hard work week and was recommended this fine establishment by a friend. IT WAS WONDERFUL! Chef and staff were awesome. Ambiance was great and a subtle hole in the wall spot. Everyone who was doing the omakase experience with us was going at their own pace and it was great. Restaurant itself has very cozy decor and we loved it. After last night, it’s definitely our favorite omakase spot !

Two friends from out of town were visiting and wanted some west coast sushi! This place was so perfect. Quiet, cozy vibe on the inside with beautiful wooden tables. The sushi was incredible- two of us got the omakase and two of us got custom rolls. Both were so good and we ended up ordering more tuna/salmon belly for the table. Ben our server was hilarious and well. 10/10. We will be back!
